Side mounting your filament spool! - 1.6
as you know i have printed several mods for my Ender 3, and until recently i had 3 filament guides on there... well the bearing in the rolling guide was printed, and was starting to give out, and the guide that kept it off the z rod was worn almost all the way through. the arm guide on top is holding up fine, but its time for a change. it seemed like providence that Chuck featured this little mod on Filament Friday, as i remember seeing it in his video "3 simple upgrades for the Ender 3" but hadn't thought about it since.

the mod we are undertaking today will be side-mounting the filament spool, to let it run right into the extruder, and this looks to be very efficient and effective. I decided to try this, so i asked chuck if it would be alright if i featured his part. he said it would be fine, and made me aware that his part is a modified version of a different part on thingiverse, by drstreet, so i have included links to both the original by drstreet, and the CHEP version. and so without anymore todo, lets mod this ender 3 with a side mounted spool holder!
