Real Madrid vs. Bayern Highlights: 2013/14 UEFA Champions League Semi-Final

Led by Howard Webb the referee, it is the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg. Ronaldo in behind for Contral and it's hard and low, Benzema! Wonderful breakaway goal by Real. It's their first chance of the night but my how they have made it count. Wonderful goal by Real. They've hardly had a touch of the ball. It's irrelevant, they have the lead. Modric to deliver. Oh Ronaldo was up there, he didn't get there but Sergio Ramos did. Real Madrid have the potentially crucial away goal and is the way for Laetitia going to end this season. Bullet header from Sergio Ramos and the travelling fans can dare to dream after falling short at the semi-final stage of so many of the last few campaigns. Di Maria with the free kick then, decent delivery and it's another goal for Real Madrid and again it's Sergio Ramos and the holders are in huge trouble now. Two headers from two set pieces have given Real Madrid a 2-0 lead on the night and Bayern now need four. Ribery, still Ribery, looked to tee it up for Schweinsteiger but didn't have enough on the pass and Di Maria's got plenty on that pass to find Benzema who's looking for Bale. Ronaldo, it is surely game over. Number 10 could well be on its way to the Santiago Bernabeu this season because Carlo Ancelotti's side are cruising into the final. A 3-0 lead on the night for Real Madrid, a 4-0 aggregate advantage and Pep Guardiola's side need a miracle in Munich now, five goals required. The penalty spot, chance to add some gloss which he does. Cristiano Ronaldo makes it 16 in this season's UEFA Champions League for him and puts the icing on the cake for a crushing Madrid success in Munich. Carlo Ancelotti's side laying down the marker, the holders have been humbled in their own backyard. Alaba, decent hit but another routine save for Iker Casillas. It has been a long, long time in coming. Real Madrid have waited an age for their chance to have another crack at the big one. 12 years and 11 head coaches since they last won the Champions League.
