Today we're tasting EVERY fried chicken in America, from fast food classics like Popeyes, Chick-fil-A and Raising Caines to mid tier options and finally the fanciest we could find... this one gets crazy!

Reviewers taste and rank a vast array of fried chicken and sandwiches across America, spanning from convenience stores and fast-food chains to Michelin-starred restaurants. The evaluation focuses on taste, texture, juiciness, and value to determine which options provide the best quality across different price points.
Today, we're tasting every fried chicken in America.
From iconic fast food...
This puts all the others to shame.
...to exquisite fine dining...
Delicious chicken.
...we're on a mission to crown the best fried chicken in America.
Starting with 7-Eleven and their $5.99 classic fried chicken sandwich.
I was today years old when I found out 7-Eleven even has a fried chicken sandwich
and honestly looks pretty basic with an untoasted bun,
a somewhat decent-looking golden chicken patty,
and kind of rubbery-looking white meat chicken.
But of course, what matters most is the taste.
Fried chicken gods, bless us with this fried chicken day.
Remember guys, we will be breaking this up into three categories.
Sandwiches, classic pieces, and fancy fried chicken
to ultimately crown the best in America.
Is 7-Eleven even fast food?
It's fast and they sell food.
Tastes like a very big dino chicken nugget.
I do not know if this is real chicken.
It tastes like rubber.
It tastes exactly like the chicken sandwich from school lunch.
Exactly.
I like the bread though.
The bread is like a soft brioche and that's a nice touch.
When the bread's the highlight, you know it's gonna be rough.
Apparently, I love this thing.
It's edible, but barely.
I got a fun game real quick.
If all of us score the exact same at any point in the video,
Max will give me $1,000.
What if we don't hit it?
Then you owe me $1,000.
All right, I need like 10 to 1 odds here.
Okay, then you owe me $10.
Deal.
Let's go!
Art of the deal guys, that's how it's done.
Next up, we have made it to Arby's and their crispy chicken sandwich
that costs $6.59.
They're of course famous for the roast beef.
We have the meat.
But I'm not gonna lie, this looks like a legit chicken sandwich.
Nicely toasted bun and very crispy looking patty
on top of tomato, lettuce, and drenched in mayo.
Let's see how it tastes.
Arby's might have the meat, but do they have the chicken?
It's not good, but it's way better than the 7-Eleven one.
I kind of like it.
I love it.
There is a lot of mayo and a surprisingly nice crisp on here.
I love the amount of mayo and usually I'm not a mayo person,
but combined with the really crispy outside of that chicken
and the tomato and the lettuce, I really like this one.
For me, it's the chicken.
It kind of has a slightly grainy, mushy texture to me.
I don't get like fresh chicken breast vibe from that.
I do like the toppings though.
Any sort of freshness is a bonus for me.
I'm also getting a nice peppery kick on the outside of the chicken.
Overall, I'm very impressed.
This is actually ridiculous.
You guys gotta see what I'm dealing with here.
Are you kidding me?
You should be arrested for giving it that score.
No, no, no.
All right, what do we got next?
Freeze!
You're under arrest for aggravated assault and embezzlement of that here Arby's order.
Stop, resist, not!
Yeah, I got one more sicko coming in.
No, no, trust me.
This one's a real creep.
We're bringing out the big guns.
It is time for Popeyes coming in at $6.79.
Famous for their Louisiana style chicken that's been marinated for hours prior to frying.
We got a toasted top bun and some mayo.
Looks like some fantastic texture on the cutlet.
A pair of pickles and more mayo.
This is a very solid looking juicy cross-section.
Let's see if it lives up to the hype.
I can't wait for us all to rate something the same.
That's just not gonna happen.
It's just 10 times better than that last one we just ate.
So apparently this is gonna be a 10 for Max and Sophia.
I agree.
The quality of the chicken, the thickness of the chicken,
you immediately get hit with this like more complex,
peppery, almost Cajun flavor profile.
It's definitely better.
I don't think it's 10 times better.
Pickle is my favorite topping on this sort of sandwich.
It's great.
It's a nice, thick, juicy chicken breast.
This sandwich is very solid.
I love the pickle.
I love the mayo on there.
I also really appreciate the exterior of the chicken.
It's more flaky and that sort of crispiness I think is better than Arby's.
We're getting closer to the same score.
Especially for fast food.
That is an excellent sandwich.
Another heavyweight.
