AI GeneratedThe speaker reflects on his lifelong passion for dirt biking, balancing a deep love for exploration and riding with a naturally competitive racing spirit. He discusses his mindset toward competition, his admiration for fellow riders like Toby Price and Ben Gravo, and the joy of discovering the world and meeting new people through the versatility of off-road motorcycling.
I love going out on the weekend, going riding and just having a good time with
mates and trying to explore and find new and different things but yeah at the end
of the day I'm probably more of a racer than a rider. I love competing.
As I've gotten older I think the only reason I race is because I love to ride.
I'm definitely a rider at heart but obviously I do enjoy my racing.
I'm very competitive. I don't like losing but I don't carry on about it if I do but
I like to be that person that's on that top step and that's what I strive for.
I don't think I'm as driven to be competitive as what I was years ago.
It doesn't really cut me up when all the boys are at National Championship and I'm
pretty content just being a rider.
My whole racing career has been I just worry about myself and I don't really care what
anyone else is doing to compete against them. If I go to a race and I've rode my best
and someone's beat me I still leave the truck happy.
Every day I get to get on a bike I enjoy it and I look forward to getting out there and
doing anything that I can on the bike and I can't get enough of it.
Toby Price is one of the only riders I know that was born to race a dirt bike.
If he's not within sight of a bike or at a race or on a ride he's looking around wondering
thinking about organising getting ready for the next ride.
He lives for it absolutely 100%.
He's probably the most naturally talented guy I've ever seen on a motorbike across
the board. Like I enjoy being around him he's a lot of
fun and he's just a big goofy kid really when we're at races.
It doesn't matter if we're even playing a game of cards I'm pretty competitive and
yeah don't like losing too much.
The stuff that I've seen him do over the years at races, in the desert, enduro, enduro cross
or just out play riding he scares the hell out of me with some of the stuff that he does
but at the same time he can make a bike do what he wants it to do at ridiculous speeds.
Probably almost guaranteed to be upside down at some point but we'll do our best to keep
it on two wheels.
Especially on it's first day.
Yeah on it's first day that wouldn't look good.
Even for me riding with Adam I still learn a lot off him. Raymond's the first one to
jump in and jump up something first and he's really good at the technical riding.
Pretty magical place mate.
Dirt bikes can get you to a lot of places that maybe you can get there on foot but I
like getting there fast and discovering the world as quick as possible really.
I love travel, culture and I love meeting new people and I guess to see the world on
a dirt bike is the real attraction for me.
Ben Gravo, he's pretty much to me he's still desert king.
Gravo is one of the most mentally tough and physically tough human beings let alone riders
that I've ever met.
Basically if I'm looking to go get myself in some of the snottiest, horriblest terrain
for motorcycle ride, Adam's up for it and been on a lot of journeys really.
He's been a good friend of mine.
I've had the pleasure to work with him, race with him and have him film and document me
along the way so I'm just happy to be able to do this kind of stuff with him.
Thank you.

We missed it.
