New ET1 AI Robot Plays TENNIS Against Humans…

ball comes over the net at more than one hundred kilometers per hour, and the humanoid is already moving. Galbot's newest robot, ET1, arrives as the Beijing company pushes from wheeled platforms into full bipedal robotics. It stands about five feet eight inches tall, weighs roughly 143 pounds, and carries around 48 degrees of freedom across its body plus 24 more in its five-fingered hands. In simple terms, that's how many ways it can bend, twist, and brace. NVIDIA's Jetson Thor handles the onboard perception and movement.
The real story is AstraBrain, Galbot's shared artificial intelligence built to carry skills from one robot body into another. Trained on over 100,000 hours of human movement, the AI reacts in under a tenth of a second. At the World Humanoid Robot Games, robots running Galbot's software completed more than one hundred straight autonomous rallies against human players. If a robot never tires mid rally, would you still take the court?