It is time for Chick-fil-A's Chicken Sandwich coming in at $7.09.
Building their highly praised reputation on their hand-breaded chicken.
We got a beautiful golden brown toast job over that crispy chicken.
Two pickles and for the sauce,
we are of course topping with the iconic Chick-fil-A sauce,
which honestly I think gives this sandwich an unfair advantage.
Unsurprisingly, this cross-section is looking perfect.
This is a big one.
Chick-fil-A.
I hate to say it, but I feel like the Chick-fil-A sauce is the highlight.
Like especially comparing it to Popeyes that had a strong amount of seasoning and flavor,
this is kind of bland.
There's two good things about this sandwich.
The pickle, which honestly is slightly soggy, so not fully good.
And the sauce.
I'm choosing Popeyes every day of the week over this one.
The chicken itself feels a little bit rubbery,
but the actual flavor and crispiness is excellent.
Yo, Max, we were just missing you.
This one needs no introduction,
but it is time for McDonald's McCrispy coming in at $7.89.
The empire was built on burgers,
but honestly I've always loved their chicken sandwiches.
Deeply toasted bun with again two pickles
and a particularly dark and crispy looking piece of chicken.
Honestly looks a little dry visually,
but what really matters is how it tastes.
And we're not lying about the crispy in McCrispy.
This thing looks crispy.
A lot of pickle.
This is a pretty good fried chicken sandwich.
Feels comparatively very bland though.
I feel like the last two had a lot of flavor.
This just tastes like fast food McDonald's underlying flavor.
Great bun, great chicken breast, great breading and pickle.
It's not very flavorful,
but overall I'm pretty impressed because it did come from McDonald's,
which probably isn't known for fried chicken sandwiches.
I really wish the pickle wasn't as soggy,
but I do like how crispy everything is,
especially that top and bottom bun.
It really pulls the sandwich together.
I don't even want to look at Max's score right now.
Clearly when it comes to McDonald's,
stick to the double quarter pounder.
Time for another fast food icon
with Burger King's Royal Crispy Chicken coming in at $7.99.
A very pleasant looking sandwich with some lettuce,
mayo and some tomatoes,
which do appear to have caused some sogginess on the chicken.
And a bit of sauce on the bottom bun.
Look, if I'm ordering BK,
you already know I'm always getting the Whopper,
but let's see if that should change.
We have made it to the BK lounge.
Whoa, totally different flavor going on there.
A very strong flavor.
That Cajun paprika-y, a little bit of a bite, but not spicy.
This has what McDonald's was missing for me,
which is more flavor.
I don't love that different underlying flavor that we're getting.
It reminds me more of like seafood than chicken.
I just realized too, it's coming from the sauce.
It's a very distinctive sauce,
but it still has that like fast food lettuce,
either from Subway, McDonald's, Burger King.
Like it has that lettuce that's been sitting out
for the past five hours flavor.
I'm still getting it here,
but because it has that interesting sauce,
it kind of counteracts it.
And I'd say it's slightly above average.
Should we just have three plates?
I just realized.
Think about it.
Sophia's just sitting with a little burger in front of her.
What do you guys think?
Let us know down in the comments.
Should we invest in two more plates?
We don't cut the budget for that.
Do you really?
Do not say yes.
Do not write that in the comments.
We will cut the plate in three.
Wow.
Holy moly.
This is just slightly below the McDonald's one.
I'd rather eat that one.
Next stop is Sonic with their crispy chicken sandwich coming in at $8.53.
Since I didn't grow up near a Sonic,
this one's new for me.
We got some lettuce, pickles, and mayo.
Pretty standard looking fried cutlet here.
Honestly, doesn't look like anything special,
but I'll try anything once.
Sonic?
Hey, do not skip on the mayo in here either.
It weirdly still doesn't feel flavorful.
The chicken's not bad though.
I think there's so much mayo, you can't taste anything else.
I kind of feel like we're back to high school school lunch vibes with this one.
This one reminds me of 7-Eleven.
That chicken is kind of just big chicken nugget.
And the ratio of bread to chicken,
I feel like the chicken just gets lost in this one.
The chicken has a pretty distinct pepperiness,
like a distinct peppercorn flavor.
Are you getting that?
I get that pepper, but it's also sweet and not in a good way.
If you can get Popeyes, never get this Sonic one.
Yeah. Honestly, every other sandwich today I think was better than this.
Yes, even the 7-Eleven.
