Days after catastrophic floods hit Nepal, search and rescue operations continue across the country. According to The Kathmandu Post, security personnel searching the Upper Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel found two people alive and the body of another person, but no further survivors or bodies. Armed Police Force personnel said sections of the tunnel were buried under mud, soil, sludge and rocks, while water pressure caused slabs above the tunnel to collapse. The August 26 Bhotekoshi flood affected several hydropower projects, leaving tunnels covered in mud and debris.
