A Restaurant Made Millions From This Pumpkin Milk Recipe — Here’s the Secret! _ Top DIY.

Could an ordinary pumpkin really become a million-dollar idea? Today, we're turning fresh pumpkin into a smooth, creamy pumpkin milk with a naturally beautiful golden color. No heavy cream. No complicated ingredients. But here's the surprising part. How do we make it so creamy while keeping that beautiful golden color? Let's find out. First, let's prepare the pumpkin. We're using one kilogram of pumpkin, peeled, seeded, and thoroughly washed. For the best color and flavor, choose pumpkin with deep orange flesh that's firm and not too fibrous. The deeper the orange, the more vibrant your pumpkin milk will look, and less fiber means a smoother result after blending. Cut the pumpkin into small, evenly-sized pieces. This simple step matters because evenly-sized pieces cook at the same rate, giving us a consistently soft texture without overcooking some pieces while others remain firm. Now place the pumpkin into a pot. Now place the pumpkin into a pot and add about 2 liters of water. Cover with a lid and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for about 12 to 18 minutes, or until the pumpkin is tender enough for a fork to slide through easily. If you see foam rising to the surface, simply skim it off. When the pumpkin is completely tender, turn off the heat. Now remove the pumpkin from the pot and let it cool slightly before blending. But don't throw away the cooking water. This is one of the little details that makes a difference. The water has already absorbed some of the pumpkin's natural color and flavor, so instead of replacing it with plain water, we'll use it to blend the pumpkin and control the final consistency. That means more pumpkin flavor, better color, and a smoother, more naturally delicious pumpkin milk. Once the pumpkin has cooled slightly, place half of the pumpkin into a blender. Add about 300 to 500 milliliters of the pumpkin cooking water. Don't add all the water at once. We want to keep control of the consistency while blending, rather than making the mixture too thin from the beginning. Blend until the pumpkin is completely smooth. Now pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer. Use a spatula or spoon to gently press out any remaining fibers. There's no need to press too hard to extract every bit of pulp. We're looking for a smooth and creamy texture, not trying to squeeze out every last bit of pumpkin pulp. And take a look at this. The pumpkin we're using today has almost no fiber or pulp. That's exactly why the mixture can become thick, smooth, and incredibly silky after straining, without adding any thickening agents. Continue blending the remaining pumpkin with a little pumpkin cooking water, then strain it the same way. If there's still some pumpkin clinging to the blender, add a little pumpkin cooking water, rinse the blender, or give it one quick blend to make sure we use every bit of pumpkin. Then strain it and pour everything into the pot. Now add 1 quarter teaspoon of salt. Don't worry, this amount of salt won't make the milk taste salty. Think of it as a flavor base that helps balance the overall taste and brings out the natural sweetness of the pumpkin and the richness of the milk. Next, add 350 milliliters of unsweetened whole milk. Then stir well until the milk is completely incorporated into the pumpkin. You'll see the color start to become a brighter golden orange while the texture becomes softer, smoother, and creamier. Now check the consistency. If the mixture is too thick, don't add a large amount of water all at once. Instead, add the pumpkin cooking water little by little, stirring well and checking the consistency after each addition. You're looking for a smooth, creamy, and pourable texture, thick enough to feel rich and velvety, but still able to flow gently when poured into a glass. Especially if you plan to drink it chilled, don't make the pumpkin milk too thick at this stage. It will become slightly thicker once chilled. So, starting with a texture that is creamy yet easy to pour will give you a much smoother, richer, and more enjoyable cold pumpkin milk. Once the pumpkin milk has reached your desired consistency, place the pot over low to medium-low heat. Slowly heat the mixture while stirring continuously. This is a very important step. Blended pumpkin contains a lot of natural solids. As it heats, these solids can settle to the bottom of the pot and easily stick or burn if you don't keep stirring. So, don't take your eyes off the pot at this stage. It's nice to know that we see each other all over the world. When the pumpkin milk starts to gently simmer, reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Continue stirring and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. There's no need to bring it to a vigorous boil. We simply want the heat to allow all the ingredients to fully come together without losing the pumpkin's fresh, natural flavor. After a few minutes, turn off the heat. Now taste a little while the milk is still warm. Pumpkin naturally has its own sweetness, while whole milk adds a gentle richness and creamy dairy flavor. So, you may find that you don't need any additional sugar. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little pure maple syrup after turning off the heat. Don't add too much at once. Start with a small amount, stir well, and taste again. The goal isn't to turn this into an overly sweet drink. We simply want to enhance the pumpkin's natural sweetness while keeping its distinctive flavor. And here is the final result. A glass of homemade pumpkin milk with a naturally beautiful golden orange color and a smooth, creamy texture. When poured into a glass, the milk flows a little more slowly than regular milk, but it's still light and easy to drink. Take a look at this texture. Not as thick as pumpkin puree and not as thin as regular milk. It falls somewhere in between smooth, creamy, and pourable. That's the texture I want in a perfect glass of pumpkin milk. If you prefer it chilled, let the milk cool slightly, then pour it into clean bottles or containers. Seal tightly and refrigerate as soon as possible. The milk will become slightly thicker once chilled. So, keeping the texture smooth, creamy, and pourable from the beginning will make it much easier to drink when served cold. Since this is homemade milk made with fresh pumpkin and fresh milk, use it within three to four days and always keep it refrigerated. If you notice a little separation after refrigeration, simply shake or stir well before drinking. You can enjoy the pumpkin milk warm or chilled. When served warm, the cooked pumpkin aroma becomes more pronounced, along with the gentle, pleasant richness of the milk. No cream. No complicated ingredients. With just pumpkin, milk, and a few simple ingredients, you can create a glass of pumpkin milk with a naturally beautiful golden color, a smooth, creamy texture, and plenty of flavor. And sometimes, the best recipes aren't about adding more ingredients. They're about knowing how to treat simple ingredients so they can bring out their very best flavors. The video ends here.
