Held on July 13, 1985, it was one of the most ambitious and iconic music events of the 20th century, organized to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Spearheaded by musicians Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, Live Aid took place simultaneously at London’s Wembley Stadium and Philadelphia’s John F. Kennedy Stadium, featuring a lineup that included some of the most prominent artists of the time.
