Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe 2026 Hyundai Palisade is a redesigned SUV featuring expanded dimensions, a \"living room\" themed interior, and a new hybrid AWD powertrain. It emphasizes maximum passenger comfort, increased legroom across all three rows, and advanced onboard technology, positioning itself as a versatile luxury family vehicle with significant upgrades in space and utility.
That is a massive turn signal.
The captain seats on the second row seat.
That's the second row seats folded.
And that is what the car looks like in person.
Hazard light.
High beam.
For the first time, you can easily let yourself in.
There is the seatbelt lighting.
The massage seat.
Warnings about the oncoming traffic.
It's just a door handle.
Oh, you see this rings around the front struts.
Dynamic welcome lights that Hyundai Palisade has.
Something that I missed out on my previous videos.
And there's another design to it right on the top.
There is a lot of work done on the fenders alone.
Welcome to CarSceneKorea.
I introduce newly released Genesis Hyundai and Kia cars.
And as you guys saw from the thumbnail,
I have Palisades right behind me.
And they're all under camo, well covers right now.
I am about to witness the world premiere.
So it's all right here.
Let's go meet the all new Palisade one by one.
There are actually seven Palisades here today in total.
I want to show you everything, not just the color,
but the combination, the seven-seater and nine-seater.
FYI, there is not a six-seater nor eight-seater.
It is only seven-seater with the captain seat
on the second row seat or nine-seater
with three plus three plus three configuration.
It is very highly anticipated and sold out car.
Everybody is waiting for a car and that's me included.
I actually did pre-order the all new Hyundai Palisade
loaded model, hybrid, all-wheel drive or H-track for Hyundai.
So let me tell you the exterior colors first.
So there we go.
There are several colors of Palisades as you can see.
So one on the far right is Galaxy Maroon Pearl.
And yes, that is the one that I signed up for.
That is, I know without looking at it,
it's shimmering silver metallic.
And one on the far left is Ecotronic Gray Pearl to me,
but this is the best view I can give you
with the exterior color.
So the natural lighting up close.
And I think I made a perfect decision
going with the shimmering silver metallic.
Look at that.
It's beautiful color.
And also that DRL too.
I thought it would be the indoor event, the whole thing,
but I guess not.
So hopefully I don't freeze to death.
Finally, this is the first time spotting the car
just so you know, I actually did meet this car
in person twice.
That was not officially debuted just yet.
I wasn't able to show you the whole thing in and out,
but of course I will be sitting inside the driver's seat
and also the shotgun.
So let me show you all about it.
I will come back to the exterior of course,
but definitely I want to zoom in on the interior,
which is the thing that I missed out
on my previous two videos that I've done with the Palisade.
Let's go inside and check it out.
And there are a lot of people around this car,
obviously want to capture this color under the sunlight.
Just so you know, the DRL is actually turned on
as you can see from the flicker.
It is flicker, so it's solid lights to humanize.
It doesn't look like that when seen in person.
And that is the headlights
and one underneath is the high beam.
So this whole thing is the active air flap,
which will open up like that and get tucked inwards.
That design is together with that portion
of the front radiator grill.
And the rest of it, it's just cut wide open.
I keep coming back to the shimmering metallic.
This is the color that I chose and I love this color.
Looking at the car from the 90 degrees,
rear quarter glass is actually enlarged
from the predecessor.
So it is actually bigger than what you think.
And speaking of which, let me also give you the numbers
for this all new Palisade.
The wheelbase is 2,970 millimeters,
which is 70 millimeters longer than the previous model.
Overall length is 5,060 millimeters,
which is longer by 65 millimeters
compared to the predecessor.
So the car is over five meters long.
As for the height, it is 1,805 millimeters,
which is 15 millimeters taller than the predecessor.
So overall, the car is bigger in every single dimension
that you can come up with.
But most importantly, it is that wheelbase,
17 millimeters longer wheelbase.
And that actually does contribute big time
when it comes to the cabin and the interior.
That gets directly translated
into the bigger cabin size inside.
And the second row seats alone
have 17 millimeters longer legroom.
That certainly is an impressive, impressive number.
You will feel all of this
when you actually sit inside the car yourself.
Let's get inside the driver's seat
of 2026 all new Hyundai Palisade.
There are four dots,
Morse code for letter H, of course, H for Hyundai.
We did see this from Hyundai all new Santa Fe.
I'm not sure if it's the identical one,
but I have a good feeling that it is.
It's not a float in the middle.
It is connected.
