Hello and welcome to my channel.
In this video, I wanna share with you some items,
some trends that I have currently in my closet
as I was going through my clothes the other day
that I'm just not feeling right now.
I just, they just kinda need to go.
And some of them, there's nothing really wrong
with any of them, but I just feel like
there's other things I wanna wear
that make me feel more modern and stylish
and honestly just get me a little more excited.
There's a few of these pieces
that have been on trend for a while.
And to be honest, I just don't feel
very excited by them anymore,
and so I'm putting them away.
But my goal is always to give us more outfit ideas
and also if you're looking at your clothes for fall
and you're like, just feeling kinda bored with them,
maybe there's an item you can swap out
that will make the rest of your clothes feel alive again.
So that's kinda what I'm doing here.
So anyway, I hope you get some inspiration
out of this video and let's get started.
One trend, I don't even know if it's really a trend anymore,
but it's just a look and I have had no problems with it
in the seasons past and even over the summer,
I was fine with it.
But I just feel this fall,
I'm really gravitating away from this
and it's the frayed hem jeans.
I was going through my jeans the other day
and I'm like, I don't wanna wear these.
I don't want anything with a frayed hem.
What I'm wearing instead is just jeans
that have absolutely no distressing.
That doesn't mean that at some point
I might find a pair of jeans
that has something really strategic.
But, so there's no telling what I'll see in the future,
but a basic frayed hem, just not into that look anymore.
I want something clean and polished
and that's just what I'm really into right now.
Now, I wish I could just narrow down
my favorite pair of jeans to one or something,
but I'm really loving a lot of the jeans this year.
I did list some in my denim trends video as well,
but I just really love that clean finish.
Okay, here's one that, it's not really a shock to me
that I feel this way,
but I have forever been a belt person.
I don't think I've ever not been a belt person.
And I think it's because belts,
I do have kind of a long torso,
so it kind of helps break me up a little bit
and sometimes define my waist.
So, I've just always been a belt person, I love belts.
And I had a period of time, probably in 2024, 2025,
where I really loved just the very basic, thin, slim belt.
And now I look at them and I'm like, that is boring.
It's so boring, I don't want that.
I want fancy and fun.
I just, the slim, basic belt does nothing for me now.
I don't know, I'm being so aggressive about it,
but I just look at it and I'm like, why?
I just, what is it doing for my outfit?
It's doing nothing.
There's just so many fun and interesting belts out there
that it's really, I just don't want the basic, slim ones.
I will, of course, go back to them.
I'm not getting rid of those at all
because eventually I'll get tired of bold and everything.
And so, I will like those.
But even with this outfit right here,
I definitely could have done just a basic, thin,
slim, black belt, but I like this fun belt buckle.
It's just more fun.
It's just suede.
It just feels more fun to me.
And so, I love belts.
I'm gonna lean into this belt trend that's going on.
There's so many fun, fancy belts out there right now.
Madewell is a really good one to go to
with nice leather belts.
I've been loving the animal print belts.
I just think they add so much to an outfit,
especially because a lot of my outfits are like solids
and some more basics and things like that.
So, I think it's fun to add kind of a statement belt
to them to make it more interesting.
I have two leather miniskirts
that I have worn a lot in past years.
And I wore them in the fall and winter,
like I'd wear them with tights.
And I just have not wanted to wear them at all
in the last, I mean, at least the last year, if not more.
I do like a miniskirt in the summertime,
but I just, for the fall and winter,
I just, I'm not feeling it.
But what I'm liking better right now is,
A, I'm actually really liking the tailored Bermuda short.
I know that's not the same thing as a leather mini,
but in terms of like a shorter length,
like fall option, I'm kind of liking that.
And then I'm also liking these knee length skirts.
You know, knee length has been a really big trend this year.
They feel a little bit more modern
and they just feel like something different,
something that I haven't worn in a very, very long time,
like maybe ever.
So for me, it feels fun to just experiment
with some new styles.
Speaking of things I left behind in my thirties,
it's wild to me how ways of living
and things I did in my thirties and that worked in my thirties
absolutely do not work for me now in my mid forties.
The last few years, I've been on a mission
to feel the best I can in the body that I have now.
And one of the major things that helped me
with this low level anxiety,
I started experiencing a lot of brain fog was HRT,
which was prescribed to me by a clinician at Midi Health.
And Midi Health is our sponsor for this video.
You've definitely heard me talk about them before
because they have helped me so much in my midlife.
