Ngày xưa, người Chăm và người Raglai vốn là hai chị em cùng một mẹ.
Khi mẹ đi làm nương mãi không về, hai chị em cùng lên đường tìm kiếm.
Chị trao y trang tổ tiên cho em giữ, rồi mỗi người một hướng:
Người em theo tiếng suối ngược lên núi rừng phía Tây,
Người chị theo tiếng chim đi về phía biển Đông.
Từ đó núi và biển xa cách nhau.
Nhưng mỗi mùa Kate, người em lại mang y trang tổ tiên trở về…
Như lời gọi từ núi gửi về phía biển.
