AI GeneratedThis review examines the \"Slavic Bow\" by Sajdag Archery, featuring innovative \"Graal\" technology. By wrapping a laminated core in a fiberglass webbing sleeve, the bow achieves superior durability, weather resistance, and safety against delamination. It is presented as a reliable, high-quality tool particularly suited for horse archery and beginners due to its robust construction.
Greetings all you beautiful people in the arches out there. Today we talk about these two bows I
received from Sajdag Archery in Poland. They make something very interesting. They make a laminated
bow and then they wrap it with some kind of like a sleeve in fiberglass webbing something.
Looks very interesting. Let's talk about it. First of all I got two bows. They're base model
with no grip and everything and this is the premium model then with painted here ends and
whipping and whipping and really nice leather hand grip and a little racekin arrow pass.
You have your logo on it. You get a nice hoodie with it. Even this one. Even this one got a hoodie
with it. So nice one here. I think for the rest it's almost the same bow. Yeah looks like it's
the same. But this one is as I said the entry level low poundage lightweight arrows whatever
what have you. The bows with the string in another bag was then a nice bow sleeve out of a nice
material here with the logo on it and hit your target. And another keychain something with the
name archerysajdag.com. This is then the website. You can check it out. It's interesting. So this
technology they call Graal. G R A A L. Let me tell you. First off when you get the bow they send
you a pdf with all the information. I can show you and scroll it down on the side. So I stand
sideways and you can see it here with all the information about the bows and how to take care
and everything. And then I printed out this one. So this is called the Slavic Bow. Traditional
hybrid design. Model made with G R A A L technology. So and then this is this one here.
And the base price is 420 euros. Shipping cost depending on your country. Specifications you
can have it from 20 to 45 pounds. Measured 28 inches on the back of the bow like I do.
Knock to knock length is 144.5 centimeters or 57 inches. Distance from bow string to the riser
brace height is 18 and a half to 20 or 7.3 to 8 inches. So you have your little wiggle room. This
is nice. The total length of the bow with the string is 140 centimeters or 55 inches. The max
draw length is 31 inches. And the arrow weight recommended is 9 to 11 grain per pound. So let's
say 10 grain and minimum is 7 grain which is very interesting. So you could shoot quite lightweight
arrows with the bow string is spectra 134 centimeters or 53 inches. Then you can have
this bow a second bow string cost 17 euros. The leather handle black leather on the handle and
arrow pass is 35 euros. And the paint on the end is 15 euros. You can have a decorative
linen wrapper standard color black other colors available. I don't know what that means but
this is the information on this paper. Stick with me I'm not done. They gave me
a very big confirmation just for me for my information. So it's the this it's so the
package contains two Slavic bows and accessories. Both bows are made using the Graal technology
which means glass reinforcement around all layers. From the following materials wood fiber
glass and carbon fiber technology protects the bow from delamination increases the limbs
torsional stiffness improves weather resistance and allows for the repair of previously damaged
bows. And as already a few videos of them they show a completely broken up delaminated bow
and they fix it with their technology and afterwards you can shoot it again.
So quite interesting. This is the type one with arrow pass and leather handle everything a key
chain in the random color and the bow 2. This is the bow 2 is a prototype designed for training
and recreational use. We include it in the package to demonstrate the bows construction
and this Graal technology. It has no finish or decoration but you still can shoot it.
It differs slightly from the standard model in some details. It's slightly slower
with the same throw weight and has a slightly higher brace height and a smaller grip.
Thanks to these features primarily offers protection against delamination during careless use.
I would not say careless use but if you think about the horse archers how dangerous it would
be you fall from your horse or something happens and this boat delaminates or breaks on you while
you ride. This one is almost impossible to break I guess. So I think it's an interesting
way to go if you really need some good performing but protected laminated bow.
Offers protection skid lamination as said especially by beginners it works very well
with lightweight arrows. So you can shoot lightweight arrows with it. You don't have
this problem of dry firing and enjoy we will see. Hope you have fun. I hope so too.
Thank you very much especially Christoph and Anna from Seydag archery. There's handmade
equipment and everything. Nice. Not done yet. Then I got an envelope with a nice of course it has
made really nice everything and here I got let me see certificate of authenticity with a wax
seal on it. So quite impressive. It's the draw weight is 31 pounds. You see that
max was 31 and then bracelet and everything I told you before already. Nice and sometimes you
need more hands and a nice thank you card. Archery is more than a passion it's a life-saving craft.
