AI GeneratedMartina Lilly reviews new luxury releases from Victoria Beckham Beauty, focusing on the Augustinus Bader collaboration concealer, Posh lip balm, and brow gels. While the concealer is praised for its natural finish and skin-like wear, the lip balm and brow gels are criticized for poor application and lack of performance, leading to a mixed verdict on their overall value.
Hello friends, welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you are new here.
I am Martina Lilly and today I am going to give you guys my thoughts on the new Victoria
Beckham concealer, as well as her new brow products and her Posh lip balm.
So hopefully that sounds interesting to you guys.
If it does, go ahead and do the YouTubey things, like, subscribe, hit that notification bell
and let's get into it.
You guys are zoomed in nice and close, 4K no filters and everything I use on my face
today will be linked in the description box down below for you guys.
If you do check them out though, they are affiliate links.
So thank you so much if you use them and I will have timestamps if you're only interested
in certain parts as well.
Let's talk about the Victoria Beckham beauty cross Augustinus beta concealer.
So if you are new to my channel, I really love and adore the Victoria Beckham beauty
brand.
I have quite a few videos where I've done like a full face of using her products and
testing a heap of different products.
So I'll actually create a playlist and I will link that in the description box down below
if you're interested in checking out other Victoria Beckham beauty videos.
When I saw she was dropping a concealer, I was very, very excited and I'm a member of
her V suite, which you can sign up to for free and I got early access to shop it.
So I was very excited.
So this is the packaging right here and it is one of the like little kind of clicky pen
type concealers, which I think you're either a fan of or not.
I personally kind of neither here nor there, but I don't, it wouldn't be my first choice
of packaging if you will.
Now I got the shade FL one, so I will give you a swatch of FL one now.
So that is the shade FL one.
And I've already been testing this for about five days now and I've worn it every day since
I got it to like really test it out.
And this shade is a little bit light for me.
However, I've figured out a way to make it work for my under eyes, like on its own.
Now normally I do kind of mix concealers together to kind of create my perfect shade.
That's always the case for me personally.
But for the purposes of review and testing, I wanted to test the formula very much on
its own.
I was originally going to pick up FL one and FL two, however I was a little bit taken aback
I will admit by the cost of this concealer.
So I'm going to give you guys the details and everything now, if that doesn't interest
you, just skip to the timestamp where it says I'm applying the concealer.
So this one is 68 USD, which is 114 Australian dollars.
So yeah, that's, that's, that's why I did not pick up two shades of this one.
I was like, we're just going to wing it and hope this shade is good.
There are 16 shades and the majority of the undertones are neutral undertones.
It says they're like flexible shades because it's a light to medium coverage concealer.
I don't know about that.
I have a feeling the undertones definitely in particular, I mean, shade ranges always
need expanding in my opinion, but I think the undertones of this concealer probably
need expanding quite a bit too, because even when I did my WA, WA, sorry, um, Westman Atelier
concealer review, I know there wasn't a whole lot of like rosy undertones in that concealer
collection.
And a lot of you guys were quite disappointed in that.
So I'm going to go out on a limb and say the undertones of this might not be a hundred
percent, um, available for everyone that needs them, if that makes sense.
So it's made in Italy and it has six months expiry.
And I would say it holds pretty close to a six month expiry just because it is a clean
beauty product.
I usually find when a product claims to be that clean beauty, usually it holds pretty
close to its expiry date, but they also, expiry dates are also just what they've paid to test
it for.
So it's a little bit hit or miss.
We shall find out at the six month mark.
Now this, this little concealer only has 2.4 mil of product, which is 0.08 ounces of
product.
And just for reference, because I was like, that seems low, I checked three other high
end luxury concealers to compare the product amount and the price.
So I'm going to put the price per mil on the screen as I talk about these just to, so you
can compare them.
But for example, the Westman Atelier concealer, I have notes down here if you're wondering
why I'm looking, has 0.21 ounces, so this is 0.08 ounce and 2.4 mil.
And then this one has 0.21, yeah, 0.21 ounce and then six mil of product is 74 Australian
48 USD, so a lot more product.
Now if my like little calculations here are incorrect, just ignore it.
Okay.
Because I am not the best at math.
So I did the best I could.
The Chanel sublimage concealer versus this one, which the Chanel sublimage for me is
the most expensive concealer I've purchased at 141 Australian dollars, which is 105 USD.
However, you get 10 grams of product, which is 0.35 ounces.
So quite a considerable amount of more product.
So while it's more expensive as a whole, you're getting way, way, way, way, way more product.
