Gazelle froze up when it saw the Male Lion

In extreme cases of overwhelming fear—especially in young or inexperienced animals—the sudden rush of adrenaline can cause a vasovagal response, shock, or tonic immobility (temporary paralysis). Probably what happened to this gazelle.
