Lord, how they have in-creased who trou-ble me!
Man-y are ris-ing up a-gainst me.
Man-y are they who say of me,
“There is no help for him in God.”
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glo-ry and the One who lifts up my head.
I cried to the Lord with my voice,
And He heard me from His ho-ly hill.
I laid down and slept,
I a-woke, for the Lord sus-tained me.
I will not be a-fraid of ten thou-sands of peo-ple
Who have set them-selves a-gainst me all a-round.
A-rise, O Lord!
Save me, O my God!
For You have struck all my en-e-mies on the cheek-bone;
Sal-va-tion be-longs to God.