And then the other most expensive concealer I've purchased is the Tom Ford shade and illuminate
concealer.
Now I don't actually recommend this concealer.
I recommend the other two, but for reference, this one was 113 Australian dollars, 95 USD.
And this one has 5.4 mil 0.18 ounce.
So this one is the most expensive per mil or per ounce of product by far out of all
of them.
So you don't get a lot of product in here and you're paying for it.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's because this is made with Augustinus
Beta, which is a very expensive luxury skincare brand.
And the claims of the skincare ingredients and ingredients in this concealer is going
to be why it is priced a lot higher.
So in terms of whether or not like the skincare claims and the claims of this concealer makes
that price point worth it to you, only you can very much decide that for yourself.
So the claims of this concealer, I'm just looking down at my laptop, um, conceal to
reveal the high performance double impact formula of the concealer pen that gives you
exquisite second skin light to medium coverage, uh, immediately perfects while proprietary
skincare actives improve your complexion in four weeks.
Most concealers these days are claiming that whether or not it's true, I don't know.
It says it has an eight hour nourishing veil, so you can spot conceal with radiant real
skin finish, 16 flexible shades, which I talked about.
They claim that it stays smooth throughout the day and never, never settling into fine
lines or pores.
So I guess they're saying that basically you can kind of use this as like a foundation
type, you know, like just conceal where you need to for make no makeup look.
Maybe it has the clinically proven skin benefits formulated with TFC eight, um, by Augustinus
Beta, which is his like, it's what makes his skincare brand.
So like, I guess, famous, luxurious, expensive, um, I personally have never tried the skincare
brand to actually tell you if whether or not those products work and how effectively they
work compared to other brands, but you know, sound off in the comments if you have ever
used them.
So that one in particular is going to be why this concealer is a lot more expensive than
the others.
It also has a whole host of other ingredients that they are claiming to be, you know, really,
really beneficial to the under eyes.
So you can like check out her website to see that more in depth.
I will say it does have coconut quite, quite high up in the ingredient list for this concealer.
I am sensitive to coconut, however, I find with concealers because I just concentrate
them here.
I'm okay using that ingredient, um, in a concealer, but if you are uber sensitive to coconut and
can't have it at all, just keep that in mind.
I believe that's all the claims that I need to cover.
So what I'm going to do now is I'm just going to speed through me putting my primer, my
foundation and my color corrector on, and then, um, we will come back and like, I will
talk through the concealer application with you guys, uh, for reference, I'm actually
testing the La Prairie foundation today because you guys have been wanting me to pick up and
review this foundation, but I wanted to test it first just to see, cause it's so expensive.
For reference, the way that I have made this shade of concealer work for my under eyes,
because I do have the darkness in here and the melasma and hyperpigmentation out here,
which is why it can be difficult to pick a shade in particular for my under eyes, just
because I have different types of shades that I need to cover up.
Um, because this one's a bit lighter, it can tend to make my darkness and my under eyes
look a bit grayer, um, or just like turn it gray a little bit.
So I have just been using the Natasha Denona color corrector in C1 on its own.
Normally I would mix a slightly lighter shade of like the Rare Beauty brightener or the
Chanel like pink rose, um, color corrector into this.
Cause this can be just a little bit too deep for my under eyes, but because this is a bit
deeper, it does combat that extra lightness that the concealer has in terms of the shade.
So that's just an FYI of how I've been making that like shade work for me.
If you find you have a similar problem and only purchase the one shade, for example.
Okay.
So let's do that, uh, speed through and then we'll come back and apply it.
So we have up until foundation on, uh, that La Prairie foundation initially, I, I don't
mind it.
It's, it hasn't like, I haven't put it on and going, Oh my gosh, wow, this is amazing.
Um, but it does make my skin look nice and healthy.
Doesn't it?
Anyway, I'll keep you updated on, on that one.
All right.
Okay.
Uh, before we actually do put the concealer on, let's talk quickly about this posh lip
balm.
Cause I need some, so I picked up the shade Fleur and there is four shades.
So a clear one.
And then there's three different shades.
It's like one of those packages, uh, products where you, you can click it up, but you can't
like click it back down.
So just be mindful of that.
Oh gosh.
My camera.
Slowly.
There we go.
So that's it there.
dollars.
So kind of stand for a luxury brand, if you will, um, clinically proven lip perfecting
balm with nourishing and smoothing ingredients that lend 24 hour hydration in a sleek stick.
That's rich.
Um, and it says it's a plush melty formula.
Each twist releases a precise dose of posh balm with the softest texture achievable in
a super slim bullet.
The decadent hyper emollient formula lends an entrancing glide with a 24 hour hydration.