No, no.
You're telling me you would prefer 7-Eleven over this sandwich?
That 7-Eleven?
If you rank this lower than 7-Eleven, then you're getting arrested.
Kyle?
I said it, I'd rather eat that 7-Eleven sandwich.
You're coming with me.
You didn't have to talk to me that way.
It is time for the legendary Wendy's,
where their classic chicken sandwich comes in at $9.02.
While their square-shaped burgers get most of the attention,
this looks fantastic.
Almost looks like a challah bread bun on top,
with mayo, pickles, tomato, and lettuce over an extremely wide,
yet relatively thin patty,
leading to a unique, but pretty good-looking cross-section.
I've already had so much fried chicken, I think I need a doctor on standby.
What can I do for you today, Max?
No, a real doctor?
What is that supposed to mean?
Which is why I'm excited to announce the sponsor of today's video, ZocDoc.

now let's get back to it.
This chicken is looking like a ground and form nugget.
Very soft bun.
It's more expensive than their other one though,
so I want to say it's a real chicken breast.
I like the proportions here.
Great pickle, great tomato, nice lettuce,
good amount of mayo, solid.
I thought that chicken would be horrible.
It's actually meaty and it's juicy.
The tomato was nice and crunchy.
It tasted pretty fresh.
I still would choose the McDonald's breading over this one though.
This is more like chicken nugget breading,
whereas the McDonald's one was more like flaky crispy breading.
Or the Popeyes really had that flakiness to it.
Those are definitely better in terms of the chicken breading,
but this is a nicely proportioned sandwich and has good flavor.
It's a satisfying sandwich, but it's not necessarily exciting.
It doesn't have any of those like spiced Cajun flavors
that we've gotten in the past,
but it is very well constructed and it tastes fresh.
Yo, another one number off from getting a thousand bucks.
A pretty big jump in price,
we've made it to Shake Shack with their chicken shack coming in at $11.29.
And wow, at least visually,
this has got to be the best looking of the day.
Pretty small bun with a mayo-based sauce.
Just this ultra crispy looking piece of chicken
over some lettuce and pickle.
Sort of a weirdly shaped cross section,
but it does look like real chicken.
So let's see how it tastes.
This looks great.
I like this sandwich.
It almost has like a beer batter looking crust on the outside.
Very different than what we've seen before.
It's super well seasoned, debatably too salty actually.
The flavors and the construction of the sandwich is really good.
I think this is better than their burgers actually.
The chicken is also so juicy.
So you have that really flaky crispy exterior
and then a juicy meaty interior.
They are doing something right.
It feels like a very fresh sandwich,
but I'm tasting the chicken by itself
and it does have that brined flavor to it.
Like it is quite salty to your point, Kyle.
But overall, it does feel like the most premium sandwich we've had today.
Whoa!
What?
Based on your scale, that's high.
Because that was a good sandwich.
It's actually not that expensive too.
This is like $2 more than Wendy's and I'd much rather eat this.
We've made it to our next category.
It is time for classic whole pieces of fried chicken.
And of course, it's KFC at $7.30 per serving.
Easily the most iconic fried chicken in the world.
We got some large golden brown whole pieces.
Although due to them being packaged on top of each other,
these bottom pieces appear to be quite soggy.
And I mean, the chicken doesn't look particularly flavorful.
But as the most famous fried chicken in the world,
I'm of course keeping an open mind.
It's easier to go for a swim in those XLs.
I can fit two hands in one.
That's so weird.
We have officially made it to the category of straight up fried chicken.
And of course, starting with KFC.
Classic.
Super juicy and super flavorful.
Somehow that tastes so good.
Because upon inspection, I mean, it has the most wilted and soggy crust ever.
I do not understand those buckets just stacking fried chicken on top of each other.
It's gonna lead to soggy skin, but you can't deny that flavor.
It just has something about it that makes you want to keep eating it.
It's not amazing, but it always kind of tastes pretty good.
It has that oily funk in there rather than like a flaky crispy crust.
Honestly, solid for what it is.
Switching things up a bit with the Panda Express Orange Chicken for $8.50.
Believe it or not, this is America's largest Chinese restaurant chain.
And the classic golden orange fried chicken is just smothered in the sweet and savory sauce.
It honestly kind of feels illegal to cut into one of these things,
but if you inspect closely, there really is not much actual chicken in each bite.
We'll see if that affects the score.
All right, Max, you wanted three plates.
