Nigeria facilitates safe return of ex-Sierra Leone Prez Ernest Koroma

Former Sierra Leone President Ernest Koroma has returned home after spending two years in Nigeria. His return follows the decision by the Sierra Leonean government to drop treason charges related to a 2023 army uprising. The process was facilitated by Nigeria and ECOWAS to promote regional stability and political reconciliation ahead of the 2028 elections.
