A trail camera overlooking a remote backcountry pond captures the usual visitors... and then things get interesting.

Mule deer, moose, elk, a black bear and a belted kingfisher all pass through for a drink, a swim or a quick stop. But one bull moose has an unexpected encounter with a large mule deer buck, and his behavior changes dramatically afterward. Later, a moose calf suddenly reacts to something across the pond while its mother barely seems concerned.

Then the camera itself becomes part of the story. Something finds it, moves it, and leaves it pointing at the sky. What the camera captures afterward turns out to be the final surprise.

No bait, no feeding, just wildlife passing through a remote Colorado pond.
