Hey guys, TechNibbers here. I am doing another giveaway for February and today we are going
back to our roots. A little under a year ago a company called 3DFuel responded to my request
to send me some free filaments to sample and review on my channel and that was basically
the first filament review that I did and it didn't get a lot of views. I didn't have a lot
of subscribers at the time but since then I have tried a ton of other filaments and you know I've
had some amazing successes, I've had some amazing failures but I keep coming back to the fact that
I didn't enjoy printing any of them as much as I enjoyed printing with this 3DFuel PLA so
I recently got an email from them. They have a new color out for Valentine's Day and I was
thinking about checking it out but it also occurred to me that we went all of January
without a giveaway and I'm going to be ordering some 3DFuel for myself so I figured we would give
away some of their stuff and this month's going to be a little bit different. Same rules as before,
you need to subscribe and you need to leave a comment but this time we are going to pick one
winner to receive a full spool that is one full kilo of 3DFuel's Pro PLA, a retail value of about
$35 and we are going to pick two runners up to receive 50 gram spools so they are sample
packages that they sell from 3DFuel. I'm hoping that getting a few of them out to you will inspire
people to try them. I know some people do balk at the $35 price for the Pro PLA and that being
said, they do have another PLA which is a little bit cheaper. Right now, let's go take a look at
some of the stuff on their website. They have lots of cool stuff. If you look here, the buzzed is a
filament that's infused with recycled waste from the beer industry so it's basically made with beer
and the hemp filament is the same but with the hemp industry so I have a really cool concept in
mind for a handheld video game system that runs on a raspberry pi that I would like to use the
buzzed and the hemp filament for so I will be buying a spool of both of those and when I do,
I will also be buying a spool of Pro PLA for the winner. Now, they also have the Workday PLA
and if you look, it is five bucks cheaper and the quality is pretty much the same. It comes in most
of the same colors. I really, really enjoyed working with the Workday PLA as well but none of
the PLAs I have tried even come close to comparing to the Pro PLA and they have a standard as well
at 25 bucks a spool which is a little bit more in line with things you might find on Amazon.
With these guys though, it is consistent and it is very good quality so sometimes I buy a
$16 spool on Amazon from one company and it's good and then a couple months later, I buy it
and I have the suspicion that it's from the same giant bulk batch because it doesn't print as well
and it started to dry out even if it's somewhat sealed. These guys, you're going to get a quality
product every time so I definitely encourage you to pop over to the website. Actually,
on a funny note, this is the second time I had to make this video because when you pop over to this
site, go ahead and try it now, 3dfuel.com. A window is going to pop up and they're going to
talk to you asking if they can help with anything and it is not a robot. It is not a pre-programmed
machine. In fact, it is usually their vice president of sales and we had a decent conversation here a
minute ago and he asked me to tell you guys that if you do get into trying their filament and you
like it, if you buy more than 50 spools a month which seems like a lot for some people but trust
me, once your addiction kicks in, 50 spools a month really isn't much. If you get 50 spools
or more a month, you do get a bulk discount which is quite a significant discount. They do have some
PETG. They have some water soluble which is a little on the spendy side for filament but not
necessarily for a water soluble filament. It's actually quite reasonable and the other thing
we're going to look at real quick, let's transition back to the site here and I will show you
the samples that they have and they are just simple 50 gram sample packs.
The sample box is sold out at the moment but you will be receiving, if you are a runner-up,
one of these. It will be my choice. I'm just going to grab a couple and have them sent to you
but there are some really, really cool things. You could get something that you've never tried
before. I might send you one of their PETGs, maybe cotton, maybe I'll send you a beer filament
sample. Who knows but basically that's the gist of it. So once again, in order to sign up for this
contest to win the 3DFuel, you need to subscribe to the channel and leave a comment on this video.
The winner will be picked on the last day of February and we will get in contact with them.
As usual, the rules we instated last time say that if you do not respond to being the winner
on the video in seven days, you are forfeit and we will draw another winner. So make sure that
you're checking the channel at least close to the winning date or a day or two after the first
couple days of next month to look for that winner video and see if you are the winner.
The first person drawn wins the full kilo, any color of your choice that 3DFuel makes of their
Pro PLA and the next two names drawn will receive sample coils of my choice. So yeah,
enter the contest now, leave those comments, don't forget to smash the subscribe button,
please please share this out on Twitter, on Facebook, Instagram, all of your social media
so that as many people as possible get the word about this amazing filament and get the chance
to try it. Like I said, some people are going to say, oh well that's a lot for a spool of PLA,
but you know what, I'm buying it, I will send it to you, I'm going to send out a couple samples
too because people really need to know about the high quality that 3DFuel puts out.