Now, if you're a woman around my age or older
and you're experiencing changes in perimenopause
or menopause or unexplained weight gain,
brain fog, mood swings,
then I'm very excited to share with you
what Midi Health has to offer.
So Midi Health is a virtual care clinic
on a mission to bring compassionate,
high quality medical care and science-backed solutions
to women covered by most insurances.
Now, when you get started with a Midi Health clinician,
they first find out your background,
your health history, your goals, your symptoms,
and then they will create a personalized plan for you
based on what you need.
Now, the other thing about Midi Health that I love
is that it's so easy to schedule a visit.
You just schedule with them online.
And then whenever it's time for your visit,
you log onto your visit, you're there, she's there,
you talk about all your symptoms
and anything you're experiencing and you don't feel rushed.
And in between appointments,
you can message them in their portal.
Now, I've been very happy with Midi Health.
It's one of the biggest things
that's made a difference in my life in my mid 40s.
And I wanna make sure every woman knows
that there is support out there for you during midlife.
Now, if you'd like to schedule a visit with Midi,
I will leave their information
in the description box below and let's continue.
Okay, this one may come as a shock,
but I've realized I'm just kind of not feeling
my classic trench coat right now.
That doesn't mean that I'm getting rid of it.
Absolutely not.
It's a very, you know, it's a classic.
And I know I'll be back to it at some point,
but I'm just kind of tired of it.
I think because the variations of trench coats
are just feel more exciting right now.
I love my crop barn jackets.
These are so cute.
And I just love, I know this is not really trench,
but I just like all these other jackets so much better
that it's, I just don't even,
it's been a while since I've really wanted
to grab my long trench.
Now, if I was going somewhere where I needed to dress up
and be very fancy and I needed a light jacket,
then of course I'm gonna go grab that.
But for my day-to-day, I just,
it's going in my upstairs closet.
I've just not really been feeling it lately.
Okay, well, it is pouring raining outside now.
Can you see it from the back?
It came out of nowhere, actually.
And our thunderstorms are crazy in here.
Like, I'm sometimes a little scared.
I'm just like, eh, we are safe.
Here's one.
It might surprise you if you've watched my channel
for a while, but this is an item I have worn to death.
But it's my gray oversized blazer.
I've worn this blazer a lot as kind of a contrast
to a casual outfit.
Like, I love pairing it with just, like,
a basic jeans outfit and throw on a blazer.
I just love that look and I have done that look so much.
I think I've had this blazer for three years
and I have, that's, I mean, I've really enjoyed wearing it
in that capacity and I've brought it with me on trips,
you know, for whenever I just need to look
a little bit dressier or something.
It's been great and I'm definitely not getting rid of this,
but I'm just not reaching for it right now
or I'm just not feeling it right now
because there's so many other jackets and outerwear pieces
that I am just loving right now.
And I just feel like unless I specifically need
a gray blazer, I like these other jackets
a little bit better for right now.
It's making me feel more stylish.
Like, I love these funnel neck jackets.
This jacket is so cute and it's lightweight.
I can definitely wear this into, like, a Florida fall.
And I have this houndstooth bomber jacket from last year
that I got so many compliments on,
but I've already worn this a lot,
just kind of in that same scenario,
like something to put over a basic outfit,
just kind of dress it up a little bit.
And then even when it does come to blazers,
I'm liking this look of this cinched waist.
Like it's, you know, kind of strong shoulders, cinched waist.
So, you know, I'm just putting this blazer away for a while.
I just think there's a lot of fun outerwear right now,
just so much more than in previous years.
So I just want to try something new.
By the way, if you want some outfit ideas for fall,
I have put together,
I need to create a different name for this,
but a shoppable, a shoppable PDF.
And so basically it's exactly how it sounds.
It's several pages of outfits
that are very easy to put together.
You probably have a lot of these already in your closet,
but just a little like cheat sheet
to put together outfits for the fall.
And then also on every page is a link.
If you need any of these items, you click the one link,
it will link you to all the items that are featured here
and different alternatives,
some different price ranges.
So I thought this would be helpful for fall,
for like a cheat sheet for getting dressed.
Make sure to check that out.
If it interests you, it's free.
I will leave a link for it to the description box
and let's continue.
This one is actually,
it's a little, it's kind of not in style.
They're not dreadfully out of style,
but it's definitely not in style anymore.
And it was like a hard stop,
but the denim maxi skirt,
which I know a lot of you guys hate it anyway, so.
