Raiders HC Klint Kubiak on Kirk Cousins' Performance

Based on what Kirk has us do tonight, how are you evaluating his performance? Are you comfortable with the first team he had after he sent three guys to the first team's offense? I still don't think we need to name anybody. We've had a lot of talk about it, a lot of positions. I'm going to watch the film and talk about it with the rest of the staff. And just to follow up on that, what went into the decision that they gave Kirk and a lot of the offense, the defensive offense and the starting center up front? That was my decision, just one of our guys playing together. So I was excited to get them out there together. Clinton, first of all, your first training camp's over now. I'm just curious, what is something that you're leaving this camp with that you think this team is farther ahead than where you thought they would be, please? We have good leadership on both sides of the ball. Max has been excellent throughout the way he plays, the way he talks with the team, the leaders that are building on the offensive side of the ball. Hey Coach, do you believe that Mike Washington stepped up in the role that he wants to play? He kept playing like he practices. He's been consistent. He's an improving player. He's got a lot of good football ahead of him. We just got to keep getting the best out of him every day. What did you make of the play tonight, just about your work you put out there? Yeah, you know, overall offensively, we didn't score at all. So we didn't help the team get victories. I think, I guess a pick, but I think it was a drop ball. We have a couple of sacks, so play that I can do better for him as well.