So three spoke steering wheel, technically,
connected here, here, and one in the middle.
However, the big difference would be
this column type shifter.
Yes, other latest Hyundai cars already got it,
but not this.
Engine start and stop button,
which was first found on Hyundai IONIQ 9.
This is the latest steering wheel,
of course, flagship of Hyundai.
Therefore, it has all the loaded tech
that Hyundai has got to offer.
The interior was designed
with the living room theme in mind.
Designers wanted for you to feel like
that you are inside a living room.
You tell me, do you guys feel that?
I certainly do,
because from this large size car and interior,
it is the space that I've never felt from elsewhere,
at least from ICE, internal combustion engine cars.
I say this because there is the IONIQ 9, right?
Full size SUV, EV SUV, you can get from Hyundai as well.
Keep this in mind,
this living room and also wall height interior.
I mean, I can see all the way to the third row seats.
It is like the infinity right there.
It's all the way far beyond.
I just feel like I am inside an MPV or something.
It is a large size car.
Of course, something that I have felt
from the previous Palisade as well,
but me having Kia Seltos as my daily driver,
this car is behemoth.
There is 12.3 inch monitors left and right,
CCSC, connected car navigation cockpit.
It is to detect your eye movement
and that is probably to meet the safety regulations
around the world.
It is infrared.
It's not visible to human eyes,
so it doesn't bother you at all when driving.
And we are actually used to this infotainment system.
However, this interior is just brand new,
curvatures and curves everywhere.
And this was also one thing that I really wanted to find out
seeing the car for myself.
So that is supposed to be a shelf like Santa Fe, Tucson,
and which was first introduced on Hyundai Casper,
currently only being sold here in Korea,
or AKA Insta for that electrified Casper.
And this comes into a huge play
when you are actually sitting, hopping in on the shotgun
with a lot of stuff in your hand
because everybody carries a smartphone nowadays, right?
Hop in, buckle up and take care of that.
And you can do it by placing it right here.
Wireless smartphone charging pad, as you can see,
fingerprint recognition system
and C-type charging ports.
So I was actually wrong with the last one.
There are actually three of them.
And this being shown right here,
it means it's going to transfer the data.
So you don't have to use the wireless
Android Auto or CarPlay.
Should you wish, you can use the cable connection
and that is 100 watt maximum output,
which is powerful enough to support your laptop inside.
That being said, you can spend your time
inside this vehicle working on your job.
I can even sit inside here and work on my laptop editing.
I will show you that on my long-term distance drives.
And there are two large size cup holders.
And there is also cutouts for you to store other bottles.
I think you can fit medium sized tumbler
on the middle one, the bigger one as well.
The buttons for the windows and the door handles.
It says calligraphy, the design accent
that only calligraphy trims get.
And you can slide the seats using these buttons.
I recently test drove a car without this
and God, it is really practical and helpful.
And this comes into a big play
when you actually do have children,
kids sitting on the second row seat.
And with a push of a button,
you can enable the relaxation mode right there.
You can do all of that with a push of a button.
Just two thumbs up for that.
My wife, Dima, she is going to love this.
I'm pretty sure she will always have the seat
just tilted like this every time she hops in the car.
And that being said, for the first row seats,
there are ErgoMotion seats.
But for the driver's seat,
there is also the lumbar relaxation,
which was not found on previous ErgoMotion seats.
Self-explanatory buttons right here.
You can control the headlights, the trunk.
You can turn on and off the auto stop.
And there is also a tow button.
I really am curious how that is going to work.
It's first time seeing it.
I will test it out on my test drive.
EPB, electronically controlled parking brake,
as well as the VDC and self-explanatory door trim.
You can control all the window-related buttons here.
Self-explanatory and child lock.
Speaking of which,
there is also extra safety added on the second row seat.
ErgoMotion seat button is right here
with two memory seats, as you can see.
Let's operate it.
Turn on the car.
So hit on that button.
Yes, there we go.
So we can go into the pelvic, the waist,
and also the full body.
Same thing as it always has been.
And before I hop out,
there is the auto hold and derive the terrain modes.
And you can see that it's all wheel drive for that matter.
And it's downhill speed assist,
as well as parking-related buttons.
So the buttons that we used to see in the middle
has been relocated here.
It has a good mix of touch buttons,
as well as physical buttons.
Important things, drop-down glove box,
and the shelf is actually hidden right here.
So it's quite practical that way.
So that is the center console with the 12 volt.
And I think you can place a mini-sized purse.
