We Find Antique & Vintage Deals Others Miss

The best finds may still be waiting when everyone else thinks the antique show is picked over.

Sunday shopping is great at Springfield, Ohio’s big antique extravaganza! We test the idea that the show is already thoroughly picked by walking through the back rows that exhausted shoppers overlook at this giant antique fair. The hunt quickly delivers great deals on Roseville Pottery, vintage collectibles and an enormous 1950s store display.

We’re too busy selling to shop on opening day, when this huge antique fest draws resellers from around the country, so we close our booth Sunday morning and see what collectors overlook and what sellers don’t want to keep. Fire-King mugs, Indian brass and a pile of vintage Starr-X soda bottle openers join our purchases as we discover plenty of items with strong collector and resale appeal.

A huge 1950s shoe store display sends us back to our booth with an oversized load, but the shopping continues on the other side of the park. Viewers who are selling at the show have booths full of Blenko glass, antique furniture and other vintage finds, and we bring home treasures to share at future shows and with our online collector audience. Sunday bargain shopping proves there is still plenty to find!
