For decades the town of Kymore, in northern India, has been plagued by asbestos.

Located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, it was chosen by the British company Turner and Newall as the location for the first asbestos factory in India in the 1930s.

But ever since, more than one million tonnes of soil have been contaminated with asbestos, with thousands of people developing cancer and serious lung diseases.

But with an estimated £100 million needed to clean up the town, ITV News went to investigate how bad the problem has become, and if there is any way it can be fixed.
