Daisy discusses her harrowing journey through addiction, homelessness, and her current path toward recovery and professional rebirth. She emphasizes the importance of resilience, the support of true friends, and her determination to build a stable future through music, fashion, and new media projects.
Daisy, great to see you.
Hi, how are you?
I'm doing great.
I know.
I know it was really brave of you to kind of open up on, like, social media about, like,
you know, experiencing, like, homelessness and stuff like that.
I mean, how are you doing now?
I know a lot of your fans are curious.
Yeah.
Um, that was actually embarrassing, yes.
And, um, it was very...
Things are actually perfect right now because they're not.
But, um, I don't ever want to get back into that situation.
And I'm, um, I'm fighting every day, actually, to try to make sure that I don't get back
into that situation, to be honest with you, because it's very scary.
And, um, I'm so grateful right now, today, to hopefully be striving to get out of that.
Um, I'm working as hard as I can.
Uh, you know, right now I'm, I'm, I'm, uh, here doing some great stuff.
And I've just launched, um, a clothing line with the forum.
I have some good people helping me.
Some regular jobs.
Uh, I have some music coming out.
Uh, some music that is out right now that you can, it's on, uh, you know, Spotify, um,
we're all, uh, you know, you can find all, on all streaming platforms.
And, um, I'm in school still, so that, which is, you know, feels like it's another earning journey.
I know. So what made you, like, open up about this?
I know a lot of, like, reality stars and celebrities, like, they don't really open up about things like that.
And so what made you kind of open up and, you know, share with the world?
I didn't really feel like it was, like, something I really opened up about.
It was just, like, something that just sort of people just found out about.
Um, because I have, you know, suffer from addiction.
And I was in a situation where my addiction got very bad.
And I was being evicted.
And some really good friends of mine helped me.
Um, you know, I'm very close friends with Corey Feldman.
He's, like, my best friend.
He's been my best friend for, like, almost, you know, 18 years now.
Wow.
And I love him to death.
And he saved my life.
I was, you know, living in Las Vegas where, you know, I'm currently doing a reality show out there right now.
It's, uh, um, with some good friends.
And I was living there.
And he picked me up and, you know, helped me save my dog, took my dog in.
And I ended up in Oceanside getting recovery.
And I've been clean now since February 29th, 2024.
And, you know, he didn't really, you know, he just got my stuff, got my dog, and put me back in California.
And I just spent all that time since 2024 just recovering.
But as a result, I lost everything.
I lost my relationship.
I lost my apartment.
I had to fix school.
And I was homeless, like, legitimately homeless.
And I spent all the time in shelters.
I was assaulted.
I unfortunately, you know, was assaulted.
And I, um, I'm not happy and proud of myself for what happened.
But I'm so grateful that I, um, have recovered.
And I'm here today.
And my journey is still, um, in recovery.
But I'm so grateful to be not on drugs.
And I really just, you know, again, it's not that I, like, you know, was like, hey everybody.
I'm, you know, it's just a part of, I guess, whatever it is, being me.
It just happened to be that people found out, I suppose.
And I'm just, you know, grateful to be alive.
Because I almost, you know, could have died.
I was down to 70 pounds.
Um, I just am so grateful that people care about me.
Just want, you know, that's part of my, um, gymnastics line.
It stands for Rock Recovery and Resilience.
And I'm so grateful to my band and to the people out there that care about me.
My own family didn't even care about me.
And this isn't a sad, sad story.
I'm just grateful that I can have a second chance to be here alive now.
I'm not saying, like, oh, this is like a comeback or whatever.
I know what this is.
I'm just grateful to God every single day of my life.
Um, to be able to, um, say, like, please do not do drugs.
I was so scared.
And, again, I'm so grateful to my friends and my family.
Like, my family as far as, like, my family being my friends.
Um, they came and saved my life.
And I pray every day to God to say thank you.
Because that's all I can do anymore.
I know.
