Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky spoke for the first time about the Third Corps' offensive operation "Vivaldi" in the northern Donetsk region. According to him, Ukrainian units cleared several settlements of occupiers and liberated Seredne. According to Biletsky, during the operation, Ukrainian troops cleared 75 square kilometers of territory and de-occupied another 10 square kilometers. These include Novoselivka, Aleksandrivka, Yarovaya, the outskirts of Korovy Yar, and Sredny.
The Ukrainian side also reports significant losses among Russian troops. The enemy lost approximately 1,500 troops, over 12,000 drones, as well as hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems, and automobiles. At the same time, unmanned aerial vehicle units launched strikes against Russian logistics. As a result of the attacks, the Russian army shifted fuel and lubricant supplies outside of Ukraine, to the Voronezh region. Biletsky stated that pipelines and warehouses were disabled. He added that units of the 60th and 125th Brigades, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion and the 25th Separate Tank Battalion, as well as forces of the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the State Border Service are participating in the operation. Biletsky noted that open sources are already discussing the possible goal of the offensive—reaching the Black Stallion River. However, the general urged caution against jumping to conclusions, emphasizing that the current phase of the operation is only the first of four.
Prior to this, Biletsky spoke about the Kremlin's updated plans for the occupation of Ukraine. At the moment, according to Biletsky, Moscow has two strategic objectives: to seize Donbass and to break Ukraine through terror. "The Russians have two key strategic goals. The first is directly related to the front. It's the final capture of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. They don't like to talk about Luhansk, but it still hasn't been captured entirely. This is their strategic goal, which allows them to end the war without losing their reputation. The second strategic goal is, of course, economic and civilian terrorism," the general explained. He called the Kremlin's demand that the military seize Donbass within the next three months "absolutely fantastic." Moreover, according to Biletsky, Ukraine "has every chance" of holding onto Donbass. "The Ukrainian front has every chance of holding advantageous defensive lines, maintaining the so-called belt of fortified cities, and improving the situation in some areas of the Donetsk front," the general said. He announced that within a month, Ukraine would demonstrate to the world an undeniable improvement in its military positions on the front.
