Hey babe. I was just leaving the house and I saw a big crow attack and dropped him pretty high up.
I'm really worried about this guy. When I did get him home he couldn't eat on his own.
I started trying to find a way to feed him. His wings were not working very well
and letting him outside to hop around and explore. I noticed that within the first couple days he
started to be confident. His legs are stronger now but he's putting weight on it which he wasn't
before. Squeaker's ready for dinner. I have been feeding him worms now when I can find them.
Anytime I'm outside he's right by me.
So if I'm digging for worms he usually stands right on my foot.
The first time he ate a worm was so exciting because he had his instinct obviously.
Digging in the garden.
Finding in some worms.
He's starting to eat on his own. He's eating ants. He's eating bugs and stuff off the ground all the
time. So he's doing it all on his own now really. And then it just kept growing from there. It just
kind of built more confidence and he gained more momentum. Still wasn't trying to fly.
Go on. You still want to go hey? Hey. Good job. It was about after a week that he started to take
little flights. Look at you. Hi. It made me really excited and happy that I got to see him grow.
He flew even higher.
Nailed it. Hey. Hey pal. Good landing. The first time he landed on my shoulder I was really shocked.
Every day he will eye over and land on the shoulder. Sometimes he lands on my head too.
Okay that's not the right spot for you pal. So it seems like this has become the norm.
He seemed like he would be okay to like leave outside. So I put him in this tree behind me
actually. I knew he'd be safe there but I did kind of feel like maybe fly off because he's
starting to explore more and I'm sure in the next week or so he probably will
be spreading his wings even further. Oh my god you guys I just found Squeaker.
Um I'm out walking the dog and this robin flew near me in a tree so I was squeaking at it
and he sat there and we like chirped back and forth.
You guys I swear Squeaker is here right now.
Squeaker. Squeaker.
