AI GeneratedThe speaker reviews a variety of new fall makeup launches from Sephora, evaluating complexion products, blushes, eyeshadows, and lip colors. The review focuses on formula performance across different skin types and climates, distinguishing between high-performance luxury items and those that may be too heavy or niche for the average consumer.
If your feed looks anything like mine right now,
you are being absolutely bombarded with new fall makeup.
And somehow, every single launch is supposedly
the next thing we need from Sephora.
And listen, I get it, it's fall,
everything is new and shiny,
and suddenly I wanna add everything
on the Sephora new arrivals page to my cart.
But before you do that,
I've been buying and testing
all of the hottest new fall makeup
so that we can cut through the hype
and figure out what is actually worth your money.
Today, we are going through
the biggest new fall launches at Sephora.
And as is tradition, I'm giving you the truth
on what is Sophia approved and what you can skip.
Let's get into it.
Okay, and let's kick things off
with some complexion launches for this fall,
starting off with the highly anticipated
Westmin Atelier Liquid Foundation,
specifically the Supreme Bio Complex Liquid Foundation.
I was really excited to try this because typically,
I mean, I love Westmin Atelier as a brand in general,
but typically their makeup,
it does tend to be very dry skin friendly
and also very mature skin friendly.
Listen, friends, I'm getting older.
I need all the help I can get.
I have very dry skin.
This foundation has a lot of claims.
I'm gonna read you a couple of the details here.
It says that it is weightless, medium coverage,
blurs and smooth with a natural hydrated finish.
This is also very skincare infused, of course,
and the price definitely reflects that.
It says it's encapsulated with exosome technology
for precise delivery.
Our peptide loaded Supreme Skin Bio Complex
jumpstart skin renewal, smooth, brightens and firms
for visible results in just four weeks.
It also says there are no silicones
and it glides on like a serum.
That is a lot.
I cannot tell you how good this is gonna make my skin look
after I use it for a couple of months.
So I'm gonna sort of put the skincare part aside
and you guys can research that for yourself.
We are talking, after I tried this for over a week straight,
I put this through some rigorous testing, my friends,
in the East Coast humidity, here in the drier Texas heat.
Let me tell you, I tested this baby
and I can't necessarily agree with all the claims
that it says.
I do think that this is sort of medium coverage.
I don't think that this feels like a serum.
This actually feels a little bit on the thicker side to me.
One of the issues that I have with this,
or not issues, but it's just something
that I don't really prefer,
is that you do have to kind of like work this into the skin.
It's not particularly runny,
like a Chanel Le Beige foundation, for example,
where you can kind of sheer it out,
you can paint it on in layers.
One pump of this foundation dispenses very little.
And I feel like that is a suggestion,
like that's by design, I think,
because a little goes a long way.
I usually do one pump on half of my face
and I really try and work it into the skin and sheer it out.
And when I do that, I do think it looks beautiful.
I do think it blurs.
I do think it gives kind of like
a satiny second skin effect,
but I don't particularly love how much
I need to work it into the skin.
I just like foundations that are a little bit thinner
that I can kind of build up into layers
or something that is more like a soft mat
and then I can kind of sheer it out if I need to
with a little bit of moisturizer.
It definitely makes the skin look hydrated
and it definitely leaves my skin looking hydrated all day.
I think this is going to be a foundation
that some of you guys are going to want to powder.
I didn't really think that I needed to
after I put like my powder bronzer and blush
and all of that on my face,
but I remember I was testing this product
on one of my Wednesday night live streams
and somebody commented that my face looks super greasy.
And for sure, when you first put it on,
if you have lights shining on your face,
it's gonna look really moisturized,
but I do think it kind of dries down.
However, if you do tend to get oily throughout the day,
I think this is going to be something
that you want to powder.
I'll show you the wear test right here.
I feel like this foundation,
it wears beautifully on the skin.
I really think it looks great after, you know,
a full day of me being out and about.
I went traveling with this foundation
and yeah, I think it looks really beautiful on the skin.
I think it wears really beautifully.
Is it my absolute favorite having an entire collection
of like the best luxury foundations
that are out on the market?
Most of which, by the way, are not sold at Sephora.
No, it's not my favorite.
I just don't love the consistency of this.
Again, I like something that I can kind of paint on
in layers or that is very easy to sheer out.
