We Cut Our BIGGEST Ocean Picture Stone Boulder EVER!

This is the BIGGEST Ocean Picture Stone boulder we have ever cut!

Our own saws weren't going to handle a rock this size, so we loaded up this monster boulder and took it over to BC Marble Products in Chemainus on Vancouver Island to put their massive wire saw to work.

The goal was something we've never done before with Ocean Picture Stone, cut huge, 1-inch-thick display slabs.

There is always a bit of a gamble when you make that first cut into a boulder. You can see clues on the outside, but you never really know what Mother Nature has hidden inside until that first slab comes off.

And this one DID NOT disappoint!

In this video we follow the entire process of getting this massive boulder onto the wire saw, making the largest cuts we've ever attempted, and finally getting our first look inside. The resulting slabs are absolutely incredible and show Ocean Picture Stone on a scale we have never been able to produce before.

These large 1" display slabs will eventually be available for sale at rock and gem shows across British Columbia, Canada.
