The band Sir Echo gives a tour of their vehicle, \"Big Mama,\" while on tour with Shy Eye and Ally Nicholas. They showcase their living arrangements, travel essentials, and the dynamics of their five-member group as they promote their debut EP, \"To Fly With Flipped Wings,\" released via Equal Vision Records.
This is a cheetah print monster energy hat.
Pretty swag.
If you see us next tour and we have a cooler,
please yell at us.
What's up bus invaders? We're Sir Echo.
We're on tour with Shy Eye and Ally Nicholas
and we just put out our debut EP.
Let's check out our ride.
This is Big Mama.
Alright, and this is where I sit.
My name is Amelia.
This is Jeremy.
He's getting comfy for sleep.
Time to sleep while driving.
We've got a towel here.
We have Starbucks from before.
We have face masks.
These are nice when the AC is really hectic in the car.
We have purified water for humidifiers.
So we went to an Indian grocery store yesterday,
which was really sick,
and I got these chips.
Potato sticks.
Everybody knows and loves potato sticks.
This is where I do the navigating a lot of the time.
We have this, which is nice.
We don't usually have this.
I also wanted to mention,
we used to have a 2008 Town & Country.
Her name was Bessie,
and she didn't live to see the day
that we made it onto Bus Invaders.
So this is for Bessie.
So my name is Jeremy.
I do some of the driving.
We split up the driving between three of the members in the band.
David in the back and Gia also in the back.
Typically, in terms of what we listen to,
we are blessed that this has Sirius XM.
I like cycling through the different channels.
We all listen to all sorts of different genres.
I like listening to Willie's Roadhouse,
that old school country channel.
It's just kind of good.
It's so calming and nice,
and there's a couple of good jazz channels too that I like.
It's where we do all the driving right here.
All right.
Back here, we have Gia and David.
What's up?
Hi.
What's up? I'm David.
I'm Gia.
Well, usually back here,
most of the time,
someone is either sleeping or doom-scrolling.
We've got this pillow here.
Yeah, it's so comfy.
There's not much talking that goes on in the back here.
It depends.
After the show, usually we'll have like a...
A yap session.
Yeah, the first hour is crazy.
And then that second hour of driving is usually just silent.
Everyone's catching up on sleep.
Yeah, pretty much.
Except for you, because this guy is always editing.
Yeah, we're filming every show and recording,
so I'm mixing and editing all the footage for every show
after the show,
which usually if I'm doing that,
I'm all the way in the back cage,
in the back seat.
We're going to do a hat tour.
I don't travel without my hats.
This is a cheetah print Monster Energy hat.
Pretty swag, pretty cool.
Then I have my alternative press,
my alt-press hat.
I never worked for them.
I just found this somewhere,
and I remembered when I used to get alt-press magazines
sent to my house.
Specifically, I was really into the issue
that they did about the band called Creeper,
and I had every single poster that was in that issue
hung up on my wall.
So this is my alt-press hat.
It reminds me of those days.
And this is just like a Fox Racing hat
that I got in Arkansas when we were on tour there,
and I just thought it was sick.
It's my hat tour.
We've got our own AC control back here.
We're living in luxury.
Our old van, Bessie, used to have no AC,
so it's great being able to have AC.
I don't know if we shouted out my mom,
but my mom and my dad let us use this car
for this tour.
We love.
It's got what we need, which is awesome.
Yeah, it's been perfect.
We're living lavishly here.
All right, so in the trunk,
this is where things get interesting
because we have a cooler that is just taking up space.
If you see us next tour and we have a cooler,
please yell at us.
We don't need a ******* cooler.
Don't open the door.
Oh, no.
Everything in here went bad,
and we've yet to find a trash can
that will...
We don't have to talk about that.
Don't look there.
It's okay.
This one is also a cooler
with spoiled food inside of it
that we've yet to deal with.
So, yeah.
Next time, if we have a cooler,
you have permission to yell at us in the comments, okay?
We have a roll of toilet paper.
You never know.
You really can't be too sure
when you will have toilet paper
and when you may not.
Necessity.
In our snack bag is a hookah.
My hookah.
Your hookah.
In our food.
What else is in here?
I think those are snacks.
Again, we haven't touched any of this, really,
the entire tour.
Hey, I've had some of it.
Okay, you guys can snack it.
I haven't been able to get to over here.
This is kind of fun.
This is the Hayley Williams Good Dayoung tea.
It's called Steep My Sunshine.
It's allegedly what she uses backstage.
You want to give it a whiff?
Ooh.
Smell good?
Smells good.
So we have that, like, electrolyte drink
and, like, chia seeds.
Like an ingredient household.
We have ingredients.
No snacks.
We have ingredients.
This is the backpack seat.
And this is good for when, like, David is editing
or, like, someone really wants to sleep for, like, a long time.
It's a good spot.
We're traveling with a fifth person for the first time,
so this worked out really well,
where everybody was able to have, like, a little bit of room.
When we traveled with five people,
we did a small run of shows in Australia in September,
and we were five people in two rows
for, like, 10- to 12-hour drives.
Not complaining.
It was amazing and perfect and beautiful.
But when we were planning this tour,
we were like, it would be awesome
if we could navigate another way to accommodate five people
without being squished for 10- to 12-hours.
So that's where this seat came in really handy,
and obviously we're very thankful to Gia's parents
for letting us borrow their car.
Put miles on it.
I was gonna say, I like to call this seat the nosebleeds.
The nosebleeds.
Because I can't sit...
Well, I sit back here, but when I do,
I never stop talking,
and the people in the front can't hear the person back here,
so I'm pretty much always yelling when I'm back here.
She's screaming.
She's literally screaming from back there.
We're like, Gia, what?
Always screaming.
Thank you so much for watching our bus invaders.
We are called Sir Echo,
and we just put out our debut EP called To Fly With Flipped Wings
out on Equal Vision Records,
and we're so excited that you came along for the ride.
Thanks for being here.
