Hi guys! Welcome to my channel! It is Ágata here. Today I'm here in Simontornya. This is a village
in Hungary. We came here to stay in a hotel. So after this video just check out that video as
well. It's really fun. But today we came to discover this castle in this village. It was
built in 1200. So it's super old and it's still standing here. So now we are going to go in and
just look around. Before you continue please pause this video and give this video a thumbs up
and subscribe to my channel with the bell icon to see a lot more traveling videos. So let's get going!
They have a dragon as a handler. Yeah, it's a European dragon. Such a medieval feel to this castle.
Such an honor to be here. Came into the castle garden.
Walking on the castle walls. I used to do this as a child too. I just went to castles with my
brother and we were walking on these, the remaining of the walls. Came inside and they collected some
tools which used to be in this castle. They found them here. See the dragon motifs here as well.
Here you can see a tiny moquette of the castle and how the whole thing looked like in its full glory.
We watched a documentary video here and we learned that this room used to be the ballroom.
Where in 1512 the princess had a ball with the horseman because she fell in love with him.
And they were dancing here. Here there were some pillars before. They're just resembling it.
And here's some tiny cannon. Just walking up to the second floor.
They made this floor into an art gallery.
Oh yeah.
And here is the balcony. Next floor. They have the whole dining place here.
See these pictures on the walls of the royalty who used to live in this castle.
Arrived up to the office floor. There is a nice balcony here.
Really good view here too with paintings.
That was it. We are on the highest floor. Now we are going back down and just looking around
the castle a bit more. So now we are going to go to a church which is like right next to this castle.
This door of the church is closed so we could just see it like this much. But at least we kind
of get the feel and see like some of these statues and the paintings how it is. Just going to walk
over to a cafe to have a coffee. Until then we just see like the rest of the village here.
Statue of Saint Istvan. City hall of the village with the statue. Here we are. We came to this
cafe called Varga Pékség. So actually they didn't have coffee but we ordered some coke so we are
going to have this. Cheers! So this monument was built for the heroes in the world war. You can
see the names on the sides. That's a list. So here they are and on the other side as well. Now we
arrived back where we started from at the castle. This is a small village so pretty much we saw what
we could. It is very friendly and lovely so I advise you to come here if you visit Hungary one
day. So thank you for watching this video. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe with the bell
icon. See you in the next video. Bye!
