Hi everyone, I'm Kate. Welcome back to my channel. Today I'm going to share with you one of my
favorite subjects which is painted by my teacher's teacher. This is my teacher's teacher's
signature and his painting. This is one of his books. His last name is Ting. We normally go with
last name first in Chinese so Ting Yin Yong. Pictures he was painting at home and let me
show you some of his style. It's very simple strokes to express a subject and this is a crow
and very detailed cicadas. The painting of black and white gourd with a little bird.
These are the colorful frogs. Here's another one. Three frogs at the bottom of a
piece of rock with a bird on top. This is a bookmark from his exhibition.
It's cute isn't it? So that's what we're gonna paint. Okay let's get started. A lot of ink
spread it across the entire head of the big brush. Try another piece of paper if you want
and start to paint a broad leaf.
This is a lighter color by the way so if you have excess of your ink you can dab in
any paper and then make it a little lighter to create an outline.
Now I am making my brush pointy again. Take some dark ink and dry it.
Now I'm gonna paint the frogs. So one here looking up, smiley face.
I think that this is a little wet so I'm gonna wait a little bit and okay I'm gonna paint one
down here. Just looking up. I've never seen my teacher's teacher paint and my teacher has his
own style which is very different so I'm improvising and paint it the way I want.
Every time I paint a new subject I spend a lot of time developing it and repeatedly paint the
same subject over and over again until I get it right or at least I get it to a point which I'm
happy with it. Let me know what you think about this one. If you'd like to see more of the frogs
painting please let me know and I'm gonna share another video or I'm gonna start filming and
sharing on shorts so that I don't have to talk as much and show you all these details. What do
you think? Do you watch YouTube on mobile phones or computer or just an iPad? Okay I'm gonna add
here and this one is also looking up because here I'm gonna add a dragonfly here.
Okay here's the painting from the bottom to the top. Thank you for watching. I hope you
enjoyed this video. I'll see you next time!