I'll give you three plates.
Kyle, what?
Kyle, what are you doing?
Dude, you said you wanted three plates.
I never said I wanted three plates.
Play it back.
Should we just have three plates?
I just realized.
We will cut the plate in three.
I feel like I'm at a fine dining omakase right now.
It's artistic.
My mouth just watered as I did that.
Me too.
Really?
I haven't had this in probably 15 years and my mouth started watering when I smelled it.
It's so good.
In terms of satisfaction, this right here has got to be a 10.
The problem is it's basically just fried dough covered in sweet and spicy sauce,
which is delicious.
But if we're talking about actual fried chicken construction and quality,
it just feels like a completely different category.
This is that nostalgic flavor.
It's sweet.
It's a little spicy.
It's like so fried and sweet and yummy.
If you really dig deep into the chicken, there's not much chicken.
Yeah, this is one of those things you shouldn't be dissecting.
Like we took a cross-section.
Just take a look at that proportion of chicken to actual fried dough.
This is a tough one to rank.
It is extremely satisfying.
It just doesn't really feel like fried chicken.
This is a new one for me.
We've made it to the Crispy Crunchy Chicken Crunch Box coming in at $9.99.
Apparently, they mostly operate inside gas stations and convenience stores,
but this is some serious-looking fried chicken.
I mean, this looks extra crispy with some pretty decent-looking potato wedges and a biscuit.
Let's see if this Cajun-inspired fan favorite deserves its cult following.
Whoa, just check out the inside.
There is some deep flavor in there.
I'm excited.
Very mayo-y sauce.
I don't love the sauce.
The internal pieces of meat are very, very well-seasoned.
I'm not actually getting that much flavor from it.
That injected bit is so orange.
I thought it would be packed with flavor,
but it's kind of just like they injected butter or something.
The inside shouldn't have colored flavoring, in my opinion.
Like I want a fresh piece of chicken that's made well,
that doesn't need to be injected.
On something like this, I don't love brines.
I don't love injected butter.
Is it bad?
No, but it does have this kind of manufactured flavor to it.
I don't like this at all.
What in God's name are you doing right now?
And where did you get those shrimp?
I found this under my seat.
I really had higher hopes for this one.
We have made it to Checkers and Rally's and their fry season tenders coming in at $10.19.
Okay, I'm not 100% sure what fry season means,
but these definitely look packed with exterior flavor.
Though, if I'm being honest, they are quite thin and sort of look dry on the inside.
But as we know, looks can be deceiving.
I feel like the breading to chicken ratio is a little off on these.
Love the flavor on that outer crust.
Man, that flavor's good.
It is so peppery, and I love that.
The amount of breading is also a lot more than I'm used to.
It's a lot crispier than a typical tender that I've had.
It almost feels like it's been double fried.
That's how crunchy the outside is.
I like the flavor of it.
I'm not the biggest fan of the thickness because of that chalky texture it gives you.
It also doesn't feel like the highest quality chicken,
but all in all, it's a pretty good tender.
It does kind of feel like your average standard tender,
maybe a bit more crispy than normal.
However, the flavor, I think, is above average.
Kyle!
Yo, Sophia and I are on point today.
Flavor was fantastic, just a little bit too dry.
Oh, what are you doing?
You're not eating broccoli right now.
I was going for snow pea.
Dude, where are you getting all this stuff from?
Wow.
Well, we're eating a lot of fried chicken today with the emergency veggie platter.
It's like the Mary Poppins bag over there.
Seriously.
It is time for Church's Texas Chicken, priced at $10.39.
They've apparently specialized in southern fried chicken for over 70 years
and I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Unlike KFC, these golden brown pieces seem to have maintained their crunch unbelievably well,
and you already know we are dousing in their churchy sauce.
Now, apparently, these honey butter biscuits are as famous as the chicken itself.
I think it's time we taste.
I mean, it looks significantly more crispy than KFC.
Dude, this looks so much better than KFC.
That texture.
This is that flaky crust I like to see.
This is way better than KFC.
This crust is flakier.
It stays together better.
It's more uniform.
It is definitely missing that overpowering KFC flavor that we got from before.
In a good way, though.
This tastes like real chicken that's been breaded, fried.
It just tastes fresh.
The chicken tastes like a rotisserie chicken that's then been breaded and deep fried,
which is pretty good because rotisserie chickens are really seasoned
and the exterior breading, I wish had some sort of pepper or Cajun type of vibe.
