Satin Fabric Scraps into Stunning Camellia Art - Kinusaiga Tutorial

This is the third project in my satin fabric art series, following my Magnolia and Orchid pieces. For this project, I experimented with beautiful peach, coral, cream and orange satin scraps to create the layered petals of the Camellias.

Kinusaiga is a wonderful no-sew fabric art technique where pieces of fabric are tucked into a design to create a beautiful finished artwork. I love how the sheen of satin gives the flowers an almost painted appearance!

In this video, watch as I transform fabric scraps into a colourful Camellia artwork, from the first pieces of fabric to the finished framed design.

If you're new to Kinusaiga, I hope this inspires you to give this unique form of fabric art a try. You don't need a sewing machine—just some fabric scraps, a few simple tools and a little patience!