And you know, it's probably
because there's no silicones in this,
which typically give a formula,
a lot of like slip, glide, satiny texture.
I think that's why this isn't my favorite.
I don't like this as much
as my like beloved Clé de Peau foundations.
I don't like this as much
as the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation.
That's just my personal preference.
So I do think a lot of you guys are going to like this
and I've gotten some great feedback
from my subscriber community.
But for me, this just isn't like an absolute
hit it out of the park, top shelf type of product.
I would personally go probably outside Sephora
to look for a luxury foundation
if you're willing to spend this price
for something that is truly, truly top shelf.
I will link down below.
I have an entire complexion masterclass video
where I talk about not only some
of my favorite luxury beauty foundations,
but also concealers, the best of the best powders,
how I like to prep my skin for complexion.
So if you're really interested,
if you want to up your complexion game
and maybe add some new products to your wishlist,
definitely check out that video.
I'm going to link it down below.
And actually while we're here,
I'm going to link all of the products
that I talk about in this video.
Any of the shades that I use
in the description box down below,
I put a full shopping guide together for you.
If you're watching me from your living room,
you're going to see this QR code pop up
throughout the video that you can scan
if you want to shop along with me today.
And I try my best to link as many products
as I can on the YouTube shopping buttons on the screen.
Thank you so much to all of you guys
for supporting my channel by shopping through my links.
Next up, we got another complexion product.
This is the new Charlotte Tilbury Loose Powder.
I was very excited to try this.
I've been on a loose powder tirade this year,
just comparing all of the best ones on the market
and really finding what suits my very, very dry skin.
And this particular powder,
this is a pretty simple formula ingredients wise.
It focuses a lot on smoothing, blurring, and oil control.
Something that I've noticed about this is that
it does tend to be a bit more full coverage
than some of the other more expensive ones
that I have in my collection.
It definitely blurs, it definitely smooths,
and it definitely controls the oil.
Like it does exactly what it says on the tin.
However, just again,
just having tried a lot of other luxury,
more expensive powders that are on the market,
I do find this to be a bit too heavy on my skin.
I feel like this powder,
it is better suited to somebody who is number one,
probably younger than me,
or number two, has more oily skin,
because I just felt like
no matter how little I put on my face,
it just looked a little bit too heavy.
And in fact, I decided to do a side-by-side comparison
with the Sisley powder.
This is one of my absolute favorites.
It's very similar to the Clé de Peau
and the La Prairie here on my channel.
These are all very high-end powders.
Up against the Sisley loose powder,
I mean, there is no comparison, friends.
I know the Sisley is so, so expensive,
but when it comes to a loose powder,
if you have dry or mature skin,
it's one of those products you just gotta get it right.
You just gotta get it right,
because if you use something that is too heavy
or too drying, I don't know about you,
I turn into a mummy.
I look so dry and crusty.
It is like the worst thing
that I could be adding to my face.
And when I put the Sisley on the other half of my face,
it is so much lighter weight.
And if you take a look at the ingredients,
you'll notice it's a much more complex formulation.
There's a lot more hydrating ingredients.
There's a lot more emollients in there.
It's so lightweight and kind of blurring and perfecting.
It looks like I have a filter on my face.
The Charlotte Tilbury isn't a bad powder.
It's just not the right style of powder for me.
So if you have oilier skin
or if you're a little bit on the younger side
and you want more of that like full beat type of look,
I think it's one of the best loose powders at Sephora.
If you want something that is more lightweight,
that is more affordable than the Sisley
that you can find at Sephora,
what I would use is the Laura Mercier Ultra Blur,
specifically the Ultra Blur Loose Powder.
I'll make sure I link the specific one down below
because she has so many loose powders
at Sephora at this point.
That one is excellent.
And then the lightest weight one
that I've ever tried is the Suede Loose Powder.
So those are the two more affordable ones
that I would recommend
if you're looking for something really lightweight
that isn't too heavy, dry skin approved,
Sophia approved, mature skin friendly.
I have one more complexion product for you in this video,
the Marc Jacobs Concealer.
I've been testing this for quite a bit.
This is described as being medium coverage and hydrating,
which I definitely would agree with.
This has a very satiny, serum-y like texture,
kind of similar to the Kosas Concealer, the RMS Concealer.
If you're familiar with those, it's a serum concealer,
which I actually really liked.
So I was very excited to try this out
for something that feels so serum-y,
hydrating and lightweight.
