Driving into Ganjia Secret Realm | A Niche Fairyland Deep in Tibetan Hinterland | 4K ASMR

Ganjia Secret Realm is located in Ganjia Town, Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, about 33 kilometres from the county seat. Sitting on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it covers a total area of 131.23 square kilometres with an average altitude of 2,900 to 3,800 metres. It is a plateau basin surrounded by mountains, known as "a miniature landscape belt of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau". It boasts diverse landforms including alpine meadow grassland, the 15-kilometre-stretching White Rock Cliff limestone escarpment, the prehistoric White Rock Cliff karst cave, and Lake Darzong. Notably, fossils of ancient humans dating back 160,000 years unearthed from the White Rock Cliff cave are of great scientific research value. Within the area stand historical and religious relics such as the octagonal Bajiao Ancient City, White Rock Cliff Monastery and Zuohai Bon Monastery. It has been a settlement of Amdo Tibetan people for generations, preserving a pristine and authentic local culture. Self-driving is allowed inside the scenic area, with a one-way clockwise route of over 40 kilometres of paved road. Along the journey, you can overlook the ancient city, drive alongside cliffs, and take in panoramic views of grasslands and canyons, delivering a rich and varied driving experience. The combined ticket for the scenic area costs around 80 yuan. Due to the high altitude, visitors should take precautions against altitude sickness. June to October is the best visiting season. It is a niche self-driving secret destination in Gannan with low commercialization, combining natural geological wonders and profound Tibetan cultural heritage.
