The TIMBERWOLVES Are Ready to Strike...

So today we begin with the Timberwolves are ready to strike. All right. So today we're going to take a look at the overall Timberwolves roster, which maybe I'm a little bit myopic, but in my opinion, this roster is actually strong enough to get us back to the Western conference finals. Welcome back to the Timberwolves digest as always North America. I'm Dave Debaugh. And I bring you the latest Minnesota Timberwolves news trade reports, trade rumors, and of course a whole, a lot of commentary on today's show. We begin by me asking you a question. Does Ant seriously, does the Ant-Man at this point actually have enough to actually get the Minnesota Timberwolves back to the Western conference finals? Let alone does he have enough to actually, I don't know, let's say cat in the Knicks or back in the NBA finals. Is this roster strong enough to take down the Knicks in an NBA finals matchup? I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are. Drop them in. All right. If you are new to the Timberwolves digest, please go ahead and subscribe. And I always like to say, if you like the pod, well then go ahead and like it. So we're going to take a look at the Timberwolves roster. I also have a quote from the Ant-Man, which we will get into in just a little bit. It was around the Ant-Man hanging out with Jonathan Kaminga for the first time in Minneapolis. We'll get into that in just a sec. But first, how impactful will LaMelo actually be for this Minnesota Timberwolves team? And without sounding like too much of a Timberwolves homer, I do want to say this. I think that LaMelo Ball, if he can stay healthy, is vastly underrated by the media, the national media, and general NBA fans who don't actually pay attention to the day in and day out of the National Basketball Association. I think LaMelo is absolutely, without a doubt, the real deal. If he can play 65 to 70 regular season games for the Timberwolves and be healthy when the season starts, I'm telling you right now, LaMelo Ball is going to put up some absolutely huge numbers for this Timberwolves team. And I'm not so concerned about him scoring 25 points a game. He could score 20 points a game and that'd be fine. It's the assists that I'm looking forward to. I think at times you're going to see LaMelo with double-digit assists in games. Drop your comments in. I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are. All right. So the Ant-Man greets Jonathan Kaminga in the locker room and says the following. You all see what's going on? This blank over, man. Wrap this blank up. This blank over this year, man. So the Ant-Man is feeling confident. And yeah, he was saying that in reference to Jonathan Kaminga being the missing link on the team. But in my opinion, the real missing link on this team is, of course, LaMelo Ball. I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are. We're going to take a look at the rest of the roster in just a bit. So do you all know what actually ruins a great outfit? Well, the answer to that question is an old beat up belt that quite frankly, hasn't fit right in years. That's why I'm super excited today to have Anson Belt and Buckle as the sponsor of today's video. Instead of holes, Anson uses a micro adjustable track system with quarter inch increments so your belt fits perfectly every single time. And I am telling you right now, once you experience that kind of fit and comfort, trust me, you'll never want to go back to wearing a regular belt again. Now I've been wearing mine nonstop since I got it. Honestly, it is the best belt that I've actually ever had. Once you try it, trust me, you'll never go back to your old belts again. And if you're wondering why you should trust them, well, this is a company that's still proudly family owned and operated and has earned over 40,000 five-star reviews like this one from Chad M. They back their belts with a lifetime guarantee on functionality. They stand behind every product they make. And once you get one, you'll see why. And because Anson Belt and Buckle is sponsoring today's video, when you click the link in the description or scan the QR code to build a box set, you'll get two bonus pieces, a buckle and a strap completely free. That's three buckles, three straps, which can be mixed and matched into nine unique belt combos all in one box. It's an exclusive deal you won't get anywhere else. So click the link, build your set and upgrade your belt game today. So I wanted to start off by saying IO is a wing, but he's also a point guard and he's also a two guard. In other words, IO can play three separate positions for this Minnesota Timberwolves team. And the best part about IO is you don't need to start him. He can be the guy coming off the bench. I think with IO on this team, the Timberwolves are a real threat. Now, once again, like LaMelo, we are going to need IO to actually stay healthy throughout the season. But the rest of this roster, Jaden McDaniels, who had a career year last year is showing no signs of slowing down at this point, Rudy Gobert is going to give you what Rudy Gobert gives you. Yesterday, we talked about Rudy Gobert potentially being the most disrespected member in the National Basketball Association. For you older people out there, I compared him to Rodney Dangerfield, Mr. No respect himself. Look at the end of the day, Rudy Gobert is going to give us around 11 or 12 rebounds a night, and you can't walk away from stats like that. Yes, I know Rudy struggles at the free throw line, but that is not going to be a huge concern that I personally have for this Minnesota Timberwolves team. Look, this is a strong roster, top all the way down to the bottom. Love what Bones Highland is going to bring from an energy perspective to this team as well. Ultimately, when we talk about this Minnesota Timberwolves team, and we talk about Jonathan Kaminga being an impact on the team, I think certainly you'll see Kaminga as an important impact for this Timberwolves team. But ultimately, what you're really looking for is more leadership out of Ant-Man, because if Ant-Man leads, this Minnesota Timberwolves team, I'm telling you right now, is going to follow, and I bet they have enough to get back to the Western Conference Finals. Drop in your comments. I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are. Thanks so much for tuning into the Timberwolves Digest. As always, I'm Dave DeBaw wishing you all a tremendous rest of your sports viewing day.