This actually like surprisingly does a lot.
I wasn't expecting this to be brightening at all,
but I actually do notice a very clear brightening effect.
So if you have gnarly dark circles like me,
I think you're really going to like this.
Also, this has a lot of humectants
and niacinamide is also really, really high on the list.
Unlike a lot of other products at Sephora
where they kind of just like toss it in
and then put it in the title for SEO purposes.
It also has a lot of silicones
for kind of like a smoothing and blurring effect.
You get a lot of slip from this.
It is serum-y, but it's kind of like a serum satin,
if that makes sense.
You get a little bit more blurring,
a little bit more of like a slippy cushioned feel.
There is also a pretty strong film former in this concealer.
So it doesn't dry down to the point of looking matte
or dry on the under eyes,
but it does self-set quite a bit
to the point where I don't really feel
like I need to powder this that much.
If you find that it creases,
then you might want to add a little bit of powder.
Again, I would recommend something
like the Suede Loose Powder because it's so light.
It's perfect for under the eyes and adds even more blurring
than what you're going to get from this concealer.
This is a really, really nice concealer.
I also really love the brush applicator.
It sounds silly, I know it's kind of gimmicky,
but it's like perfectly shaped.
It's shaped like a doe foot, but it's a brush.
And it just feels so nice when you paint it
on your under eyes.
It's way better than the Dior Backstage Concealer
that I hate so much.
That one is like a pointy brush.
I feel like I'm stabbing my under eye
or like Chanel, their serum concealer,
it has kind of like a plasticky tip.
No, this is actually nice.
Like I actually really, really love the brush tip.
I have no idea why the opening of the tube is so wide.
Like that's really weird.
When you're using this, make sure you open it like this
because if you open it like this,
like all of the product is just going to be spilling out.
So from a design perspective, like the component is nice,
but I have no idea why they made it so wide.
Overall, I think this is a really nice concealer.
How does it compare up against other similar bestsellers
at Sephora?
Well, if you take the Kosas Concealer as an example,
the Kosas Concealer, it's a little bit more brightening
and it has more of a hydrated type of look.
This is more of a true serum concealer.
If you have really dry under eyes
and you really like those ultra hydrating serum concealers,
like the Kosas or the RMS,
I would probably stick with those.
What Marc Jacobs have done
is that they've taken that style of concealer
and they've given it a little bit more
of like a satin finish.
So it's not so serum-y.
If you feel like those concealers,
they're just like a little bit too skincare-y
and you want them to set down more,
then I would go for the Marc Jacobs.
I feel like they did a good job giving us something
that is quite popular,
but in a slightly different way
that gives more of a kind of more finished look
because it does set down.
And by the way, if you're enjoying this video,
please don't forget to give me a big thumbs up.
It really helps me out.
And if you are new here,
maybe consider subscribing to my channel.
My name is Sophia and I upload new videos
just like this every single week,
all about mid-range beauty and style.
Here on this channel, we like nice things.
We like to be bougie,
but we don't have unlimited luxury budgets
and we like to buy what is truly worth it.
So I buy these products and I test them
so that you don't have to.
And I only recommend the very best
of the best of my subscribers
that makes us feel luxurious every single day.
I love shopping at Sephora.
I love reviewing new makeup here on my channel.
In addition to mid-range handbags and styles,
if that is your jam,
hit the subscribe button to join our fam.
We seriously would love to have you.
Next up, we have the highly anticipated
YSL Beauty Cream Blushes.
Will I find a YSL blush that I like?
You guys know I famously don't really like
the powder blushes
and people constantly ask me about them.
I don't really like the powder blushes,
at least, especially the matte ones.
I do not like.
I think they are dry and patchy.
So when I saw these cream ones,
I was like, hmm, YSL,
could I give you another chance?
Should I slide into your DMs?
Should we see if I like the cream version of these blushes?
So I got two.
I got the shades Hot Mauve and Taupey Temptation.
I absolutely love these shades.
Hot Mauve is, it's a nude with a bit
of a kind of like rosy mauvey undertone.
This one's really good for every day.
And then Taupey Temptation is a total Sophia shade.
This is more of a brown,
which I think is really great
if you want that like latte makeup look,
you know, like the brown makeup look
that I really like to do in the fall.
Taupey Temptation is perfect for that.
These are going to give definitely
a hydrated look to the skin.
