The BEST Functional EDC 3D Prints for 2026

3D printing doesn’t have to mean toys or shelf decorations. In this video, I’m focusing on practical EDC 3D prints you can actually use in 2026.

Using Polymaker HT-PLA and my Bambu Lab P1S, I printed a full collection of functional everyday carry gear, tool accessories, organizers, cordage solutions, trays, clips, holders, and other useful designs.

One of the biggest advantages of 3D printing your own EDC gear is customization. You can change the color, scale, wall count, infill, or dimensions to better fit your hand, tools, bag, or specific use case. That’s where 3D printing becomes especially valuable for practical everyday carry.

Polymaker HT-PLA is designed as a high-temperature PLA that keeps the easy printability of standard PLA while offering substantially better heat stability. Polymaker rates it to maintain its shape at temperatures up to 150°C under self-supporting conditions, with a listed Vicat softening temperature of 152°C as printed. It can be printed on standard FDM printers without specialized hardware, supports printing speeds up to 300 mm/s, and Polymaker recommends a nozzle temperature of 210–230°C and bed temperature of 25–60°C. For even greater temperature stability, Polymaker also recommends annealing HT-PLA for approximately 30 minutes at 80–100°C, with 100°C recommended. The material is available in multiple colors and is aimed at functional parts where normal PLA’s heat limitations can become a problem. (Polymaker)

That makes it especially interesting for the type of projects in this video. These aren’t display pieces — they’re prints intended to organize gear, carry equipment, manage cordage, hold tools, improve existing setups, and solve real-world problems.
