What does it really feel like to fly 600 MPH just above the desert floor?

During my flight with the United States Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base, F-16 pilot “Hash” took me through the legendary Sidewinder Low-Level Training Route—one of the most iconic canyon runs in military aviation.

At nearly 600 MPH, we blasted between mountains, carved through valleys, and experienced the kind of flying that most people only ever see in films.