They are very much a traditional cream blush.
These are not like the cream to powder cushion blushes
that have been coming out left and right
from every single brand.
No, this is a traditional cream blush.
Now they're not going to be as dewy
as like the Dior cream blush sticks.
Like those are very, very dewy and they kind of sheer out.
These are decently pigmented.
You can build up the color.
While they do give that hydrated look,
I don't feel like they're sticky.
You know, like I did long wear tests
with these in humid New Jersey and Boston weather.
And I didn't think about it.
Like if I had my hair down,
like I wasn't thinking about my blush being sticky
or my hair didn't get stuck in my cheeks.
I feel like they set down, but just be warned,
it's not going to be like a cream to powder.
These are very much cream blushes.
And I actually was really impressed
with the wear time on these.
I'll show you guys a little wear test right here.
You know, I wore this blush all day
and I felt like by the end of the day, it was still there.
I feel like for a cream blush,
for this type of formula, wears very, very well.
And by the way, I want to just show you
the slight difference in the packaging
between the powder blushes and the cream blushes.
The cream blushes have a silver tone to them,
whereas the powder ones have gold.
And then the quilting on the cream blushes,
it's like a patent leather.
I know some people, they said they thought
that like the packaging was cheapened.
It's actually exactly the same.
It's just a different finish,
but perhaps to some people that like shiny faux leather
looks a little bit cheap, but I don't know.
I just want to let you guys know
the packaging is exactly the same.
It's just a different color and finish.
How do these compare up against
some of the other cream blushes at Sephora?
Well, most notably, I would say these definitely
have more of like a dewier finish
compared to the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks blushes.
We're talking about something that is another luxury brand
that's essentially the same price.
Those I find, they don't have as much of a sheen.
They're very, very creamy.
If I had to choose between them,
I think I would choose the Westman Atelier.
I just think that they have a broader range of shades,
broader range of neutral tones.
I think they're a little bit more user-friendly as well.
I like these ones from YSL, but if I had to choose,
I would buy the Westman Atelier.
If you want something like the YSL,
but at a more affordable price point,
I would actually check out the Marc Jacobs,
what are they called?
The Joystick.
Those look very similar.
The formula is very similar, but it's in a stick formula.
I know those colors, they tend to be pretty bright,
but they have a fairly wide range.
So if you want something similar,
but you don't wanna pay the egregious price
for the YSL ones,
I would definitely check out the ones
from Marc Jacobs Beauty.
Next up, we have a powder blush release.
These are the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush
Flawless Blush Blur.
Everything is blurring nowadays, friends.
That is the key word.
That is the buzzword.
We are blurred into oblivion.
But the question is,
are we getting that from these new Charlotte Tilbury blushes?
If you guys remember,
she had what a lot of people called the nipple blushes
that have been around for years
that have kind of like the little halo around
and then another shade in the center
and you do the little like swish and pop
and she had a whole thing about it.
Those blushes were beautiful
and I thought it would be fun to take a look at
what is the difference between the old ones
and the new ones.
So I actually bought the Pillow Talk shade.
Pillow Talk, of course, darlings.
And then I compared it up against the old Pillow Talk shade
from the old formula.
The first thing that I will say, friends,
is that the new ones are talc-free.
So maybe that's one of the big reasons
why she decided to reformulate these.
Also, you know, blush is a really big category right now.
I will say right off the bat that the shades are different.
I like both of the shades,
but the new Pillow Talk definitely has a lighter tone to it.
I'm wearing the new Pillow Talk on my cheeks today.
It's definitely a little bit lighter in tone.
I also find that the newer ones,
it's not that they're less pigmented,
but I think that they're a little bit more buildable,
if that makes sense.
The biggest difference that I noticed,
and you'll see this in the swatch comparison,
the old blushes, they're not as finely milled.
They have more of like a thicker,
I don't wanna say chunky,
because it's not that they were chunky or bad,
but it's a less finely milled, more glittery texture to them.
Whereas the new Pillow Talk, it is like finely milled.
It's much more refined looking.
It gives more of this like lit from within glow.
It looks much more luxurious.
I much prefer this new formulation.
I 100% think that these are blurring.
I think they're absolutely beautiful.
In fact, I also picked up the shade
Summer of Lovegasm.
This is definitely a Sophia shade.
In fact, I actually put a little bit of that
on the tops of my cheeks.