It is very much just fried chicken.
I gotta try one of these buns, though.
They're pretty good.
I like that it's not too sweet.
The chicken's definitely the highlight.
You guys are colluding right now.
We're both trying to win me the thousand bucks.
I was trying to win his thousand bucks.
It's not gonna happen.
This is another new one for me.
We got Pollo Campero with their three-piece meal at $12.45.
Originally from Guatemala, they're known for a citrus marinade and Latin spice blend.
Even just the color looks completely different with that reddish hue
and meaty looking pieces of chicken.
I actually feel like I'm gonna throw up right after I eat this.
Dude, this looks rough right now.
Quite greasy and sloppy, if I'm being honest, for chicken.
I love the flavor.
I weirdly like this one a lot.
The spices keep coming out.
Delicious chicken.
This is like you left a rotisserie chicken on the oven for like 25 hours
and slow cooked it to perfection.
It's almost reminiscent of KFC that's just packed with flavor.
But this is a very different type of flavor.
This is very oily fried chicken.
I find myself sweating as I'm eating this.
I feel like I need a quadruple bypass just eating this thing.
I think I need a bath.
It was good, but man, that was rich.
You can't talk about fried chicken without Raising Cane's
and their box combo coming in at $13.49.
Honestly, a relatively pale color on the chicken,
though it does still feel pretty crispy and seems to be full of moisture.
We got the bread, but more importantly, the famous cane sauce,
which is debatably more famous than the actual fried chicken.
But does it live up to the hype?
Let's find out.
Now, this is a nice ratio of exterior to chicken.
This looks juicy.
You look juicy.
Thank you.
Yeah, it was great.
You know, everyone talks about the sauce.
It is pretty good.
I get the hype.
And that outside is remarkably crispy and light.
This feels like a whole different level.
I'm actually most impressed by the juiciness of the chicken tenders.
These are actually really good and juicy.
These bring me back to college.
I went to Tulane my freshman year and we would always get Raising Cane's.
I'm very impressed with this right now.
I'm trying to think of something negative to say.
The sauce is exquisite.
The outside is light and crispy.
The inside is not overcooked.
It's still very juicy.
I love it.
I think that's shockingly high for Raising Cane's.
It exceeded expectations.
Definitely.
A bit of a wild card.
Next up, it's Applebee's and their chicken tenders priced at $14.49.
This neighborhood classic is probably better known for things like their burgers.
And honestly, these tenders are definitely on the smaller side.
Coming after Raising Cane's is a very tough act to follow.
But let's see how Applebee's stacks up.
Visually, I feel like I've been transported back to elementary school.
It looks like a frozen finger.
Come on, Applebee's with this.
Are you kidding me?
Sauce, incredible.
This tender.
Terrible.
Applebee's, what are you doing to this chicken?
This is a bad showing for Applebee's.
I don't think it's as bad as you're implying.
It is extremely basic, but it's not bad.
From a restaurant, I would expect it to be a little bit better.
It's not like that Raising Cane's that was juicy and tender.
This is just like...
It's not anything.
It's very fibrous.
It's dry.
Bad breading.
Chalky breading.
This feels like standard cafeteria chicken tenders.
I don't love it, but I'm not too mad about it.
If you like it so much, you can finish the plate.
All right, fine.
Yeah, that was a lot of sauce.
Oh, man.
Isn't this kind of nice, Sophia?
Just like so much space.
Hey, Kyle, can I get some of that cucumber?
Dude, get out of here.
We're having such a good time.
1.3 plus 1.5 equals 2.8.
You owe me a thousand bucks.
You're an idiot.
For our first Korean fried chicken chain,
it is time for Bonchon's mixed platter at $17.29.
So these guys apparently use the classic double fry technique
that makes authentic Korean fried chicken so crispy.
And this honestly looks super legit with that crunchy outside
and super juicy interior.
They look saucy.
They look glossy.
Korean fried chicken hits different.
It's so good.
I was eight years old when I learned that
these two are different parts of the animal.
Wow, really, really good.
This is going to be a toughie to rape
because I love Korean fried chicken.
I totally agree.
They double fry it so it's extra crispy
and you get that sweet and salty glaze over the top,
almost like Panda Express,
but less like manufactured and sweet tasting.
This is just perfect.
And the breading isn't too thick.
Look at that.
It's thin.
I'm such a sucker for Korean flavors.
