come join the q and a and watch as i pit my artillery genius against my ender 3 v2! this printer is amazing. were are printing an engine benchmark test
Want to send me something? Technivorous 902 n Hughes Blunt Sd 57522
All right and welcome everybody today we are pitting my ender 3 v2 against the artillery genius here
Uh, both these models I think should turn out fairly
Well, as I mentioned in the live chat, they're both 16 millimeter layers at 100 millimeters per second
That is the average speed. So that is not the speed of the walls versus the infill
That is just the overall speed setting in here
So i'm using the exact same settings and in fact the exact same profile
They're both using the profile from the ender 3
And not even the v2 just the ender 3 I put them at 0.16 millimeter as I said, so hey there, how's it going?
Uh, we are just kind of getting into this just now
So, uh, this is gonna be a three hour print when it's done. We're gonna take them off
We're gonna compare them now what I should have done
Is gotten out another spool of white filament and matched it to the ender 3
That would give me a little bit more of a similar material to measure because the problem with white is it hides defects really well
And I don't have two spools of the gold so I probably should have switched over to get a better comparison
But we'll see how that tunes out in the end when we compare the two prints to each other
So exact same settings two totally different printers
I am a big fan as you can see from all these machines in the background of creality machines
but this artillery genius has really really blown me away and I mentioned in one of my other videos that
A lot of people were hating on the artillery opponent. I've not tried it yet
So I would love to um, actually no so that noise that you hear it's not squeaking
um that noise
I guess maybe you could call it a squeak but it's the extruder so
Um, hang on one second here and I can tone down some of the other noise
And if you listen for a minute, honestly the artillery is
The quietest machine that I have
Um, it does make some noise
but uh
unlike the
And this is one of my gripes with dual z machines
They're really really loud the anet et5x down here the anet a8s that I had they were or a8 pluses were dual z and
they were just so
noisy and never accurate this one actually I think is uh
Uh a much better built machine than any anet i've ever seen. That's for sure
Uh, whether or not it's going to compare to the ender 3 v2. I will leave that up to you in the end
Um, I know that I already have a preference at the moment
But I have yet to print the same exact model on both of them. So that may change when this is all set
Yeah, this extruder really gets cranking on this uh artillery genius and you can hear it it's more of a zipping noise
um
But this printer i'll leave on overnight
um
Basically without it being a bother because it is really really quiet the ender 3 v2 is really super quiet as well
There are some times
Um when it retracts
Because it is a bowden machine that it makes a little bit more noise
um
biggest difference between these two is probably that setup the fact that the artillery genius here is a direct drive, which
Usually not
I mean it can go either way depending on what you're printing. I prefer the direct drive for things like
Uh
Can you take tpu and flexes and stuff like that
They do have a satsana mod for
uh the ender 3
Not sure if it'll fit the 3v2 it would take some modding
although there's actually now a retro mod for the 3v2 that puts the hot end basically back to
Fitting the configuration of the ender 3 so you can adapt all these other mods. So
Um, that's actually a very interesting looking cooler it looks like kind of a combination between a pet spang
It's a beast I might have to try one of these
That's a good suggestion man for sure
Tolerances and hot like that don't necessarily affect how well your parts fit together. He tries it out and you know
That's exactly what I was looking for. It works perfect
And that's what it's there for so
This is the model right here as you can see it's got a little handle here that turns these rotary pistons and
It should be fully moving and functional when everything is said and done
So that's what i'm looking for out of both of these models
We'll see how tight the details are do a quick comparison because as I said
The settings are exactly the same and they're both using a pretty standard pla even though they're not the same color