So it's why I'm flushing a little bit extra
in this video today.
This is the matte formulation.
You might not be able to tell on camera,
but like when you shine this up to direct sunlight,
you will see a bunch of like micro particles,
light reflection particles.
So it does have a matte finish.
It's not that it's glowy,
but it has all of this light reflection.
And that's where you get the blurring filter type of look
on the cheeks.
So I find that they're all very blurring,
but some of them have more of that radiant finish
and some of them have a matte finish
and it does distinguish between them on the Sephora website.
So just keep that in mind
when you're deciding which one to get.
But both formulations, very silky,
much more finely milled, more refined,
more ethereal, more luxurious.
These are definitely Sophia approved.
And I like the new packaging better as well.
Okay, let's talk about some eyeshadow palettes
that just dropped.
Up first is the new Hong Van Goh Timeless Taupes palette.
And at the time of me filming this video,
this palette is actually sold out.
Like I would be surprised if it didn't come back in stock.
I think that they like to do a sellout at first,
get everybody excited,
have people putting it on their wishlist.
And then I bet you this is gonna be back soon
or at least for holiday.
So I'm gonna tell you guys about it.
This product I did receive in PR.
I am on their PR list.
So thank you so much Hong Van Goh Beauty
for sending me your stuff.
So I can review it for you guys here on this channel.
It doesn't matter if it was sent to me in PR guys,
you know I'm always going to be honest about a product.
This, it's a beautiful palette,
but I'm like kind of scratching my head.
Like who is this for?
Because it looks like more of something
that you would see for a makeup artist.
This type of like huge palette,
it's the kind of thing that we saw,
I don't know, maybe like five years ago, right?
Comment down below.
I wanna hear your guys' thoughts about this palette.
Is it tempting you?
I do find that whenever any brand comes out
with an all matte palette,
people just seem to ravenously gobble it up
off of the Sephora website.
Like people are obsessed with all matte looks right now.
Like it's either an all matte palette
or it's an eyeshadow single or it's nothing.
That seems to be what is trending right now.
I would probably have thought
that he would launch something like this,
but in a smaller capacity.
I was surprised to see something so big.
I don't really feel like I need this many shades,
although the shades are beautiful.
There is something that is very aesthetically pleasing
about that gorgeous gradient of like the warm tones
and the cool tones.
And so perhaps this is very striking on the shelf
or on the browse page, on your mobile app
or on social media.
I do think it has that kind of like hanger appeal
or viral appeal.
So maybe that's why he decided to go with something
that's bigger.
Cause it's like, boom, it's like holiday season.
I don't know.
But I was kind of surprised to see this.
I was like, who is this for?
Why is this sold out?
Why are we obsessed with all matte looks?
I don't know, friends.
Anyway, let's stop that rant
and let's actually talk about if this palette is any good.
I do think his eyeshadows are really good.
I think they are some of the best ones at Sephora.
I think that Hong Van Goh,
I think Danessa Myricks and Natasha Denona,
who we're gonna talk about in just a second.
I think that they have the best eyeshadow palettes
if we're talking about something
that is for eyeshadow palette lovers, all right?
We're not comparing these up against
like a little YSL quad or whatever.
If we're talking about like more substantial palettes,
if you love eyeshadow, those are my favorites.
And I think that his formula is really nice.
I think the looks that I did with this are beautiful.
I find that the mattes are silky and blendable
and easy to work with.
Would I choose this over my Viseart palette?
I don't think so.
I still prefer the Viseart formula.
I love those palettes.
If you have Viseart palettes,
if you have any of their all matte ones,
I don't think you need to go and run out
and get any of the all matte palettes from Sephora.
I'm usually pretty unimpressed
with most of the eyeshadow palettes at Sephora these days.
And in many cases, my Viseart palettes
can like do half of the ones that are out there.
Now I did promise you some Natasha Denona
in this video today.
So up next, we have the new Natasha Denona
I Need a Cool palette.
Another neutral palette from Natasha Denona.
Just after she launched the I Need a Tan palette,
like did we need another palette so soon?
Those of you who like cool tones,
you're saying yes, yes we did.
Because this is a very cool tone palette.
Those of you who like cool tones,
I think you're really going to enjoy this.
I find that compared to her other midi palettes,
the I Need a Cool, this is more like taupey and gray.
I'll show you some side by sides here.