And then it says, if you've got a different shade, you can like the clear, you can build
it up.
Here's my thing.
I do think this is very hydrating.
Don't get me wrong.
I do think this is very hydrating on the lips.
I do not find this to be hyper emollient at all.
I find this to be the complete opposite to the point where I have to like drag it across
my lips, um, to actually get any product on my lips from this because it's like, it
feels it, it's like it's frozen in there.
Like it's so stiff of a product.
So I have been warming it up a little bit on the back of my hand, which is annoying,
but let me apply.
So that's the lip balm applied.
I like my lip balms to just kind of be like a soft tint of pink usually or clear warming
it up on the hand, on the back of my hand before I applied on the lips helps if I don't
do that.
I'm like this trying to drag it across my lips to apply the product.
So I do not agree with the fact that this is hyper emollient.
I think you got to work to apply this from my experience.
I don't know if it's just mine or not, but I use this in a members video the other day
and one of you guys in the membership comments and saying other people have complained about
that same thing.
So yeah, I don't know if it's this batch of formula or what, but it is not hyper emollient.
It's quite, it's quite hard to apply.
Like you need to work for it.
However, I will say once it's applied, it lasts a really, really long time and is very,
very hydrating on the lips.
So if you still want to give it a go in terms of the product itself, once it's applied,
it's actually lovely, but, um, and it's quite a thick lip balm.
It's not a, um, a thin one where you just feel like you're constantly going to have
to reapply it.
It does, unless you want the tint to it, you'll need to like reapply it.
But it is one of those ones that you can kind of apply in the morning or whatever, or even
at night.
And it's really going to keep your lips hydrated for a very, very long time.
But that application is, yeah, I wouldn't repurchase it based off how hard the formula
is because there's obviously other lip balms that you can also use that aren't like that
and also provide the same level of hydration, you know, now for the part that you actually
really are here for the concealer application.
So I am going to apply a bit here and a bit here, and I find this formula, I'll actually
do one eye at a time.
Apologies.
I was going to do both eyes because I've been testing them, but I'll show you one eye at
a time.
So, um, this is an MY8 brush from My Kit Ko and Danessa.
And I just like to tap the product in and it is slightly too light for me.
If I was using this not on its own, I would add a drop of another deep concealer in just
to offset the shade.
I've been pleasantly surprised by this concealer.
Okay.
When I first tried it the first day, I was like, nah, I don't think it's going to be
for me.
It's way too light of a coverage.
So that's one layer with nothing.
I ended up even on that first day, cause I was going into the office, I ended up actually
even mixing in a drop of my Westman concealer cause I was like, this is not enough coverage
for me.
Then I tested it.
Um, I did the members, if you're part of the membership, you would have seen the members
only get ready with me, um, where I was just testing this concealer.
Um, and that was probably the second or I think that was the second day I tested it
and I was kind of like, yeah, like I can build it up.
It's pretty good.
But I still kind of, I was like, I'm not sure, you know, wasn't super, super wowed by it
was like, it's good, not outstanding, blah, blah, blah.
But I will say the more I test this, I do like it a lot more than I thought I would.
I really, really do.
I thought, um, this was going to be way too light of coverage for me and I was just, it
was just going to be one of those like nice little concealers that I just use as an extra
step to kind of use it up, but I can actually use this on its own and it does a really nice
job in terms of the coverage.
I would like extra coverage ideally, but on its own, it still has a pretty good solid
medium coverage considering that it is a light to medium.
The other thing I like about it, the first couple of days I use it, it must've just been
my under eyes at the time, but I felt like my under eyes were looking drier than normal.
However, and I don't know if it's just that it doesn't apply like, you know, some concealers
will apply and they kind of, you can see the extra like hydration and plumped upness of
your under eyes.
And then as the day goes on, they kind of settle in.
So I don't know if this, I think this one just applies, or I have found that this one
just applies kind of how it's going to wear the whole day.
So it applies very, very smooth and really melts and becomes one with the skin instantly.
And I wouldn't say it's as smoothing as what like say the Westman Atelier concealer is
or the Chanel sublimage concealer is for example, however, it isn't texture enhancing.
It does have a nice soft blur to it.
But I have found that like how it is right here, how it applies, that's how it stays,
which is impressive.
So I'm going to do the other side, just so you can see what it looks like with one layer.
I use more of this product, I will say, than I would of say like the Westman Atelier or
the Chanel sublimage concealer, but that doesn't surprise me considering it is a lot
less coverage than, than those two particular concealers.
And I just really try and make sure that I'm just stamping it into the area that I want
it.
