AI GeneratedThe speaker shares their passion for reviving the art of handwritten letters through a seasonal subscription service. By sending thoughtful, scented messages of insight and enlightenment, they aim to provide recipients with timely reminders and a sense of human connection that transcends the digital world.
A few months ago I had the idea of how beautiful it would be if you wrote letters to each other again, just like people used to.
Like, just imagine opening your mailbox and instead of finding a bill or letter from an authority, finding a handwritten letter would be so cool.
I wanted to write letters, but I didn't know who to write them to.
Quite often I receive, like, kind of thoughts or messages that feel bigger than myself.
Messages that I feel are not meant only for me, but are meant to be heard by so many other people.
So usually I would just share those thoughts on my Instagram stories, but then I had this idea.
How beautiful would it be if these messages could arrive as a little reminder, reminders that reach you at just the right time, not online, but through a letter.
So no matter where you are in the world, you just receive a handwritten letter.
I don't know, I just love the idea.
So I thought, why not just starting a subscription?
Every three months with each new season, I send a handwritten letter to people and since then I continued doing it every season.
When I was preparing the spring letters, another idea came to me.
I wanted to add a little bit perfume to them, just to create an even deeper sense of connection.
So for each season, I choose a different fragrance that matches its mood and the feeling and also how I'm feeling.
I also found out that Montblanc has scented ink and before I found that out, I had been wondering where the perfume should go.
Like into the wax that sounded a little bit frisky or perhaps onto the wax seal.
So in the end, I decided to spray it onto the wax and then a little bit more at the very end.
So the scent would stay with the letter.
Anyways, I don't want to talk too much.
I would rather let you just enjoy the process of watching me write these letters.
They require a great deal of attention and time, which is why I like to slow down and dedicate that time to each individual letter.
And this time I thought it would be nice to just film the process and show you exactly how I write one letter.
Sometimes I add a small simple illustration and sometimes I don't.
It depends entirely on how I feel and if it fits the message or not.
I write about things that felt like moments of insight to me, like enlightenment and kind of like light.
Just thoughts that move something within me or help me see life from a different perspective.
I write with the hope and I'm truly full of hope that each letter finds the right person at the right time.
That when they open it, it brings just like a little light into their life too.
Over the time I received so many messages from letter club members.
Some have hung the letters on the walls at home, which is so cool.
Others kept them safely stored in special boxes and some place them like kind of somewhere visible,
so they can return to them every few days and read them again and again, just like reminders.
So no matter how these letters serve or support you, it just makes me happy to know that a small part of me can be with you.
And if you want to be a member of the letter club, of the handwritten letter club,
you can just go to the link in my bio in the caption here.
And yeah, other than that, I hope you enjoy the video and see this as a sign to start writing letters too.