But the denim maxi skirt was big for,
I don't know, three or four years or something.
And then there was somehow like a hard stop
and you just didn't see them anymore.
I have still worn my denim maxi skirts quite a bit.
I haven't worn them lately,
especially not in the hot summer,
but I have really just,
that was, I was really rocking the denim maxi skirt
for a while.
And I don't not like them anymore,
but I'm just not feeling them anymore.
Maybe because I did go pretty hard in 2021, 2022, 2023,
maybe 2024, somewhere around there.
It was like three years
I really was rocking the denim maxi skirt.
And so I'm just kind of like,
I'm not feeling it right now.
And I think it's because I am feeling,
I love all these like cool denim,
all this maximalist denim that's out.
And so it's kind of like the shiny new toy,
the shiny new object.
And I had a good run with these denim maxi skirts,
but I'm just not feeling them right now.
So a couple of them I'm actually donating,
but I do have one.
I bought this one in 2020 and I still like this one a lot.
I wore it, this is an outfit I wore a few months ago
to a concert and I'm wearing a leather jacket.
So it must've been still spring or something,
sometime whenever it was like a little bit cool at night
and I could wear a leather jacket.
So I still like this one for some reason.
I think maybe because it has a front split
and it doesn't feel so heavy.
I'm assuming that's what it is
because I still really like this one.
I'm keeping this one.
And the funny thing is I've had this one the longest,
but as far as trends go,
this is definitely one that I just,
I kind of not really feeling anymore.
This next one is a boot that I do love.
Definitely not getting rid of it
because these are very comfortable
and I had a really good run with these,
but I'm just not feeling them right now.
Just not into them this year.
And I for sure, I know all of these things,
I know at some point I'll be back.
I'll be breaking these out again,
but it's these combat boots.
And these have been literally all over the world.
I have brought these all over the world
because they were so comfortable.
I could walk in them a lot.
They're just really great,
but I am not feeling them right now.
I'm really not feeling like the laces
on boots right now at all.
And I know that's specific to a combat boot, I think.
But I'm really loving the more sleek look.
Maybe a little bit of embellishment here and there,
but not necessarily the very masculine combat boot.
I have a pair of low heel boots
that I just got for this year
that I am so excited to wear.
They're so perfect with all of my jeans.
They just have a little bit of a heel,
but they're very comfortable.
I will link these, actually,
because if you need a boot like that, these are great.
Okay, this one, I know you guys will,
doesn't matter what I say, you'll be angry at me,
but so I'll try to be articulate.
But the denim jacket, let's sit here for a second.
The denim jacket, as far as classic denim jacket goes,
the very tight fitted, usually like a three-fourth sleeve,
just really tight ones we wore in 2010 and 2015,
that has been, it's been dated for a while.
And honestly, I never thought they were comfortable either.
I just, you know, they seem very uncomfortable
because you couldn't really do this.
And then we got really into
the oversized boyfriend denim jackets,
like the trucker style.
That's been the really big trend for denim jackets
for the last several years.
And I love this, and I loved it.
And right now, again,
there's so much fun outerwear styles right now.
It just feels, it feels very boring to me.
So I am putting my classic oversized blue denim jacket away.
I just like so many other casual jackets so much better.
And of course, this is another one
that is definitely still on trend.
It's not out of style or anything like that,
that oversized loose fit denim jacket.
I'm just personally,
just, I just like so many of these other jackets
so much better right now.
And then another jacket
that you might come for me in the comments about.
It's classic, okay?
It is extremely classic.
And I don't know, I love classics.
I always will, and I, you know,
there's lots of classes I still very much love.
But this is one of those other classics
that I'm just tired of,
and I just don't have any interest in right now.
But it's the classic leather moto jacket.
I have worn these quite a bit in my life,
and I love them,
but I'm just not feeling them right now.
Even in the leather jacket world,
I love the leather jackets
that are more like a bomber style.
I have one from Quince from last year.
It's a leather bomber that I wore so much,
and I actually wore this in wintertime
because I live in Florida.
You know, it's not like I need light crazy.
So this was my winter jacket last year,
this leather bomber by Quince.
It's still available, I'll link it.
But it is, it's just so cute,
and I like it so much better right now
than these classic leather moto jackets.
So I'm just leaning into all this maximalism, I guess,
especially in the outerwear.
I just, I think I particularly love outerwear
because I love so much basics and classics,
and so the outerwear piece can be like my trend piece
or something more interesting.