Now this is all going to depend, like keep in mind, this is very much just my opinion,
not a makeup artist, just a makeup lover that is sharing what works for me and my thoughts.
And also my, you know, I'm going to base it off my preferences, my opinions, that kind
of thing.
So just keep that in mind, watch other reviews, that kind of a thing.
So that is one layer of the concealer on both eyes and it's looking pretty nice.
It has done a nice job.
It really, really, really has.
So let me build this up.
I kind of have found, depending on the day, some days my eyes, you know, we're humans,
some days you haven't slept as well, so your eyes are darker than other days, that kind
of a thing.
I think today I seem to be having a good under eye day, so that's exciting.
Depending on how like dark my under eyes are and, you know, the vibe that I'm going for
on the day, how I'm feeling, that kind of a thing, I have been doing two to three layers.
The darker my under eyes, the more layers basically, and it layers really well.
So it does have that buildable coverage in that sense, which, which is perfect.
That's what, what I want.
I want a buildable coverage.
So that is two layers right there.
Again, I think it looks really, really nice.
I really do like the way that this finishes on.
I again, would like just a touch more coverage.
I almost would be intrigued to get a deeper shade as well, to see if just mixing that
deeper shade in would offset that.
My melasma is also a little bit more pronounced out here at the moment too, just because of
being in the sun.
But yeah, I just think it looks really nice and healthy on the under eyes.
I know a lot of you guys are instantly going to comment down below.
How do I feel about this versus the Westman Atelier concealer?
I need to play with them both a little bit more to give you that answer.
I do initially, just off the top of my head, I do recommend the Westman Atelier concealer
more for a couple of reasons.
One price and value for money.
Two, the coverage on the Westman Atelier concealer is you can get it to be a full coverage, but,
and then you can, the less you use, the lighter the coverage, you know what I mean?
I think the Westman Atelier product is a bit more versatile and you get more product for
a better price.
I do recommend the Westman Atelier concealer based on that.
However, if price isn't your concern and the coverage, maybe you just want a light to medium
coverage concealer, stay tuned.
I will do a this versus that on them, where I can actually give you, okay, these are the
really minute differences that I've discovered between the two.
I'm not going to be able to do like a wear test where I film it now and then come back
at the end of the day.
I've just got work is going to be too hectic and stuff.
Before I do the speed through of like the rest of my makeup and talk about the brow
gels and stuff, I do just want to mention the difference actually, even between the
Westman concealer and this concealer, I have to use powder to set my under eyes with this.
Otherwise it does kind of move around and it just like the Westman really was like self-setting,
which is a claim.
This claim, this does not claim to be self-setting just for fairness.
So because the Westman was claiming self-setting, you should hope it would be.
And the Westman really is like you can apply the Westman in the morning, put no powder
on and it looks absolutely flawless by the end of the day.
For me and my skin type, I do have combination oily skin and stuff.
And I just, even though my under eyes are actually dry or drier than they're the driest
part of my face, I do find, I guess I'm probably just super expressive and stuff.
I don't know, but I do find my concealer will kind of like move around and wear away if
I don't set it with powder.
So, and I have found that to be consistent with this concealer.
So I don't find this to work well on me without setting my under eyes.
So I will be setting my under eyes as well.
Just an FYI.
I'm going to do the speed through of my makeup up until the brow gels and then, you know,
so on and so forth.
So let's do it.
So we have up until brows on.
And before I finish with like eyes and highlighter and blush and everything, we are going to
set the brows.
So these are her new brow gels.
She has one clear one and four tinted ones.
They are 32 USD and 54 Australian dollars.
So it basically says Feather Fix meticulously separates, lifts and defines each brow with
a clinically proven 24 hour and waterproof formula for freshly groomed brows.
And then it's like a sheer buildable tint for the tinted ones.
So I like to use a tin and then a clear one.
I have really strong brow hairs.
So my review of these are coming from someone who's brow hairs will just go anything.
So this one is the shade light brunette, and this is what the one looks like.
Just amusing.
Like I like that it's a different shaped wand.
It amuses me.
I will be honest.
However, I think I don't know if it's the wand or the product, but I don't love these.
I think if you don't.
OK, so for reference, like my favorite tinted brow gels is like the Urban Decay Bush Brow or like
the Benefit Gimme Brow, the Benefit Tinted Precisely My Brow.
I find that they kind of fluff and thicken my brows, which I really enjoy.
This one definitely tints, but I don't find that it like has that fluffiness to it that
those other brow gels create when I use them, those tinted brow gels, they kind of just like,
yeah, they just fluffen my brows up a little bit.