Hell yeah, you are.
I love that sweet and tangy and delicious glaze on the outside.
It's awesome and the flavor is incredible.
Korean fried chicken places have the best sauces.
Another absolutely top tier chicken spot.
Have no fear,
Wingstop is here with their classic bone-in hot and honey wings
coming in at $18.79.
When you have wing in your name,
you better make a good wing
and at least based on the color,
we are in for a treat.
I mean, these look crispy and absolutely packed with seasonings.
Okay, for the ultimate flat method,
you pull off the first bone like so,
give it a dip,
and you're left with the perfect one biter.
I'm feeling a little bit ill.
Is there a doctor?
No, please stop.
I have no medical training whatsoever.
Oh my god!
There is so much flavor on the outside of these.
Full disclosure, I'm going to be a little bit biased.
This is my exact order when I'm hanging out with my girlfriend
and we want something fun and delicious and quick and tasty.
This is it right here.
Dude, great crunch on these, right?
They're not breaded, so they're not overly oily.
But I still have a great crunch.
Incredibly seasoned.
A little bit spicy, a little bit sweet from the honey.
But again, I'm biased.
What do you guys think?
Interesting exterior.
It's like very seasoned and caramelized almost.
The heat makes up for the sweetness.
It's a nice balance of flavor.
It is greasy.
However, I love the flavor.
It's almost giving like movie theater popcorn
mixed with kettle corn,
mixed with ranch,
mixed with a little bit of kick.
Bing, bing, bing.
So close.
Yep.
They're good.
So far.
Perhaps the spot with the most hype surrounding it,
we have made it to the Jollibee's Chicken Joy Bucket
coming in at $18.99.
Had to go with both iconic flavors.
So we have the spicy as well as the original.
So apparently Jollibee is the largest fast food chain in the Philippines
and they've exploded internationally.
And they're particularly known for this gravy
that people dip the chicken in for,
I'm telling you,
one of the most cult followings
amongst any fast food chicken brand on earth.
Okay, before we take a bite,
let me show you something we've been working on
for the past two years.
Introducing Island Tacos.
We made taco kits that actually taste like something
you'd get from a great restaurant.
Every kit comes with 10 high quality tortillas,
our from scratch seasonings,
and three sauces we developed ourselves
that completely upgrade taco night.
All you gotta do is brown a pound of meat,
mix in the seasonings,
build your tacos,
and you're gonna be left with,
I'm telling you,
the greatest taco on earth.
Not to mention,
probably my favorite part is that every kit sold
supports the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation
to help fund childhood cancer research.
I promise these are the best tasting tacos
you will ever have at home.
If you wanna try them for yourself,
head on over to islandtacos.com,
use code tacos25 to get 25% off for a limited time.
Jollibee.
Kyle, your knee is touching me.
Listen, my leg is way bigger than your leg, that's fine.
Your leg is way smaller than my leg.
Let's get a side shot of how big my leg is
compared to Max's leg.
How would we need that?

Jollibee.
Dude, this is so crispy.
This puts all the others to shame, genuinely.
It's a night and day difference
between all of those other fried chickens we've had.
I regret a couple of my old ratings
based off of how good this chicken is.
I would never think to add gravy to fried chicken
because if you think about it,
you're just adding moisture to the skin,
which is gonna kind of reduce the crispiness.
But this combination is a match made in heaven.
It's giving Thanksgiving vibes,
and I'm not mad about it.
I don't know if I would particularly choose
to add gravy to my fried chicken in the future.
It's so much better than any other one we've had.
Oh, I was one digit.
I knew I should have done 9.8.
That just saved me a thousand bucks.
Clearly, it's gonna be tough to beat.
You can't talk fried chicken without Buffalo Wild Wings,
and they're bone-in wings that come out to $18.99.
The famous Parmesan garlic appears to be surprisingly saucy,
but it does have this nice little pop of red color in there.
Based on how popular people say these are,
I'm excited to try.
Okay, everybody ready for some wangs?
Are they gonna be wild wings?
They're gonna be extremely wild.
I despise it.
It tastes like Italian salad dressing.
I thought the same thing.
Right?
It tastes like a vinaigrette, Italian, zesty,
Caesar dressing mixed in there.
Which isn't inherently terrible,
but I do not want that on a wing.
I would never choose this sauce.
I would always go Buffalo.
It's not like overly fried.
Oh, oh.
What the heck, Max?
