Raise3D's IdeaMaker - WOW - This could be a Cura Killer!
On this channel we test all sorts of slicers, and were always checking the latest versions, so you dont have to. in this video, we have quite the gem for you! This is Raise3D's slicer ideaMaker, and its beautiful. Find out why i say ideamaker could ba a cura killer. Raise3d's ideamaker is compatible with most FDM machines now, so i decided to test it out for the Ender 3, and i am sharing the results. this slicer has immense capability and is very straightforward. Where prusaslicer seems like an interface nightmare from 1992, ideamaker is sleek and modern, with a simple but powerful interface that just seems right. in fact, in my opinion it flowed a little better than curas.
Ill tell you all the pros in the video, but the Cons of this software are as follows:
no rotate face to buildplate (thats ok, its a new feature for cura too)
some of the labels for items and settings have different labels than you may be used to
thats it. other than that i think i have my new preferred slicer. and thats saying a lot!