And I don't find that this one does that.
So if you're not looking for that kind of fluffy effect and you do just want a bit of a tint,
it reminds me a little bit of the Refy like brow tint, you know, the one that's got like
the little toilet brush kind of applicator.
So it reminds me more of that.
So if you're looking for that, like Gimme Brow, Boy Brow Glossier kind of effect,
this isn't for you.
But if you just want a little softer tint, then this might be for you.
I don't hate it.
I just prefer others.
This one is the clear one and it has the exact same applicator and everything.
And this one I do not like because, and again, for reference, my brows are very strong.
So the Refy Clear Brow Sculpt, perfect.
The REM Clear Brow Gel, perfect.
Too Faced Fluff and Laminate Brow Gel, amazing.
They hold my brows like all day.
I love them.
Even the Patritar Laminate Brow, for example, that holds my brows.
This one will look good.
And then by the time I am finished doing my makeup or within the first like 30 minutes,
my brows have already like, it's like, if I want to use this brow gel, I need to like
put this in my handbag to touch up throughout the day if I'm leaving the house because my
brows will already kind of just start looking a bit sad and just naturally falling.
Now, this brow is not playing well with the other today.
So ignore what this looks like.
They look like very, very distant family members and that's okay.
Today, we're just going to deal with that.
So overall, these ones personally, I would really, oh, the Urban Decay Slick Brow, how
could I forget?
Personally, my favorite ones are like those Urban Decay Brow Gels.
I talk about them all the time, run, don't walk.
I think there's other brow gels on the market that are cheaper and better than these personally.
That's just my two little cents.
But if you're a Victoria Beckham lover, you just love the whole experience of it and you
don't find like maybe you don't need as strong of a hold as what I need on the brows, then
you might enjoy them.
So I'm now going to finish the rest of my makeup with a speed through and then I will
come back and give you guys my final thoughts.
All right, my friends, this is the finished look.
What do you guys think?
I actually think this all came together quite lovely if I do say so myself.
Here's my final thoughts, especially on the concealer.
I like it.
I do.
I think it's a lovely concealer.
I think if you are a Victoria Beckham beauty lover, if you love Augustina Spader as well,
and you just think this is overall going to be your vibe, I don't feel like you will be
disappointed.
I do think it is a nice product.
I think it looks lovely on the under eyes.
I think the way that it wears is very, very beautiful.
And honestly, it feels like you're wearing no product at all on the face.
So I do like that.
My cons are that this is very, very expensive for the amount of product you get in it.
So for me, I do recommend the Westman Atelier concealer, even the Chanel Sublimage concealer
over it, because you're getting more value for your dollar.
You're getting more product and they do have more coverage to them than this one.
So if you are looking for a concealer that you can tailor from light to full coverage,
those ones are going to be better suited to you.
If you only need up to a medium coverage, I mean, to be fair, this is a solid, solid
medium coverage, then this might be enough for you.
And especially if you love the format of this and everything, I really do like the way that
it finishes on the eyes.
I really do like the way that it wears, but for the value of it and how much this is,
only you can decide that for yourselves.
In terms of the Posh Farm, I think this one personally, I think it's a skip again, unless
you want the packaging, like it's very, very luxe packaging, absolutely stunning.
And I will say it does hydrate the lips for a very, very long period of time.
It's just notable and it's quite hard to kind of like glide along the lips.
Again, that could just be mine, but that's been my experience.
Again, up to you.
Maybe you just want to try it.
Maybe it's Victoria Beckham is your favorite brand and you love the packaging, the aesthetic
and everything and everything about it.
Then again, the product itself on the lips, it does hydrate.
These brow gels, if you don't have super strong brow hairs like me, and you're not
looking for that fluff and thicked up look with the brow tint, then these might be for
you.
I think they're lovely then, like in that case, if you have really strong brow hairs
like mine and need something to really hold them up, don't get these.
They will not do it.
And if you are looking for a more thick and fluffed up vibe, like the Gimme Brow, for
example, again, don't get these.
You're not going to, it's not going to be your vibe.
So sometimes the reasons why I might not like something is might be the reason why you do.
So, you know, vice versa, that kind of thing.
I will say though, out of all the three, I am really glad that I enjoy the concealer.
I like the concealer, especially because that was such an expensive product.
I can see myself using it up.
I do think it's overall a really lovely concealer.
I do.
All right.
Let me know your thoughts.
Have any of you picked this up yet?
Have you tried it?
What do you think?
Or are you thinking of picking it up?
I'd be really interested to see how you guys are feeling about the Victoria Beckham concealer
as well.
