U of M police increase safety patrols

University of Minnesota Police are increasing patrols and implementing new safety measures, including 911 kiosks and classroom lockdown buttons, following a series of shootings in the Dinkytown area. While students report feeling generally safe, some expressed anxiety about walking at night. Additionally, Minneapolis police are investigating a separate non-fatal shooting near Target Field.
