Though in the stone There's nowhere left to hide now Beneath the yellow dust is dancing slowly Across the wooden floor A moment I ain't holy Is knocking at my door Better let it in Hello my friends, thank you so much for joining and welcome back to this channel I've been really missing sharing my videos here on this platform but summer was extremely chaotic and I'm kind of glad that it's getting to an end and that September is almost upon us I have a lot of things planned for September and October so I hope I will be able to share my videos every week or every other week Of course life can get unpredictable and fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly and we get the best case scenario and I will be sharing my videos weekly I also have a lot of different projects planned which I of course will be sharing here with you on this platform This being said, one of the most exciting projects is launching already now and I think you know what I'm talking about I made my own mail club! Yay! You know that I've been thinking about for a really long time and I was talking about it quite a bit so I was doing a lot of research about the way how I want to organize it and what I want to include into the little bundle for the mail club By the way, the name of our new mail club is Wonderleaf Thank you so much for everyone on my Patreon, on my Instagram who helped to pick the name I think it's wonderful, I think it's fitting this little mail subscription really well So now I will tell you a little bit of what will go in there and how I decided to do it the way I did it So you probably know that I was considering different ways how I can organize it whether I should split the subscriptions, whether I should do it monthly or quarterly For the moment it felt a little bit too complicated to split the subscriptions into different options and make them both monthly and quarterly mainly because finding the platform on which I can host it and which gives you a lot of versatile options was quite a bit of a bother So I first planned to host it on my Patreon but then I realized that it will be quite pricey there and it wasn't an option for me at the moment because I wanted to include into this little bundle a lot of different things which means that the cost of the production is quite high and especially the postal costs are quite high so I had to consider where I can host it so that I do not pay a big percentage of what I get to the platform that is hosting it and unfortunately Patreon while it's really good for a lot of creators in one way it's really pricey for the creators so with all the like fees and charges it can get ridiculous really so you'll pay like 17% or up to 17% Anyway when I was doing the calculation it didn't feel very realistic for me to host it on Patreon if I want to put into the subscription bundle everything that I was planning so I started searching for the other options and luckily I found one Now My Mail Club is live and you can follow the link here and it will go to Stripe platform which is handling the address book and monthly payments in a very safe way so which was really important for me because I heard a lot of feedback about Patreon specifically that they are quite sloppy in handling the address book and yeah while the payments are quite safe they also can charge you extra if you are buying from your Apple devices so at least that's what I heard it was very confusing and could potentially include higher charges for some clients so I decided that I would like to simplify it and put it into some platform which can host the subscriptions in a very safe way and it will be charged fairly for everyone Also guys I've been thinking quite a bit about the way how I want to pitch My Mail Club to you and that made me thinking I really do not like that in the modern world we are all a part of this marketing culture when we feel like we constantly have to promote ourselves that we constantly have to compare ourselves to our competitors and present our selling points or whatever because I see quite a lot of promotions going just like that especially in the creative industry and sometimes it's done at the expense of the other artists especially when you have to challenge the art of the other people or compare yourself or see why you are better than the others and it really rubs me the wrong way guys because I feel like we could be so much more and so much better if we collaborated more if we did more of cross-promotions and supported one another and we're not just sitting in the opposite corners of the room and looking at one another like here is your territory, here is my territory This being said, I decided that I don't want to make any big pitch about how My Mail Club is so very special because in truth it's only special because I made it and I have hope that if you are here if you're watching my videos, if you're connecting with my art you already like what I'm doing and probably you would like to have something tangible from me as a representation of what I'm doing here and you can collect it, you can have it for yourself you can look at it whenever you like and you know what I stand for You know that I'm advocating for this idea of destigmatization of cute and whimsical art for adults A lot of people think that cute illustration is only for kids and I think it's a wide misconception I think that it's not fair that a lot of people who like cute art are kind of like frowned upon and people think that if you are growing up you only can, I don't know, appreciate contemporary art abstract art that makes you look, I don't know better, smarter, whatever So I think that we people who love cute and whimsical art have the right to love it and it's just a matter of taste and the fact that we are adults doesn't change it and it shouldn't change it So if you're on the same page with me if you like my art, I hope you will join my club and that's it Coming back to the topic of the upcoming projects for autumn So in September basically it's going to be the next video That will be the first autumn video and I will be doing my traditional makeover of the studio so I will be adding a lot of autumn decorations and if it's something that you are looking for so next video will be about that and of course I will also be sharing another autumn inspired art I also plan to do a little shop update in autumn but it will not be big so I decided that this year I do not want to overdo it and there will be just a few items and the earrings which I made today they will go into that shop update if they pass my quality test because I still have to look very carefully at them and see if there are any fingerprints or dents or scratches and if there are any and I think that they are
