AI GeneratedProfessor Ming analyzes a recent article from the PLA website that accuses Japan's right-wing politicians and Prime Minister Takeishi of ambiguity regarding non-nuclear principles. The professor argues that China's accusations are hypocritical, as Beijing engages in the same military expansion, historical distortion, and aggressive rhetoric it condemns in Japan.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Professor Ming's Strategic Insights.
Just a few days ago, I read a piece of news which gave me a big shock. It was an article that
appeared on the PLA's website, People's Liberation Army's website, Communist China. It appeared on
the website on August the 10th and entitled, let me read it out, these words, standing firm,
have laid bare the ulterior motives of Japan's right-wing politicians. Actually, this article
attacks and accuses so-called Japan's right-wing politicians and, of course, Prime Minister
Takahashi. But let me remind you, all the points that Communist China accuses them of,
they themselves hypocritically commit all the same mistakes or crime, whatever you call it,
themselves. Well, the issue happened on the 9th of August, when the city Nagasaki of Japan,
they held a ceremony commemorating the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombardment of the
city. And Prime Minister Takeishi delivered a speech. In the speech, as soon as the one
she delivered a few days ago, she was very ambiguous about the so-called three non-nuclear
principles of Japan's foreign policy, and she did not clearly indicate that she will hold on to the
same principles as in the past, which agitates Communist China very much. The so-called three
non-nuclear principles are non-possession, non-production, and non-introduction of
nuclear weapons to the country. So just exactly what Takeishi said in her speech, she said this,
our country, Japan, is now standing firm on those three non-nuclear principles,
because as the only country who has suffered nuclear attack or atomic attack in the world,
we're shouldering upon ourselves the mission of materializing a non-nuclear world. And it is this
phrase, standing firm, that really agitates Communist China. They accuse Japan or accuse
Prime Minister Takeishi of using these words to play war games, meaning that she's ambiguous
about Japan's position on those non-nuclear principles. And as they claimed, Takeishi and
the so-called right-wing politicians of Japan have been longstanding, have been playing those
kind of war games to cover their real intention. They call it the salami strategy. Beijing accuses
these right-wing politicians of Japan of playing this salami strategy on issues like revision of
Security Act, lift of the right of collective defense and weaponry exports and things like
that. And they think that Takeishi is playing the same game on the nuclear issue. And that,
again, that's what really makes them mad. I'm not sure that whether the Japanese politicians
are actually doing what they're being accused of, but I'm pretty sure that Communist China
is committing the same crimes or the same actions that they're accusing the Japanese are doing.
For instance, they've been building up their military on a massive scale, an unprecedented
scale, and they've been building up their nuclear arsenals, which caused an arms race among the
United States and Russia and other countries. And they're doing things in South China Sea,
such as building reefs into artificial islands and even militarize them to the teeth. So that's
what they've been accusing the Japanese of doing, the so-called salami strategy on these sensitive
issues. But they themselves are doing all these things in these areas. So I'm not sure whether
they have the right to accuse the Japanese of committing all these crimes or actions.
So that's the first accusation that Beijing makes against Japan. And the second thing is they
accuse the Japanese of conducting a crime or making a mistake of history falsification or
history distortion. They're accusing the Japanese of changing the narratives about the Nanjing
massacre in the 1930s during the aggression war against China into the Nanjing incident.
And they try to either downplay the seriousness of the issue or they try to whitewash their history
or they try to whitewash their crime in the history. We must say that it is definitely
unacceptable for the Japanese to change the narrative of their past crime or their past
mistake and try to whitewash themselves. But let's remember that communist China has done that
almost on a daily basis. They've been whitewashing their own past history for literally, they've been
trying to whitewash their own mistakes or crimes almost on a daily basis. For instance, the Great
Leap Forward and the resulting Great Famine, which caused the casualty of 45 million Chinese people
and the Cultural Revolution, Tiananmen Massacre in 1989, and the persecution of
Falun Gong practitioners even up to today, and even to the point of organ harvesting.
And all these things, has the Chinese Communist Party ever admitted their own mistakes or their
crimes? Have they done that? They've been whitewashing all these atrocities even up to
today. So who should we blame? Shall we just blame the Japanese for these, or shall we blame
the Chinese Communist Party for all these crimes? Who's the one who's actually conducting the crime of
history falsification or history distortion? In one of the paragraphs of the article,
the author tries to warn the Japanese and say, if there's no warmongering expansion,
there won't be a tragedy of rising mushroom clouds, namely nuclear attacks or atomic attacks.
And if there's no militaristic expansion, you won't be facing the consequence of your home
turning into ashes or being burned into ashes. All these warnings are very correct, verbally.
It is fair to say this is a fair warning. It is quite correct. But the question is,
which country is the one that is engaging in an unprecedented and massive military buildup?
Communist China. And which country is the one that's embarking on the road of militarism?
Communist China. And which country is the one that's engaging in or conducting a
global infiltration in all the major countries around the world and launching spy wars or
espionage against all the major countries in the world and practicing long-arm jurisdiction?
Communist country. And even worse than that, while they're doing all these bad things,
they're conducting a cognitive warfare against us. They try to call black white, and they try
to invert right and wrong. While they're uttering all these sweet words, they're doing all the bad
things with their own hands. The most critical warning comes in the last paragraph. The article
says this. The lessons of history are not too far. If the Japanese government insists on playing
fire with the nuclear issue, then the heavy hammer of history will eventually fall once again. And
Hiroshima and Nagasaki's yesterday may be Japan's tomorrow. So what do you read out of this?
This is a blatant, naked nuclear threat against Japan by Communist China. No more, no less.