Great job with the lighting there,
so you can see stuff during the nighttime.
And the brakes and accelerators, gigantic foot rest.
And let me show you what's underneath the hood.
I mean, we already all know it's going to be 2.5 turbo model.
The latch is right here.
It's going to pop up just like so.
Underneath, the shimmering silver metallic,
the color that I signed up for, has the engine sitting, wow.
It's sitting all the way at the bottom.
It's actually on my waistline, I would say.
It's sitting super low and it is also, look at that.
That's where the engine is and coming straight out.
It is sitting a bit in front of the wheel,
but closer it is to the center of the wheel
that the engine is, the better performance
in terms of the handling it's going to provide.
However, as we can see, it's really tucked inwards,
just like so.
So therefore, it is much better
than the front wheel driven cars
with the engine motor sitting all the way on the front.
That being said, I have really high hopes
and expectations for the handling of this all new Palisade.
Speaking of which, I did spot another one.
That is, you see this rings around the front struts?
It was actually first introduced on Hyundai Elantra N
and that actually helps big time with the stiffness,
with the suspension setup.
Therefore, it has been used on Hyundai Palisade as well.
We see the wires running around.
That is to utilize the preview road suspension,
which utilizes the cameras and other sensors
inside the vehicle to provide the best ride possible.
And also along with the onboard navigation.
Yes, I know it doesn't suit the culture nowadays,
but seeing this massive engine bay,
just imagine throwing in a large size engine on here.
This is the inline four.
Hyundai, of course, did not forget
about the sound absorber underneath the hood.
And yes, of course, it has the gas lift.
It's not a skewer type flat emblem,
as we have been seeing.
We will see on all of the latest Hyundai cars to come.
And when shut, it's super flush as we can all see.
The design just doesn't stop.
The hood, the bonnet actually sits taller
from the profile, the fender, as you can see.
And the straight lines,
I really like the finish with this fender here too.
Super aggressive.
Just look how pointy this is.
And allowing and providing less blind spot for the Palisade
by having this flag type glass.
Back to the bonnet,
there is more character lines and design to it.
Just look at this strong character line.
Massive hood.
Look at this, beautiful.
By the way, that is the welcome ceremony.
Wow.
It's a bit difficult for me to capture the welcome ceremony
due to the flicker,
but I will include the B-roll
showing different welcome ceremonies,
dynamic welcome lights that Hyundai Palisade has.
Something that I missed out on my previous videos
is that bold design around the wheel arch and the cladding.
This is where the cladding is.
Of course, body color matched.
Premium flagship of SUV.
And there's another design to it right on the top.
There is a lot of work done on the fenders alone.
That design and also this pointy tip that I pointed out,
that is going to cost quite a lot of money and tech
to create the fenders alone.
A bit less of that on darker colors, as you can see.
And let's hop inside the second row seat
of the seven seater all new Palisade.
This is a seven seater by having two plus two plus three,
just so you know.
So there are buttons on the sides,
just like the first row seat.
You can control, although manual,
there is a side curtain, as you can see,
and the LED lighting, the book lights,
the good old door handle and coat hanger.
You know, it's just a door handle.
Oh, it's actually really easy to hold on to.
And I think it's quite ergonomic in a sense.
Coming up here, there is a cup holder,
but also a vertical cutout.
I think you can store smartphones.
And I think that is what precisely
what the designers had in mind.
This is iPhone 16 Pro.
It's not a max size,
but you will be able to fit max
and Galaxy Z Folds here, no problem.
And this is what I wanted to point out
from the first row seat.
Of course, this is the speaker,
but what you see on top here
is warnings about the oncoming traffic.
And to spot it now, there is a handle,
so you can easily let yourself
in and out of the vehicle.
Crazy huge trunk space on the back.
And we can all see that there is the seatbelt clips
and all fully motorized button controls on the trunk,
which I will show you momentarily.
So this is the massage seat.
Says right here, you can go into different modes
and you can control all this.
You hear that?
That's how serious this massage is.
I will check it out on my long-term test drive.
It does make sound and it does get quite loud,
but it's all about the massage
actually being properly working, right?
Also introduced on other cars,
there is the seatbelt lighting,
that way you can easily see it during the nighttime.
It really is very practical and functional.
There is a hump in the middle right here, as you can see,
and 100 watts seat titanium ports on both of the seats,
one here and one right here as well, of course,
the slider buttons that I have shown you earlier.
There is also an extra storage right here.