If you like the effect you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram and ever.
Instructions for using the bow and then here you can download this whole pdf if you want to.
Dry firing without an arrow should not do. And this is the grail technology explained.
I don't want to read it but you can check on the website everything. So they are really
prepared quite well and I think today we focus on one bow.
On the type one which they sell which is not a prototype. So this one
pretty. You see it has here a black layer then two other layers I guess.
Hard to say what is all inside. Looks like there's a fiberglass layer inside
and outside wood and then it's covered with this fiberglass material. I like this I like
even the texture of it. It's really cool. Then you have here your string holder. Nice.
Me likey. Oh there's something written. I can't read. There's something written.
But it's good that they make it decent so you can still use it for your historical
whatever where nothing is allowed to be written there. So it's very decent. Very nice. Looking
good. Let's see if I can figure out what that means. It's the bow number 16 and this is Slavic.
Okay the 16th bow. You see this black layer runs nice on the tip. For me personally I would say
these tips are a little too wide. They're wider than my finger but they do it for what they think
is right. So string is nice. Looking good. Whipping is nice. Everything. I mean you see that they
have an idea of crafting. So look at this. It says torsion. It's really stiff here.
So the length and everything you know already. What is left to do is not much.
We need to turn it on first and zero it. 23. 22 millimeters. 22 millimeters error pass and this is
this nice you know where they have the the end of the leather put it inside so you have kind of like
really indicator where to put the arrow and on the bottom the same. So you really I guess
always grab this bow in the same way and this handle is nice and beefy. See my fingers just
nice around it. That's all. Whipping I guess is an decoration because if this methodology method
works you don't need the whipping because you have already completely
reinforced the whole bow around all layers. Of course there's criticism. They say that this
mesh is too flexible. It will not prevent any cracking. On the other side I'm not sure yet. So
you know if you would put here as he said the barboacher said it's it's maybe too flexible
that it would really act as a reinforcement but you know time will tell. We will see. I don't know.
First time I see this material and it's not the first time I string this bow. It looks the same
length. Lightweight. I said just the sealers are for me a little bit too thick. Thin they are nicely
they are nice shaped here and you have your guide for your string. That's all fine. But here I think
I remember back in the days I did a video of a Hungarian bow who had a very thin handle but
seals like this and I asked the company and they said yeah you know in Hungary they
they start beating each other so they need to make the seals a little more stiff. I said okay.
Never shy of excuses I guess. Let's see how this bow will string.
Nice one. Exactly. So that was easy. I think I put the string wrong of course.
I'll show you how the stringing is. Let me see something here.
So for this one you need quite a wide stand here. But the bow feels good. So safe. Everything nice.
Doesn't twist or anything.
Look at you.
Nice. Pretty cool.
Not much going on here.
Nice looking. Good. The Slavic bow. I think I need to shoot Slavic bow.
I'm not going to do that obviously.
See what the bracelet will say. We are at seven and three quarters.
Seven point something to eight inches. So it's just fine. This bow looks good. This direction
extremely stiff. Stiff. Stiff. And here gets flexible. So only at the end it gets flexible.
Here is relatively stiff. Look at this one here. Handle feels good.
Tastes directly from the beginning here. There's not much slack. So draw curve for now.
Come here. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Actually it's not bad.
For a not that heavy sear and long sear bow.
Okay. 29, 30, 31. Yeah and then you see the searing angle is already beyond. But until then
sound is good. Don't skip my video. My last video is I think 20 minutes and the average watch time
is five minutes. So 370 grams. That's fine for a nice reinforced bow.
So minor. And I think you shoot a few times. So first I shoot heavy arrows. So it's 31 pounds at
28. I'm not sure if I put it on the tiller. And we get not 38 maybe at 31. So these arrows are way
too heavy. 420 grain. But you know we always start slow. Until here is nice. And it gets stiff. Even
heavy arrows fly nicely with it. So it kicks heavy arrows nice away. So if you need to shoot heavy
arrows this bow will work for you. Everything in an unspectacular matter. I feel a little bit in
the hand. Let's shoot 300 grain. They would be now 38 pounds. And you know yourself a little on the
lower end. Same. So hand jock doesn't get more. And I'm paying attention that I put the old feather
You see it's nice. You really have a little kind of like an arrow rest here. So
you really can protect your thumb if you just knock a little too low. So it's nice.
