Ancient history becomes far more difficult to explain when we stop looking only at what people built and start asking how they were able to build it. Some ancient structures contain stonework so precise, blocks so enormous, and designs so complex that the methods behind them remain uncertain even today. In many cases, no detailed records survive to explain how the stones were cut, moved, measured, or fitted into place. What remains are monuments that seem to preserve traces of knowledge we no longer fully understand. The deeper we examine them, the more questions appear. Today, we explore ancient structures whose construction still refuses to fit comfortably within what we think we know about the past.
