the Giants. And some of you are probably thinking, what is he talking about? I am not talking about
the San Francisco Giants. I am talking about the San Jose Giants of Low A. Now, of course,
the Big League Giants did not make the playoffs, are really nowhere near the playoffs, but the
minor leagues has been the most exciting part of this organization for basically the entirety of
the 2026 campaign. With how bad the Big League Club has been in terms of winning, in terms of
production, the minor leagues has been extremely intriguing to follow throughout the year. And this
is the best the farm system has looked in 10, 15 years. It's been a very long time since the farm
system has been loaded like it currently is. Now, for those that may not know, Jackson Flora has
officially debuted. His first debut against the Fresno Grizzlies came last week, but he had his
in the San Jose Giants post-season series. It was game two of the playoffs against the Stockton
Ports, the affiliate of the Oakland or I should say Sacramento athletics. But Jackson Flora looked
much, much better than his debut outing. Not to say his debut was bad. He just didn't have the
slider, didn't have some of his off-speed stuff. And last night he was nasty for San Jose. Here's
from Justice De Los Santos, who was there in person. Here's a shortcut of Jackson Flora
go on Twitter and check out the video. But his line, two innings pitched, zero hits,
zero runs, zero earned runs, two walks, four strikeouts. Now the first inning was a little
shaky. He had the two walks in the first inning, but man, that second inning was just a glimpse of
what we could see from the future of Jackson Flora. He struck out the side in that second
inning, which ended up being his last inning of the night. And for those that may be wondering,
why is he only throwing two innings? I thought he was going to be a starter. Well, the Giants
are just kind of, you know, giving him some time to get into professional baseball, just a preview
of what it might be like next season. Now, I'd guess he opens the year next year in Eugene of
high A and then, you know, hopefully he moves quickly, but the Giants aren't trying to extend
him. They aren't trying to get him deep into games. They're not trying to build him up because
he threw a lot in college baseball this past year, over a hundred innings. So they're just
trying to give him a glimpse, excuse me, of what professional baseball is like. So that next year,
when he starts the year in Eugene or maybe back in San Jose, that he's a little bit used to what's
going on and how things are going. Now, moving forward about the offense, this is a little bit
of a glimpse of some of the better performers of yesterday's win against the Ports. Of course,
the top name, Josuar Gonzalez, he was a little bit of a quiet night for him in terms of production,
just one for four. You're used to seeing two to three hits a night for him, but that one hit was
an important one. It was the first hitter of the game, the first pitch of the game. He lined one
into left field, into the left field corner, actually got on second and then scored later
which was the first run of the game. And the Giants needed it. It wasn't a big blowout game.
It was three to one, so they needed every run they got. And Josuar did lead to that one. Now,
Junior Barajas, otherwise known as Rod Barajas Jr. was two for four with a double as well. And Drew
Smith, a guy who I'm sure not a lot of people are making note of in the minor leagues because
he was a 15th round draft pick, not the super high pick in the draft process, but he's looked great
since making his professional debut last week in Fresno. He was two for four with a double and three
RBIs. He looks ready. I mean, yes, it's low weight and he performed in some really big college
baseball environments at the University of Oregon. He's actually one of the better producing third
basemen in college baseball over the last few seasons, but really nice to see a 15th round pick
come in and start producing immediately for the San Jose Giants. Of course, we talked about Jackson
Floor and then Ricardo Estrada came in and was great for San Jose. Four innings, one run, no
walks, three strikeouts. So a really good game all around for San Jose. We're used to seeing them
blow out teams across the season. They've been pretty much the best team in the California League
the whole time, but they have looked especially good in recent weeks. Here's a cool little picture.
They obviously, they won the second game, which it was a three game series. They won the first. So
they are moving on to the championship series against, I believe the Lake Elstner Storm,
which is the low weight affiliate of the San Diego Padres. So that'd be fun to watch
over the next few days, but really exciting time for this minor league team. This team is
absolutely stacked. So getting a little bit broader of a conversation, these are the Giants
top 100 prospects. And at the top three, you will see the three biggest names in this organization,
prospect-wise. You see Josuar Gonzalez, who is probably going to be a top 10 prospect in baseball
within the next few months. You see Luis Hernandez, a 17 year old who has looked not necessarily
overwhelmed, but there's been some adjustment at low weight and he's also dealing with an injury
right now. And then Jackson Floor, the fourth overall pick in this most recent draft, the
top ranked pitching prospect. He's looked really good in his first three innings. You see three
very intriguing prospects. And so this picture went out a few days ago, which I had to throw up
on Twitter and I did pretty well, 57,000 views, but pretty sweet flip flick of the San Francisco
Giants top three prospects together. That was from Shelly Valenzuela of the San Jose Giants.
I believe she's their team photographer, but this picture should get a lot of Giants fans
extremely excited about what the future can look like. Obviously I talked about the three
Josuar Gonzalez, who's 17th in baseball right now, prospect-wise, again, probably going to be a top
five to 10 prospect within the next half year. Luis Hernandez, a 17 year old wonder can coming
from Venezuela, who I believe 346 in the Venezuelan major league. So coming over and already
showing some really fun glimpses, a stateside professional baseball, and then Jackson Floor,
the savior of this rotation, you could call him because outside of Logan Webb, the starting
rotation of the big league club is looking extremely shaky. And next year, there aren't
a ton of fixes there. So if he can move quickly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jackson floor in
the big leagues in the backend of the 2027 campaign. If there is a 2027 campaign, but
again, this is by far the most exciting. This farm system has been in a very, very long time.
And in a season where it's going to be a forgettable one for the big league club,
the Giants are well under 500. They're going to be close to a 100 loss team. Even though I think
they'll avoid that triple digit number in the loss column, but either way, it's going to be a
forgettable year. It's going to be one of the worst losing seasons in the club's history since
moving to San Francisco. But the bright side in the middle of that is the fact that this farm
system looks like a top three to five farm system in baseball. I believe baseball America has them
for, I believe I'm going to be pipeline has them fifth. So by both accounts, a top five system in
the sport. And that is something that we have not seen a lot with San Francisco over the last
decade. They've been for the most part in the bottom half of baseball and the bottom third of
baseball in terms of farm systems, in terms of prospect talent. So it's really refreshing to
see this happen. And I know buster Posey, Larry bear, Greg Johnson, all these guys that are higher
ups with the Giants are not going to say, Hey, we're going into a rebuild. We're going to trust
the process and let these young guys develop. But it does seem like there's a little sense
around the organization that, Hey, we're going to hold off on spending some big money now after the
the Devers and let these guys develop, let them come up. And then you have Devers Eldridge in the
middle of a lineup and you let these guys come up in the middle of the lineup as well. It could be a
very fun team to watch in two, three, four years in San Francisco by the bay. That's going to do
it for today's video. If you enjoyed go down below, hit that like button, hit that subscribe
button. Again, there's two of the easiest ways to help support the channel and let me know in
the comments, your favorite prospect in this organization. If it's not one of the big three,
let me know someone else, Johnny level, Gavin Keelan, Bo Davidson. There are a ton of fun
names in this system. Let me know your favorite down in the comment section below as always.
Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you next time.
