GBI investigating police shooting in Rome

Police in Rome have shot a man at a gas station and convenience store located on South Broad Street near Etowah Terrace. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been called in to investigate the officer-involved shooting. A nearby elementary school was briefly placed on lockdown, though all students and staff are reported safe.
