AI GeneratedAn explorer travels by bicycle to a remote, restricted archaeological site near Luxor, Egypt. The site features massive megalithic structures and ruins that are reportedly older than Luxor itself. The narrator examines the architecture from outside the perimeter, suggesting that the core stone structures may predate the Egyptian hieroglyphs found on the surface plaster.
My friend is an Egyptian archaeologist and he says not even the tour guides know about this.
There is this ancient Egyptian site near Luxor, Egypt with megalithic work that most people have
never seen or heard about. I'm bicycling to this site that's way out of the way. I'm told it's
older than Luxor. Oh wow. Look. You see this? There's just ruins everywhere. I've never been
to this site. Nobody really knows about it and I'm going to show it to you. You're going to see
this site for possibly your very first time. Ready? Let's go. I'm bicycling to this site
that's way out of the way. There's no way tourists get here. It's a long way, but I'm told it's older
than Luxor. So we're going to see. I don't see anything. I'm looking. Do you see anything off
in the horizon? I do not see anything. The site looks huge from Google Earth.
Oh, I'm going to have to go through this dirt. All I brought was a bottle of water. I thought there
might be stories here, but now I'm thinking that there's not. Okay. It's beautiful though.
This is Egypt. I'm about five, six kilometers outside of Luxor.
It should be right up here somewhere. Oh, it scared me.
Let's see. You definitely can't walk this.
Let's see. I think it's right around this corner.
Let's see. Let's see. Let's see. I think it's right here. Let's see.
This hill is hard to get up. Yeah, it's right here. It's right here. I'm a little tired.
All wet from sweat, but I hope this site is worth it. We'll see.
Okay. There's a clearing over here. Oh, look. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is it. This is it.
Okay. We're here. Wow. Let's get over here so you can see it. Oh, look, let me show you.
Let me show you what's here. Oh, wow. Look. You see this? And then there's a big, uh,
I think that's a colossi. I'm not sure. Or no, maybe it's a gate. No gate, but there's just
ruins everywhere. Huh? It's time to explore. They won't let anybody in. You need special
permission to get in. So I'm on the wall. I'm on, I have to stay on this side of the wall,
but nobody's allowed here. I mean, I can understand why they don't want public in here.
It's not, um, it's not safe. And you have all these archaeological rocks and, uh, it looks
like they're still digging here. So I can understand that. And even so I'm still going
to try to get in. So, um, let me show you what I see. So these columns are not one piece.
You can clearly see they're not. So I'm looking for a column that might be.
Uh, it looks like there are columns that are one piece in there.
So let's walk around this site. I can only walk around this area here. I can only walk
around the fence, the fence here. But I was upset that I wasn't able to get in,
but I do understand. And, um, I didn't want to leave without showing you Earth Explorer viewers
what's here. I'm going to, I'm going to be zooming in because I can't, I can't get close
to these things. Can't get real close. So, excuse me, let me put on my gimbal. So I put my gimbal on
and let's look at this site.
There's this large wall here. You can see all the, the, uh, the, uh, keystones and the,
the T-clamps that are here. All these old sites that we don't know anything about have these,
have these, uh, T-clamps on them or keystones. And so on the outside, on the outskirts of this wall,
I see Egyptian hieroglyphs. You can see, uh, you can see them here, but, um, look at this,
this, the rock looks old and you have Egyptian hieroglyphs sporadically along, along the, uh,
the outside of this bottom part of the wall. But if you look closely, they look like it's,
it looks like it's some type of plaster that's on the outside. You see this? This is not, uh,
this is not part of the rock. It's on the outside. You can clearly see that.
You see, this is the outside of that plaster area where the Egyptian hieroglyphs are.
So the rock structure, um, is quite possibly much, much, much older. And, uh, I would go
on to say it is, but, um, you can see clearly the plaster that's on these rocks. Let's examine
these columns here. I'm gonna go slowly up. It looks like the one in the, uh, in the foreground
is one column. It looks a lot older than the ones in the background. The background, you can see
the ones, they're, they're, uh, they're cut. They're, they're in sections. Uh, and this top
area I want to look at. Now, um, I'm gonna read what one, um, what a friend of mine is an Egyptian
archaeologist, and I'm gonna read you what he, what he, uh, what he said about this site. Um,
no one's allowed in it. And, uh, so you're maybe one of the first ones just to
see a video of it. Uh, it looks like there's some restoration right here, right along this wall here.
Um, I'm gonna go to these rocks in the back and see how close, see how much I can zoom into these
rocks right here. Let's look at these. There's a line going across. I see a line, see that
line, straight line going across? Yeah, these are definitely carved. These belong to a wall or
something. Okay, let me, uh, walk over here. I want to see what this is right here.
And what is this right here? And we have some pretty, we have some pretty, um,
well-structured rock here. Okay, I won't go anymore. Let's go, let's go in here.
Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. All right, let's go, yeah.
Background here that I want to zoom into. Let's see. I'm trying to zoom slowly, and it's right here.
Let's look at this. Let's see if I can get a little closer. Get as close as I can get.
Let's look at this site. Oh, look at these, look at the stones here. These things are huge.
Thank you for watching. This is just a short video of a site that's still being excavated,
so we may see more things coming out of here. I've been traveling and taking care of business
for the last six weeks, but I am back in Peru, and I have some really good explorations and
unknown sites to show you. So take care and be safe, and I'm going to leave you with a small
clip showing you the human scale of one of the great pyramids. Take care. So I want to show the
human scale here. You can see how massive these things are. You never really get an idea until
you have a human next to it. We're going to go closer. You can see this, and the entrance
is right here. If you liked this video, if you learned anything, or if you just want to explore,
click this video right here. This is something you've never seen. Take care, guys. Come with me,
and together we can discover and explore Earth's ancient, strange, and unknown sites.
So subscribe and come along.