It just exploded on me.
The wing itself, it's juicy.
It's not overcooked.
I want to say these wings feel slightly higher quality
than the Wingstop.
Oh, really?
Dude, I'm the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
I think they're similar, but slightly worse.
Flavor aside, I think the crispiness is a little worse on these.
Flavor is just a little bit worse.
Overall, I'm going Wingstop all day.
Wow!
Are you way too low or am I too high?
I think you guys are both way too far in the wrong direction.
We have made it to the one and only
Dave's Hot Chicken number three combo for $19.
At least visually, I mean, this right here is what I'm talking about.
That stunning deep red ultra seasoned look on the chicken
that still looks very moist.
And this chicken sandwich is literally busting at the seams
with some sauce over the top.
We got some nice crunchy looking vegetables below.
I have a very hard time believing this one won't end up topping our list.
I started at that point where I don't know how much more fried chicken I can eat.
You got emergency beet juice.
I do not do beet juice.
You want cucumber?
No.
You want another cucumber?
No.
Do you want this cucumber?
This is important work we're doing right now, okay?
Don't distract me with cucumbers.
I mean, this chicken looks remarkably well seasoned.
This looks like my kind of chicken.
That's spicy.
Holy crap.
That's a serious kick.
That is a deep flavor.
There is clearly so many spices and seasonings in there.
I love that kick.
It really takes down that oily flavor that you get from fried chicken
and just makes it such a better experience while you're eating it.
So good.
The bread takes away from some of the spiciness.
It's got freshness from the pickles and the coleslaw.
It's really good in the sandwich.
I got the hot because I feel like that's the most classic version, but it's serious.
It's really spicy.
So good.
I love that spice.
Kyle's always sneaking vegetables as if you can't tell.
You always give me crap when I eat them.
And it's like, this is America.
I can consume vegetables at my pleasure.
I love their sandwich.
I actually think that's one of my favorite of the day.
I think this is easily the best sandwich of the day.
The quality of the chicken is extremely high.
It is very juicy, very tender.
Crust is crispy, and the flavor is just out of control.
Are you kidding me?
Wow.
Another one that is going to be very tough to top.
We have made it to our first in the fancy fried chicken category with Joe's Stone Crab.
It's a super fancy restaurant that, believe it or not,
sells a fried half chicken for just $8.95.
Okay, so Joe's is, of course, most notable for their stone crabs,
but if you're in the know, then you know what their fried chicken
might be their best menu item.
Price aside, it is insanely crispy.
And, I mean, just check out how juicy this looks.
We have officially made it to our fancy fried chicken,
starting with Joe's, an absolutely iconic Miami hotspot.
This, I can tell, is high quality ingredients.
Left simple, done right, letting the quality of the chicken shine.
Fantastic.
It is the perfect light flaky crispiness.
And the seasoning, it's like salted perfectly.
It's like salted like the ocean.
This chicken is finger licking good.
I need to see you licking those fingers.
The fact that you can get this chicken for like 10 bucks is actually crazy.
I think it's a half chicken.
I mean, this is like a really high quality fried chicken.
You know what else is expensive there?
Their shrimp cocktail.
Is that where you got the shrimp cocktail?
Their shrimp cocktail was $95.
Me and Safiya have an announcement.
I'm glad we're doing this in front of everybody.
I've come to a unanimous decision on the board
that this is going to be Kyle's last video.
Yeah, it was unanimous.
Unless a lot of people comment down below that they want to keep Kyle,
you're officially done.
Oh no.
Guys, back me up.
I don't got nothing else to do out there.
Kyle doesn't have any skills.
I got nothing going on.
He's got nothing.
This is all I got here.
Help me out.
Help a brother out.
That's a really high score.
That was one of my favorites of the day.
Welcome to our first Michelin-starred restaurant.
It is time for Cote's Sweet and Tangy Chicken Nuggets,
coming in at 20 bucks.
So Cote is best known for their upscale Korean barbecue,
but their Korean fried chicken has always caught my eye,
and these look stunning.
It's got that nice red color from what I assume is gochujang.
Kind of feels like Panda Express on steroids.
We are looking at Michelin-starred chicken.
We have come a long way from 7-Eleven.
I love that.
Wow.
Immediately get hit with that spicy gochujang glaze.
Reminiscence of the banchan.
Or even Panda Express.
You can tell this is made with some high quality ingredients.
The texture is unbelievable.
Flavor is spicy.
