Forgotten Croatian Symphony – Sorkočević Andante | Croatian Guitar Quartet | Live | 4K

Luka Sorkočević (1734–1789), one of the earliest Croatian symphonic composers from Dubrovnik, wrote his Symphony No. 3 in D major during the Classical period.

This second movement (Andante) is presented here in a rare arrangement for guitar quartet, performed live at the Samobor Music Festival 2025.

The transparency of four classical guitars reveals the elegance, balance and Mediterranean character of Sorkočević’s writing in a unique and intimate way.
