🎬 ABOUT BEHIND THE MASK 🎬

To expose a drug ring controlled by a notorious criminal mastermind, federal agent Jack Hart (Jack Holt) goes to prison posing as a convicted criminal to befriend Henderson (Boris Karloff), an associate of the syndicate's mysterious leader, Mr. X. With the clues provided by Henderson, Holt engineers a prison break before setting out to track down another syndicate partner, whose daughter, Julie (Constance Cummings), falls in love with him. Killing her dad, Mr. X's enforcer kidnaps then Julie. But when Hart sets out to save her, the hit man turns the tables on the federal agent, forcing Julie to become a hero instead.
