Unboxing EKSA E900 Wired Gaming Headset Detachable Microphone 7.1 Surround Sound : Good Tech Cheap

EKSA has hooked us up with the E900 Pro gaming headset and we're going to be checking it out in today's episode of Good Tech Cheap. Let's get to it. Welcome back to another episode of Good Tech Cheap. My name is Brad and I'll be the host for today's episode. But first let's see what we get right out of the box. Okay so we have the EKSA 7.1 surround sound E900 Pro 2-in-1 gaming headset. This is great for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, S, X, Nintendo Switch and PC for all you master gamers out there. Really excited to see what's in this box. Let's get on out. Looks like we have an awesome bag here. It's got a leather-like feel to it. Then we have some cables with our paperwork. Let's see what cables we have first. Oh we have a windscreen for the microphone attachment, the microphone attachment, a USB to USB-C and your eighth inch adapters. Along with a splitter. Fills one in, breaks it up into two and your instruction manual. Alright let's get the headphones out of the bag now. This bag feels really nice. Oh yeah this bag definitely awesome. Headphones have a nice feeling to them. Real durable. The cushions are extremely soft. Some nice red inside letters letting you know which ear is which. Adjustable. We've got a little wire right here. Same on the other side. Fully adjustable. A little wire. These feel really good. They're not plastic. They're actually metal. The screen here is aluminum and they're not too heavy. They got a pretty good feel to them. So right here we've got a volume knob. Here's where you put the attachments in and they also lock. You can see right there we have a lock. Tells you which way to turn it to make that lock. Microphone plug in. USB-C port and the headphone jack. Mic mute. Volume. And that is it. That's what you get out of the box. Now it's time to do some gaming and see what we think. So far I have really enjoyed these. They really come in handy working right along with my PS4 plugging right into the controller with ease. And then when I'm ready to swap them over to my PC, I can easily detach the cable and swap it out to the one that is USB. And speaking of using it on PC, let's take a closer look at that driver software that gives us that 7.1 surround sound. To get the driver you can use the EKSA driver downloads page. To find the device that you have, your driver download will have a link listed with the device image. So once you get the driver software installed, you will get the EKSA audio center. With the audio center you can see that we have USB audio for my speaker device and USB audio for your microphone device. And up here in playback it has 7.1 for your surround sound. And I'm doing 48 kilohertz. Right here you can unlock and pull up the left side or the right side individually as well as put them in a lock mode and move them parallel with each other in or out of level sync. So we'll put that back at 50 percent, knock this one at 50 percent, knock the lock on there, and it easily comes up and down as well as you see it here. And we're also working down using the controls on my keyboard and other volume controls. And with the software in, you will get fully functionality with 7.1 surround sound while using it with USB on your PC, gaming along with your favorite games with your friends. And if you get to a point where you don't want to use the mic attachment, you can easily unplug the mic and use this headset as a nice set of stereo headphones, which works extremely well with multiple different systems, as well as has the durable metal band. The frame quality on these really stand out and I know they mean business when they put the metal frame in it, meaning you're going to get the durability, it's going to last, you're not going to bend it or break it, it's quality. So that's a huge bonus in my opinion. And for using these for a long duration of time, the extra padding helps. They have protein memory foam ear cups for long gaming sessions without any discomfort. And of course all this is given to you with a great design and appearance. I really enjoy the way these look, especially when using them with a PC, because I like that little red light that lights up. Anything about LEDs is pretty cool, especially when it comes to looks. Sometimes it's only the looks that really boost, but not only do these look cool, but they are durable. Overall, I would recommend the E900s if you are in the market for a new gaming headset.