The I Need a Nude palette,
this is more pinky and mauvey leaning.
And then the Glam palette, this is more brownie leaning.
The I Need a Cool is definitely more cool tone.
And what I do like about this palette
is that like the right side of the palette,
it's more like gray and grazes.
And then the left side of the palette is more brownie.
So I did do two looks with each side of the palette.
Today on my eyes, I'm actually wearing the more brownie look
which still looks very cool.
You know, it kind of depends on the shades that you use,
but I think it's absolutely stunning.
I think that the quality is really good.
Again, I think that these are some of the best
larger eyeshadow palettes at Sephora.
I have noticed that in these recent eyeshadow palette
releases that she's come out with,
she's really toning down
all of the different like new finishes.
Like remember when Natasha Nona was like,
this is the wet look, and this is the chromey, creamy look,
and this is the like cream to powder matte,
and this is like the mattey, mattery matte.
Like I feel like it kind of overwhelmed a lot of us,
the consumers, and not every new formula
that she came out with was a slam dunk.
I feel like she's picking the more standard ones
that people tend to like,
and people have that are like more user-friendly,
if that makes sense.
She's kind of just like sticking to what she knows.
She's churning out the palettes,
and she is charging a slightly higher price.
So I don't know how I feel about that.
Like I kind of would like
some slightly more impressive formulas for the higher price,
but then at the same time, you know,
she is giving us consistency when it comes to quality.
So I don't know.
Let me know what direction you kind of lean towards,
but I really like this palette.
I think it's beautiful.
Cool tones are not my favorite, you guys know.
The tan palette is gonna be more of like my vibe
because I love more of like the browns and the bronzes
and the toasty warm tones.
But overall, I really like this.
These palettes, along with the Hung Van Gogh and the Danessa,
these are gonna beat out like the Mario's
and the Patrick Ta's in my book any day.
Next up, let's go a little bit simpler.
I have the Say Single eyeshadows that just released.
This is a baked formula.
These promise 16-hour wear, and I picked up two shades.
First up, I picked a matte.
This one is called Biscotti.
It is described as a warm tan.
And then the second one that I got is called Tartuffo.
I love these names.
They make me so hungry.
And this one is described as a shimmering taupe.
They're very smooth.
It's a very nice baked formula.
It's not baked gelee.
It's not gonna give you that airbrush look
that you would get, you know,
like something from Tom Ford or Sisley, for example.
But they are gonna give you some light reflection
and a decently smooth look like an hourglass powder,
for example, or like the Kosas blushes.
It's like that style of baked powder.
I feel like they go on very smoothly.
They're really easy to work with.
I think these two shades that I've used,
it's kind of like a great little,
you know, it could be a one-and-done
or a two-and-done style of look,
which is how I wore them together.
I wouldn't say that these last 16 hours.
They last decently long,
but I would not say that they were as vibrant
as I would like them to be
at the end of like an eight-hour workday, for example.
I really did put these to the test.
I didn't get creasing from these.
I was looking at a lot of the other single eyeshadows
that are at Sephora.
I do think that these are probably the best
as it relates to a powder formula.
If you want something that isn't gonna crease on you,
isn't gonna last all day,
and you want some really nice,
like grown-up, sophisticated shades,
for the price, I think that these are excellent
because a lot of the ones that have been released lately,
they're more like that cream-to-powder formula,
which is nice, which is unique,
but on a lot of us, you know, they do crease.
If your eyelids are oily
or maybe like a little bit more hooded,
if that is something that you struggle with,
I would probably stay away
from like the Violette France ones,
the Marc Jacobs ones.
Those are beautiful,
and you get kind of like more stunning metallics,
and you get more of like a sheen
and like a brighter shine from those,
but they might crease on you.
So we have to think about the different formulations
and what is going to suit our eyelids the best.
So yeah, I think that these are really great.
I think that they are solid
if you're looking for single eyeshadows.
I'm more of a palette girly myself.
So these are not like a groundbreaking discovery for me,
but I do think that these are going to be
in a lot of people's hearts
come the upcoming Sephora sale later this season.
And finally, let's talk about some new lip releases,
starting off with what is on my lips today.
This is the new Violette France Bisous Balm
in the shade Chocolat.
And this is the most stunning blurring matte lip color.
It is buildable, but you guys know,
these are, they're more of a sheer formula.