It's salty.
It's sour.
It's awesome.
But the fact that it's so spicy too,
it's a perfect balance of flavors.
I love how crispy that chicken is.
It's like a nugget flavor bomb.
Like out of everything we've eaten today,
this is top three for me.
Expectations could not be higher.
It is time for Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen Hellfire Wings for 22 bucks.
Visually, these kind of just look like basic hot wings.
I mean, they have decent color and they are massive.
But we are, of course, topping with the Hellfire Buffalo sauce
with a nice heavy-handed dip of the blue cheese.
Let's see how Gordon does wings.
Gordon Ramsay's Buffalo wings.
Hopes could not be higher.
These things are massive.
That's a really weird sauce.
You can't be calling it Hellfire Wings now that it'd be that sweet.
They're really sweet.
Everything about this wing is perfect,
except for that sauce.
A buffalo sauce should be tangy.
It should be spicy.
It should be buttery.
It should not be sweet.
The chicken itself is kind of squeegee, like rubberish on my teeth.
I actually don't mind the chicken.
When I first put the sauce on my tongue,
I thought I was actually eating a sweet and sour sauce.
And then you keep chewing and it's like sweet buffalo sauce.
I'm impressed by how much meat is on these things.
It's a little expensive, but I can't get by that sauce.
Don't get me wrong.
If you serve me these wings, even with that sauce at a restaurant,
I would eat the entire plate, no problem.
But especially compared to the other stuff we've had today,
there's no way this is gonna rank high.
I think it's a really good wing.
I would get a different sauce next time.
The sauce is part of it, so maybe I should have gone lower.
Can't do that, Kyle. No takebacks.
Wipe down.
We have officially entered steakhouse territory
with Morton's Chicken Christopher for an eye-watering $35.
We all know Morton's is best known for their thick and juicy steaks,
so I don't really know how many people are ordering this one,
but it does look very well-seasoned.
Coarse topping with the sauce, though this does look very thin,
so I'm curious if it'll still be juicy.
With a charred lemon.
Wow, that's a juicy lemon.
All right, make sure to get some of that sauce on there.
Dude, is that clam chowder?
The sauce tastes exactly like clam chowder.
It's like a tangy clam chowder.
I'm gonna be straight up, though.
Yeah.
That's some dried chicken.
Yes, it's way overcooked, but the sauce,
if you like clam chowder, you will love this.
The sauce is really good.
When it's combined with the lemon,
for some reason I'm getting like lemon meringue.
That's the highlight for me.
The chicken.
The major caveat here is that you're not supposed to eat...
Sorry.
There's a lot of fried chicken in me right now.
What I was saying is that realistically,
you're supposed to eat food from Morton's at the restaurant,
fresh, coming out of the kitchen,
so given that this was takeout, there is a huge caveat here.
Come on!
Are you serious?
You owe me a thousand dollars.
Let's go!
I knew it was gonna happen.
Oh my, I retire.
I'm done.
Screw you guys, I'm done with this job.
We have finally made it to Yardbird's Llewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken,
topping our list at $36.
Often considered one of America's greatest southern restaurants,
their fried chicken is apparently brined for 24 hours before frying.
Gotta say, this truly looks like some top-shelf fried chicken,
and for the price, I really hope that ends up being true.
I just can't believe I owe you a thousand dollars.
That's shocking.
Listen, when I want a thousand bucks, I won't say nothing,
but there will be signs.
Nice, what do you want for lunch?
I like pizza.
Kyle, what do you want?
Ten million dollars.
What?
What do you want for lunch?
Caviar, lobster, truffles, whatever, something good.
Ten, no, fifteen million dollars.
That's one of the worst moments of my life.
I genuinely can't believe that.
I really like the exterior coating.
It kind of tastes like a chicken skin chip on the outside,
which is a lot more flavorful than just the breading flavor.
I think they're doing a pretty good job here.
I do like the breading, and it feels high quality,
but it's kind of dry, honestly.
It is a little drier.
This is probably the best breading I've had today.
I really like this one.
I just can't get past the fact that it's dry chicken.
Joe's was juicier.
I'd choose the inside of Joe's.
That sounds...
I would choose the meat of Joe's.
You guys know what I mean, and I would choose this breading.
This one's really flavorful.
You agree, right?
Yeah.
I like this style for, like, good southern fried chicken.
Well, there it is, guys.
Our final ranking looks like this.
Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time.