Not sure if you can access,
so let's see if you can access it from here.
Nope, so it is covered up.
It's not connected, which is possible with some other cars,
the UV sterilization.
You can activate it using that button right here
and as soon as you pop this open,
the UV sterilization system will actually shut off
on its own automatically, so it is 100% safe.
Don't worry about that UV light hitting your eyes.
Of course, ISOFIX is on both of the seats right there
and let me show you the third row seat.
Before I go, a brand new AC vent that we did not see before.
I mean, it's very simple, you know, just push it in,
rotate it to whichever the direction you want to
and you can control all that using this right here,
AC vents controller and look at that,
you have heated and ventilated seats
on the second row seat as well
and there's the heated seats for the third rows even.
I mean, that was already available
on the previous model, right?
Very self-explanatory, it is just a good old graphics
that we know of and I believe that is a speaker or mic,
so that way the drivers on the first row seats
can easily communicate with people in the second row seats
and third row seats.
So that is the lighting for the third row seat,
same thing as far as the AC vents are concerned,
that is the seatbelt for the seat in the middle
and believe it or not,
there's actually quite a lot to show on the third row seat,
so let's go check it out.
And also for the first time,
you can easily let yourself in using that button right there,
watch this and that's because I pushed out the seats
all the way back, right?
Look at that, it moves on its own of course
and gets upright pushed out forward
so I can easily access the third row seat,
which I will do after I put it upright.
So this is where all the buttons are,
you can control, watch this,
I can pull out the seats with a tap of a button
and let's hop inside the third row seats
and I will get back to the trunk momentarily.
It's a bit self-explanatory though, right?
So let's hop inside the third row seat
and just look at this,
it's touching the first row seat actually,
so easily let yourself in,
also do keep in mind that I am an adult
fitting into the third row seat just like this,
when it's upright after it was folded,
it actually stays down like that,
you need to push it in to lock it
and once you do, I am inside the third row seat,
it is fully automatic as well
for the third row seat as well,
I can slide it forward and back,
yes, the beautiful part,
I can also tilt my third row seats,
pushed all the way forward
and this is lean back all the way.
One more thing, there is 100 Watts right here
for the third row seats too
and two cup holders on the third row seat,
not the largest size,
not the largest one that we saw,
lovely touch by Hyundai on that matter,
you can still place your smartphone like this,
the largest quarter size glass
that we have not seen before
and I do also like the fact
that Hyundai did not forget about this,
you can control the height of the seatbelts as well,
pushing up and down,
nothing much is different for the left side,
same thing, heated seats,
so this is what the buttons look like
and when the seat is pushed back,
that's how much leg room that we get,
speaking of which, let me tilt it,
push it out all the way
and try to squeeze in right here
and you can see you got monstrous leg room
on the second row seat,
so I will try to see how that's gonna work out
and the beautiful part is
that I can actually tuck my feet underneath the seat
and this makes a day and night difference
of the third row seat comfort,
if you have been there before,
you guys know what I mean,
it's not the most comfortable seat,
of course, but the important thing is
that I can actually fit,
I got the gigantic quarter glass here,
which actually eliminates a lot of discomfort
that I would actually feel
in a small size leg room like this car
and of course, it's not recommended
that I will travel on a long distance like this,
but if you really do have to fit an adult
on the third row seat,
I just wanted to show you
and demonstrate that it's doable
and this is something I pointed out on my previous video,
that is, we can still get some decent amount of trunk space
with the third row seats upright,
so let's go check it out.
Also wanna show you how I get out,
I could actually make some good use
of the footstep right there, the doorstep,
I think you will make a good use of it
throughout your time together with Palisade.
What the buttons look like,
you can control it two, four, six way,
I believe you can, yeah, you can tilt it up and down
and slide it, so six way control,
you can slide and put the seat back
using that button as well,
so it is the same button,
that one over there that I showed you,
it's all done with a push of a button.
Calligraphy seat, the captain seats
on the second row seat,
let's get back to the trunk,
this is what I mean, everybody.
Again, third row seats upright
and tilted all the way, right?
Well, let me show you,
so you can slide the left seat using this,
so when you need more space from the trunk,
you can push the seat forward
and have that much of space between
the left seat and the right seat,
again, the trunk that we can get
with the third row seats upright,
so when you do so,
you can still fit a small size
on board carry-ons here, no problem,
you can fit your gym bags here, no problem,
so there is no consistent need
of you switching back and forth,
folding the third row seat up and down.
