‘Conflict is coming’ | Labour BLASTED 'addicted to welfare' as Kemi Badenoch pledges defence boost

Kemi Badenoch has pledged a £10billion boost to Britain's defence as she accused Andy Burnham's Labour of being "addicted to welfare".

In a speech this morning, the Conservative Party Leader called on the Prime Minister to take up plans for sweeping welfare cuts, and scrap the Chagos Islands deal and to raise £10billion a year for defence.

Mrs Badenoch said: 'If a Nato country is attacked by Russia between now and the next general election, the Prime Minister cannot defend us by capping bus fares.'