Silent.
A bit. You feel it a bit. So the bow has a little bit of hand jock.
But now he comes back really. But I can live with it. So one time the heavy ones. This time we shoot
the ball on the top. And by the way if you want one of these balls or this cube down there or
this backstop which is new too. Fuxluck.de in Bavaria. He has a lot of them on sale.
He wants to get rid of them. So check out his website. Or this one down there. This
cube to throw. This bow gives you this feeling of safety.
I should use an anchor point maybe. String is a little bitey.
But you get there. So a few shots. You know what the bow is doing.
There's not much going on in case of vibration. You have a little boom in the hand.
You have a nice arrow press. Which is still not scratch. Because I did a bit of khatra today.
Sorry excuse my bad Arabic language. Khatra. I did khatra a bit. Because as we know straight
arrow flight has nothing to do with the spine. It still does. But of course if you have the
technique right every arrow will fly straight. Still doesn't matter that you take away too weak
shaft for the poundage of your bow in my opinion. These are 600 spine. Now the bow opens up a bit.
Now I did release bad. You just need to have a good release with the bare thumb.
It's always challenging. If you shoot Slavic most probably it's easier.
Of course it's quite a Slavic bow.
Okay I leave this to the pros.
Nice so even the lightweight arrows can shoot everything with this bow.
See you feel it a bit in the hand. Even if there is quite a cushion around. So you feel it a little
bit. Let's find zero. 28 is here. 36, 37 pounds. In my way of measuring. I measure from the front.
30 inches here.
40.2 isn't it? 31 gets stiff. You feel it. The last inch is a little stiff. 42 but it's still
fine. Let me check 28 again. Yeah 35, 36 pounds. I'm not sure if I read it wrong or something. So
it's 35 pounds I guess. A bit more than 35 how I pull it. And 41, 42 at full draw. Fine by me.
All its prettiness. Just don't look at the background. So the bow at 28. It's 30.
31. Looking good. Could almost bend here a little bit more but
what little do I. I'm not a bow builder so. With 420 grain which is a little bit more than 10. So
we have full draw at 42 pounds. So it's 10 grain. 173. Hold it. 168.
172 with 10 grain. There I think 300 grain. So we are a little under.
42 pounds 300 grain. Do the math. 191. But still doesn't feel like dry firing. 175. That was not
full draw. So the last inch is a little stiff. 198. So you get 200 foot per second of this one
in a safe way. Because it even if it would crack it cannot because it's
hold together. Interesting.
I think it's really a good option for horse archers. So you have the safety of you know
even if you fall or fall on your bow. This bow is not breaking and killing you. And with shallow hook
the Ming ring. Works nice. With one of my favorite leather protections. The shoot in aid from
my friend in America. Mark Roberts. Can shoot shallow hook too with this leather thumb ring.
Oh yes. So heavy arrows. 10 grain. Feel good. And you still have 170, 175 or maybe
So the bow. Open up now a bit. Draws nice.
Nice. So straight arrow flight is mostly a release. And spine and heart. I would not
say one without the other. So you need a good release. A good technique. But shoulders down
back tension for this. If you release or your shoulders are collapsing it's not going to work.
But we know that all and you all made my courses so you know everything already. Everything is fine.
Okay four meters. Center shot. Eight meters. Almost center shot. 15 meters. Easy going.
Where you point the arrow goes. Easy to operate. Easy to string. Easy to unstring.
Can't say anything negative. You feel it a little in the hand but as long as you stick with 10 grain
roughly it's not that noticeable. I don't have. I think they have 400. I don't have now nine grain
or something which would be nice. But you see that the 31 inches. I draw now again that you see how
this arrow is 32 and a half inches until here. Then the bow gets stiff. So how long was it? I
this is what I would draw this bow comfortably. But now with the light arrows you really feel it.