Control the left or right,
slide it, tilt it,
and you can control all the seats
using a push of a button right here,
the hooks for your luggage net
as well as luggage covers
and 12 volt outlet right here,
make a good use of that,
and also when it comes to the hybrid model,
there now is the hybrid specific tech and feature,
there is the hybrid stay mode
and there is also V2L on a hybrid Palisade,
fully automated,
push that button to close the trunk
and lock the car,
and there is also the door handle here too,
just look at that,
two door handles,
one here and one here,
and you can also manually control
the trunk level opening
by moving it physically like I did,
I'm not breaking anything,
just so you know,
press hold for a few seconds,
the trunk is going to get locked on this level,
well, I'll show it to you right now,
so you hear the beep,
next time I open it,
the trunk is only going to pop open on that height,
watch, so close it,
and we will open it again,
the button is here,
oh, it's really carved in the LED license plates,
of course, being the flagship of Hyundai,
and before I do that,
the hidden rear wiper on the rear,
and the upgraded built-in cam too,
which will now also detect motion,
and let's get back to the trunk before I forget,
so you see that,
it does not fully open up now,
compare the two,
that is fully opened,
and that is the level that I just set,
to put it back in,
just push it all the way physically,
and do the same,
press hold for a few seconds,
it's going to make the beep,
and now it's going to open up fully,
like this one did,
and I will show you this interior color momentarily,
the only bright interior,
that you can get on Palisades,
that rear diffuser is actually,
now the inverted design,
of what we see on the third brake light,
flip that upside down,
that's what we see on that diffuser,
bringing out the harmonious exterior design on the rear,
just lovely,
going together with the design that we saw on the front,
beautiful DRL mesh together with the taillights,
and I actually really like the turn signals as well,
and that is the rear reverse lights and reflectors,
it flows and goes together with this Palisade beautifully,
so let me show you,
the turn signals and the hazard lights,
that is the turn signal,
I actually really like that,
I mean it's really thin,
but it's vertical,
so it's visible from everywhere,
wherever you look,
so you can see clearly from the profile view,
you can see it from this angle,
so it's visible from 360 degrees I would say,
and of course there is the turn signal up on the front,
all of that lights lighting up together,
and once again,
it is the flicker issue,
it is more continuous and solid to human eyes,
I see one bright,
one bright blinker right now,
that is a massive turn signals and DRLs,
lovely, lovely.
iPhone will be able to bring out better,
but I do see a bit of flicker even on the iPhone 2.
All right, that's it for today's video,
going over the different exteriors, interiors,
pretty much a lot of or all combinations
that we can come up with,
take my word back,
it's not all of them,
but most of all new Hyundai Palisade,
which one is your favorite?
I mean, that one is for me,
because that one is the one that I ordered.
All right, so that's it for today's video,
going over all new Hyundai Palisade,
I will soon be test driving this car,
so meet me over there,
and also drop in the comment below anything,
everything you guys are curious about.
Quick look at the brown interior,
and I will give you include the precise name
on the screen right now,
and I think it's really matched together beautifully
with this exterior color,
it just feels like it's like a perfect combination
for the exterior color,
and this interior colors, don't you think?
So that's the second row seats folded,
the captive seats folded,
the driver's seat as well,
the seat weight control,
it's the same thing,
but it has a very different vibe to it,
and of course,
the interior color does play a big role
when it comes to the overall sensation of the vehicle.
So which one is your favorite?
I actually like this color a lot,
the video is doing a good job picking up the right color,
it is the outside,
so natural lighting we are seeing,
I would say it's pretty much saying what you see,
the very subtle difference in the lighting,
the color differences does play a big role
when it comes to tan colors,
so do keep that in mind.
And that is what the car looks like in person,
right next to it is Genesis GV70 electrified,
so you get the idea,
I mean, it's not a small size car by any means, right?
The only car that's bigger than this one is GV80,
however, just look at the size differences,
it's massive,
to see for yourself how big,
how large this car is.
Once again, this is just to give you a feeler
of what it looks like in real world,
what you would witness in person,
expect to see this,
I mean, just look at this,
this car running on the streets
with the big DRLs turned on
and also the turn signals, you name it,
this car is gorgeous.
Left turn,
right turn,
hazard light,
high beam,
and without the headlights,
left turn,
right turn,
hazard light,
high beam.
Brake on, brake off,
brake on, brake off,
left turn,
right turn,
emergency light,
lights on,
brake on, brake off,
left turn,
right turn,
emergency light,