I mean, have any of your, like, former castmates reached out?
I know you have, like, a lot of old nostalgic type of fans.
Greg Michaels, anything?
No, and that's okay.
You know, those are people that I've worked with.
I wish them the best.
Um, I don't, I didn't expect those people to do that.
I've made new friends.
I've made new people.
I don't have any, like, ill will.
I wasn't really close to those people.
You do a job and you move on.
And that's all that was.
I have new adventures now, hopefully.
And that's what I aspire to do.
I, you know, that was, like, what, like, 15 years ago.
And that's okay.
I don't have any ill will towards those people.
I've made new, um, you know, friendships.
And, you know, people that I really love and care about since then.
And genuinely care about those people.
Care about people.
Like I said, Corey Feldman has been a really big supporter of mine.
He's, he is my family.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, that man has saved my life.
And as far as those people who I had worked with in the past,
I don't know them, to be honest with you.
I don't.
And I don't have any bad or good.
I wish them well.
But those, and I do, you know, the girls from those shows,
like, I'm a fan of, like, Farrah from Love.
I love her.
She is a great girl.
Frenchie, love her.
Those are some people that I like.
Lacey, she's a cool girl.
But those are, like, you know, some acquaintances.
But as far as, like, you know, some of the people that you might think,
you know, I do wish them well.
But they're not, you know.
That was a show.
Right.
So.
Yeah, totally get you.
I know, last question, I mean, what, I mean,
what do you want people to understand about your situation?
And also, like, I mean, what are you working on currently now?
Because a lot of people have offered you, you know, jobs and stuff.
And that's pretty cool, you know.
It is cool.
And a couple of things, like, first of all, my situation, it was legit.
I was just two weeks ago or so, I was on Skid Row downtown.
That is a scary, scary, scary place.
It's a horrible place to be.
There, I feel for those people down there.
I ran out of there and did everything that I could possibly do to get out of there.
It was very scary.
I'm so grateful to have, you know, my lucky ducks in a row.
I hope to God never to be in that situation again.
I prayed to God to be, you know, and I'm so grateful to have second chances.
I was offered a job in Las Vegas.
That was a lie.
Oh.
That was a lie.
What?
I went down there to, and when you have opportunities and you say,
God, help me, and people can give you some opportunity, you take them.
You go to every avenue and you say, yes, ma'am, yes, sir.
And I did that because that's the way that I was taught and brought up.
That was a lie.
I don't use it like that.
That's not okay.
And that is something that happens often to people who are in my position.
And I was raised to do all that you can do, to pull yourself up by the bootstraps
and do for yourself.
When you ask God, you know, when you're in a position, God helps those who help themselves.
I'm a firm believer in that, and that's what I was trying to do,
but I don't like being used like that.
It's not okay.
It hurts me.
I'm a human.
I have feelings.
I can't.
I'm not perfect.
I make mistakes, you know, but I'm a person who has real feelings
and who goes through hardships, and I don't like that.
I'm trying to do the best that I can.
I want people to understand that, and I'm working on following my dreams
and doing my passions, and I'm not trying to hurt others.
And I'm working with people to, you know, I'm in Las Vegas,
and I have a show that I'm doing now.
Some people are afraid.
For me, I know what that's about.
It's good to hear that you're doing good things.
I'm doing the best I can, and I'm working on music.
I'm here now filming a little project.
I'm excited about it.
We're excited about it.
Do you want to tell us about it a little bit, or is it something?
I can only tell you that it's something that is incorporating a lot of other reality people.
Very cool.
I'm very excited.
I'm thankful for you guys to come here.
Yay.
And see what's going on.
I have music that I'm very excited about.
I have a song out called Pillbox.
People seem to be excited about it.
I'm releasing another single September 14th, and I have some new merch out.
You can go to the 4th Wall.
And I'm just thankful, you guys.
Thank you so much.
You look great.
We're so happy for you.
Thank you.