It's the kind of formula that you pick up
if you like want a red lip
or you want a brown lip or a plum lip,
but you don't want to fully commit
because they have this kind of like sheer,
you know, soft matte blurring cloud-like type of texture
and finish to them.
And the chocolate one, my friends,
this has got to be my favorite.
Like this is such a Sophia shade.
It is described as being a cool brown.
I was getting a lot of questions about it.
If you take a look at it,
it has kind of like a rosy,
slightly plummy undertone to it.
And I think that that makes it very flattering
on a lot of different lip tones
and, you know, complexion colors.
My lips are naturally very pink.
So keep in mind, it's going to look less cool brown on me
because I have so much warmth to my lips.
A lot of you guys were saying,
oh, I'm surprised it's not more brown.
Keep in mind, it's going to sort of melt into your lips
and really adapt with your natural lip color.
So for some of you guys,
this might look a little bit more brown,
but it's very sheer.
And then you can kind of like build it up
and it is just so, so pretty.
Today, I wore it with a lip liner,
which is kind of like a nudie brown liner,
just so you guys can see what that looks like
because in the demo, I don't use liners.
I just put it to my lips so that you could see,
you know, what it looks like
without having to buy or use a different product.
But I think this is absolutely stunning.
And then the other color that Violette France just launched
is in their Jelly Formula, the Bisous Jelly Balms.
They came out with a fig shade.
I mean, this is just the brand
that just keeps on giving this fall.
Like what two colors and foods and flavors
are more perfectly suited to me than these?
It's like chocolate and figs.
Those are like my two favorite foods, guys,
and my favorite sorts of colors when it comes to makeup.
So I was super excited to try the chocolate shade
and then this fig jam shade.
I'm not even gonna say it in French.
I know I'm just going to butcher it,
but it's supposed to give that like jammy,
figgy look to the lips.
If you're not familiar with this particular product,
it's kind of like the hydrating, sheer,
slightly shiny sister to the Bisous balm
that I have on my lips right now.
So, you know, this is something that's very sheer.
It's a soft matte.
The jelly product is the same,
but it's more of like that hydrating type of finish
as opposed to matte.
So you have kind of like a lip balm
on the outside of the bullet.
And then in the center, you have the color.
So then when you drag it along your lips,
it just like blurs the color as you apply it,
giving you that look like you've been kissed, basically.
It's supposed to be like, oh, it's a French girl lip.
Bisous, bisous, bisous.
It's supposed to be like that.
So if you're not familiar,
that's the concept of the product.
This color, I think this one and the Palme d'Amour,
the candy apple one, those two are my favorites.
Don't be afraid to choose a deeper or brighter color
than you're used to in these formulas from Violette Brands
because they are sheer and they are blurred.
You can pull it off if you're kind of intimidated again
by like a brighter lip, a red lip, a purple lip.
So don't be afraid to go for these darker colors
because the lighter colors,
I find that they don't show up enough
for it to be worth it for me.
I like the deeper, brighter colors.
And yeah, that's what I go to them for.
You can find these at Sephora.
I do have a coupon code for the Violette Brands website
if there's anything else that you want to get from the site.
So I'll put it up here on the screen,
but these two shades are also now at Sephora.
I also quickly want to show you guys,
I did receive one of the new shades
of the Fenty Gloss Bomb Stix.
I just love this formula.
Don't buy the shimmery ones.
The shimmery ones are like chunky and gritty and weird.
We want to buy the smooth, non-glittery version.
So I'll make sure I remember to say that here
because I made that mistake before.
But anyway, Fenty came out with some new shades
and this one right here is definitely my favorite.
It's called Lust Bunny.
I know the name is so weird.
These brands and these names, I cannot,
like I feel so awkward saying them on camera sometimes.
But anyway, this is described as a rose nude
and this has been one of my go-to nude lip colors
over the past, when did I get this?
Two, three weeks ago at this point.
It's such a good shade.
And if you're not familiar with this formula,
these give you the most amazing glazed donut lips.
Oh, it's very similar to the YSL Candy Glaze lipsticks.
It's very, very similar.
Maybe these are like a little bit glossier, but either way,
find the color that you like, grab it.
I absolutely love these from Fenty.
So I just wanted to show you this color
because this has been a favorite.
And if I haven't put it in a favorites video yet,
it's gonna be in the next one.
I hope that you enjoyed this little rundown today.
Up next, I have my top shelf
