Today I'll be showing you what it's like to volunteer at a local PetSmart or a local animal
shelter and take care of the cats up for adoption. Make sure you stick around to the end of the video
because I'll be giving you step-by-step instructions on how to apply to become a volunteer.
I'll also be showing you the pros and cons of taking care of the cats. I'll start off by showing
you the responsibilities of taking care of the cats and then I'll show you the fun stuff. So
basically if your local PetSmart is partnered with an animal shelter they're going to have cats in
the store that are up for adoption but of course they need to be taken care of. And all you really
have to do is change their litter box, take out the trash from all the litter that you collect,
and give them new food and water every time you come. It's pretty straightforward and it's pretty
flexible because you can just volunteer whenever you want. They'll usually give you a set schedule
but you can decide when and how you come. Usually your shift will last about an hour and you can go
any time throughout the day when your scheduled day has arrived. This is what it looks like behind
the PetSmart where the cats are. So there's lots of toys, there's cat trees, and the funnest part
is you get to play with the cats. Of course when people come around and ask questions about the
cats you might have to talk to them but other than that it's just you and the cats. It's a really good
experience taking care of the cats at PetSmart even if you do it for only a few months because
it gives you a lot of good experience especially if you don't have pets. If you already have pets
well you might come home with a few more. Anyways I put together a cute montage of me playing with
the cats so be sure to take a look.
you