And so I like that I can just add these to my outfit
or add them to my wardrobe
without having to change up my whole closet.
It's unfortunate I live in Florida
and can't wear outerwear, you know, all year round.
But this is one.
I'm not gonna get rid of it,
but I'm wondering if I will eventually.
I don't know, but I'm not getting rid of it.
But the, I have a Gucci Marmont bag,
and I've loved it for a long time,
but I just don't, I'm putting this one away.
I'm storing it.
It's not even gonna be where my main purses are anymore
because I'm just very much, I'm just not into it.
Just not into it, and I still love the bag.
I think it's a beautiful bag,
but I just, I like so many other bags so much better.
So it's going away.
I'm not against luxury bags,
and in fact, I still love like Loewe bags and Bottega bags.
There's certain ones I just think are so beautiful.
I still love this YSL large tote.
I haven't brought myself to get it,
but I just think it's so pretty.
There's still designer bags that I really love.
Do you guys wanna see like a designer
luxury handbag trend video?
And I would also include like the, you know,
not luxury styles,
because I might do one of those this fall.
Because it'll be fun to look at.
I really love this bag right here
by Madewell.
I'm loving the woven look.
I just like that texture.
And I know Madewell makes really nice bags,
and they're not very expensive.
I might actually get this one and try it out for fall.
It has some beautiful colors too.
And I have this other bag,
and this East West is a really big bag trend.
It's been a really big trend,
but it's still a very big trend for fall.
And I've loved this one by Fabrique.
It's so beautiful, so well made.
I get so many compliments on this bag.
It is just, it's kind of been my go-to bag
for the last, I don't know, I guess few months.
Love the color.
It's this deep dark brownish burgundy.
It's just so pretty.
It goes with everything.
So again, I'm not against luxury bags.
I'm not against logos and stuff like that.
I just personally am not feeling this one right now.
Gonna be put away for a while.
Now it's funny.
I can definitely hear some people saying,
because I know there's a lot of you guys out there
who you only buy clothes you know you can keep
for 10, 15 years until they fall apart.
And I love that.
And I definitely have a lot of my clothes in my closet
that I still wear, you know, pretty much every season.
But there's always gonna be some items
that for me personally, every few years,
I'm just like, hmm, I think I wanna do something else.
I just wanna put this away.
And then there's of course some
that pretty much stand the test of time for me.
One of them is the loose fit, oversized,
relaxed button downs.
Not tired of that.
I've been into that since, I guess also 2019, 2018.
Still going very strong for me.
The wide leg jean, I started that one and never looked back.
I still love that one.
Linen trousers, I wish they were still available,
but I love them so much.
I wear them, I don't know, once a week for every summer.
There are a lot of things that are still very constant
in my closet, but these are just the particular items
that I have just decided that kind of need
to take a back seat.
So what did you think?
Are there any items in this video
that you've also been looking at and thinking,
just, I'm not feeling you right now.
I would love to know.
I do think it's important to get clothes out of your closet
that are just not making you feel
like you wanna get dressed.
And I personally have a hard time just,
oh, I don't like it, let's get rid of it immediately.
I just, I have a hard time doing that
because sometimes I do come back to things.
So I, for the most part, I have,
I put stuff in my upstairs guest bedroom closet.
And so I'll put it up there,
and then I usually come back to it a couple seasons later.
Well, usually every time I get to that season,
I'll kind of reassess what I have for the season.
And my closet in my bedroom is so tiny,
I have to, I can't fit everything in there.
That's why I haven't shown anybody
because it's so ridiculously small
that every time I try to put a camera in there,
it's like, it just does not work.
So anyway, I do have to edit my clothes often
and change what's in there and that kind of thing.
But anyway, I do have a hard time
just like getting rid of stuff.
So I do have to keep it for a while
until I'm absolutely sure I don't want it anymore.
And all of these things, I do feel like I will come back to,
or like, say, the blazer.
There might be an event where I do wanna wear a blazer,
like specifically a blazer,
and I might bust it out for that or something like that.
But for the most part, there's just other things
that are kind of more exciting to me.
And if you're not excited to get dressed,
it's just not fun, you know?
I like to be excited to put on an outfit
and get dressed and show up and be my best self.
So I hope you got some inspiration out of this video.
I will, of course, anything I'm wearing,
if it's available, I will link it somewhere,
here, there, everywhere.
Let me know what you think.
Make sure to check out Midi Health in the description box
if that's something that interests you,
