Texas Southern VP/AD Ashley Robinson's Pregame Interview at the 41st Labor Day Classic | LIVE BLOG

We're here with Ashley Robinson, the Athletic Director of Texas Southern University. What do you think about this day, man? It's 41st Labor Day Classic. 41st Labor Day Classic, man. It's exciting. A great day. The only game on college football today at 11 o'clock, so excited about that. Everybody asked why we're playing on Sunday. I think this is the start of something big. AD Golf and myself, we're going to make this one of the biggest classes in the country. Yeah. Well, look, it's only been a few weeks since you took office. How does it feel settling in at this time? It feels good. It feels really good. Things have been great, man. Had an opportunity to meet with our coaches and our administrators. Opportunity to meet our great student-athletes, man. So, you know, here to get some things together so we can support our coaches and our student-athletes. But these last couple weeks have been great. Well, this is not your first Labor Day Classic. Right. You know, being on the P.V. side, now you're on the Texas Southern side. How different does it seem? I mean, you know, it feels good. You know, it feels good. You know, coming down here. You know, when I got the P.V., I just had a trailer and a bunch of land. So, you know, seeing the things that I built and seeing steel kept up and things looking well. Excited, man. Very, very excited. AD, thank you so much and congratulations again. Thank you. Go Tigers.