That's why we have a little heavier ones. 420 grain and the Taurus are still
one of the best arrows you can get. Center shot. It's a good bow. It's really a good one. It's
interesting. So with this one you know I had several bows exploding in my face from
companies and when I get the bow from them I'm always a little
you know when it happens to you you get a little cautious. With this one I have no problem.
Just nice 420. I draw again as long as I really feel comfortable. Still works. So if you're
a horse archer you know whatever here to your shoulder. I know what length you need.
Gets you covered. It's not too long but it's I think it's fast enough. Even with heavy arrows
you see 10 grains no problem. 170 foot per second. But it's a durable bow. So with this one I have
this ease of mind that no matter what you do with it it's not going to break that quick.
Now last time we had the issue with heat. Not sure how this one would hold up when the glue
inside gets a little soft. But it's still like a tight bandage outside and I'm not sure if this
is flexing. There needs to be some kind of movement but it's always from strand to strand I guess.
Nice. So back there it takes time of course but until then draw is really really nice.
Handle is nice and beefy. Nice bow 420 euros. I think it's fine. It's not the fastest in the world
but as I said with the lightweight arrows you get 200 foot per second if you want to.
And this bow doesn't mind. You feel it in the hand but the bow will not break on you. And that's
an easy thing. It's still not dry firing yet. Doesn't even feel like dry firing with this
lightweight arrows. Nice. You know how about when you're one of these ones here.
Nice. Center shot. So even three fingers. Interesting. I have to do one more Slavic of
course. Then you need to rearrange your brain because with three fingers you shoot way to the
left and with Slavic way to the right obviously. Not even. So this bow checks all the boxes for me.
I don't know how long you have to wait when they make them. For me it's just the sear here
could be a little thinner because this is just weight you don't need I think. And it doesn't
do anything for stability I guess. So you have you could really think carfields and this one is just
too massive. But on the other side it's a safe thing when you're on horse. You know you don't
have to worry that you injure someone with a pointy tip like we have with other bows.
The knock groove is very deep so here you have a lot of material. You know some other
bowiers they make it just like this. And it's enough so you could shave off here three four
millimeters for sure. And it will still work properly with the rounded tip. But that's me.
Don't want to interfere with any bow builder. Handle is nice made. The whippings are nice made.
So they really like to craft bows. You can see that it's their passion. And I'm happy that they
do it. And I hope that some of you find this interesting and check out on the website what
they have to offer. Next video will be then the basic prototype thingy they sent to me.
Really nice. It's fun to shoot this if I have 31 inch arrows. So with the crown lock.
And it's just a nice shooter. A really nice shooter with tang grain. Totally no problem.
There is a little bit here.
But it's not more here than here or the other way around. It's just a little vibration. You can't do
a lot. You could put some silencers on it. Then you most probably could get rid of this. But
I don't care. This is a durable thing. I think even in humid conditions.
Because it's completely covered. I don't know which glue they use when or the melting point
or when it's changed. We had it with 60 degrees or something. I don't know how hot this bow could
get before it starts softening. Here the glue for this dry thing. But the future will tell.
I think it's a good bow. Of course I would be curious now to see when you reach the limit
with this material. So if somebody would make now a nice short curvy Scythian bow. And then
laminate it. And then you can make exaggerated curves. And then put this Kral technology on it.
You should be safe from breaking or something.
It could be an interesting one. So maybe you consider Christoph making a Scythian design bow.
Nice. A really nice to shoot. You don't want to stop shooting this bow. It's precise.
Just need to control your bow as usual. And have a clean release and back tension. And
you follow these steps. You get a reliable bow. Nothing more to say.
So thank you Christoph and Anna. Christoph I hope it's right. Christoph. Christoph
and Anna for sending this bow to me. I really like what you are doing. I think
this is an important part. And time will tell. If they last. If they do what they say.
I think so. So I don't think that this is kind of like stretching material. But I don't know.
So Christoph needs to know. They surely did tests with exaggerated rolls and stuff like this. I
don't want to break this one. Nice and interesting for sure. So go check it out. I'll leave the link
to their website in the description. And I'll leave the link to the targets on sale from Voxloop
in the description. Go check it all out. I'll leave the link to my online courses in the description.
Go check them out. Nice. Thanks for sending it to me. And that's all I have for you today.
Thank you very much for watching. And I'll catch you in the next one.
